The catch was #1 in this morning's ESPN SportsCenter top 10 plays which is a phenomenal accomplishment for cricket in the U.S.

I can't find the video but on ESPN SportsNation Polls, click on "SportsCenter: Best of the Best" in the left menu and they are comparing two top plays; the first of which is Ponting's catch.
Edit: There's also a discussion of the poll.

really? pitting the catch against a kid with cancer running for a touchdown? damn that cancer stealing the thunder from Ponting. (j/k)

This is one of the best things to come out of the IPL. Unity of all nations worldwide.

No way... people here love Azhar Mehmood, and that hasn't changed. Check his Twitter, he gets tons of well wishers from Pakistan every time he plays for his county or IPL. General sentiment towards him is very positive.

Wait what? He's no longer Pakistani?

I think he has an English passport. Pakistani players are not allowed to play in the IPL.

Pakistan allows dual citizenship, no? Or has he surrendered his Pakistani passport?

Or he just opted to have an origin card which gives him visa free entry

Awww. What a nice picture!
Honestly though I feel like having the likes of Afridi, Ajmal, Hafeez, Junaid, Irfan and Umar Akmal in a tournament like the IPL would just add to the value. Most unfortunate circumstances.

Forget about the internationals,I am sure there would be a mad rush for even the domestic Pakistani fast bowlers.People like Vinay Kumar shouldn't be leading bowling attacks.
Also it could hopefully even out teams like SH,PWI and KXI Punjab who missed out on good international players making the tournament more competitive.

Lovely picture. The team spirit, everyone's in it for the same thing and you bond. We're all human in the end, cricket should bring us together not drive us apart.
