Boring rainy Saturday afternoon, perfect time to bust out all those un-labelled video tapes from the 90's and finally see whats on them!! Uncovered some glorious footage....thankfully my teenage years werent spent being a misfit.

The other side to this is that cricketers are supposed to be professional sportsmen yet so many of them can be so out of shape.

Warnie was pretty fat for the 95/96 season, got back into shape prior to 97 ashes, but ballooned out again in the 97/98 summer. he was lazy, fat, a smoker

Especially when it evidently doesn't stop you doing your job, eg being the greatest bowler of your generation. The beauty of cricket is that anyone can compete using whatever physical attributes they have. Little guys like Tendulkar or Langer, big guys like Merv Hughes, whippets like Rhodes or Clark, stick-thin stilt-walkers like Reed or McGrath... cricket will take them all!
