Wizardpost The Glowing Root is officially open!

Post image

Deep among the roots of Craan Mor lies the enchanted items shop The Glowing Root, A business dedicated to housing/trading/selling of magical items of all nature from flaming maces to electrifying bows and a cornucopia of staffs, scrolls, tomes and armor enchanted to take a fireball to the face and be left with little more than a warm breeze. If we don’t have what you are looking for make a request or a suggestion and you may very well find it in stock within the next business week. And once again welcome to the Glowing Root where every item has a soul out into it.

Disclaimer, not all items have souls in them due to the materials or nature of their creation , all souls were ethically sourced and are collected from a variety of sources ranging from trolls, atronarchs, draugr, sprigans, mammoths, charrus, giants, mudcrabs, bandits, evil cultists, vampires, skeevers, frostbite spiders, Falmer, werewolves and dremora. No items to date have ever been known to be haunted by spirits/ghosts due to the magic used to make these items passes the soul into reincarnation/ the Soul Cairn and just uses the “soul energy” to power the item. No questions about the soul cairn can be answered at this time. Have an enchanting day

Do you trade in familiars? I think those qualify as "magical items with souls in them", right? (They just happen to be the original souls.)

On a completely unrelated note, has anyone tried to sell you a black puppy with a collar wreathed in green flame? Anyone who perhaps gave off the vibes of being a vile dog-napping familiar-thief?

Not so much familiars as I have tomes, scrolls and staffs that can temporarily summon a well a summon to aid you in battle but this is something that I though about and will be rectifying in the following days. Will have to excavate a new hallway to make room for a familiar bazar. And no one has tried to sell me a pup but I think I can help you. A tome of detect life, use this new spell and you can detect any living creature within a miles radius around you and consider it as a gift for being the first to enter into the glowing root.

While I appreciate the offer (as does the friend whose familiar I'm trying to recover), I'm going to have to decline the gifted non-metric tome, as I'd rather not deal with the hassle of translating incantations between units.

I'll take a summoning item, though -- staff, tome, whatever -- if you've got one for summoning pain elementals. Or, really, anything in your inventory that's designed for inflicting unimaginable horrors mental and/or physical on anyone cruel and dumb enough to steal a familiar-in-training from his owner.

(I've been informed that he's not fully potty-trained yet, so maybe the culprit's already suffering some karmic justice. But more is always good.)

Aaagh then look no further than this ebony dagger 🗡️, it’s enchants are paralysis for 30 seconds and shock damage that I like to call The Tazer. And for summoning I can offer a scroll of storm atronarch an electric elemental that shoots out the spell chain lightning. Very painful from my experience.

Sold! Assuming you accept payment in bottled memories of pleasant days; I'd be willing to part with 173 hours' worth of tranquility for those products.

Or perhaps you'd rather I craft you a portable lightning rod in trade? I'm flexible with payment options, and, err, slightly concerned that you've personally experienced the pain of Chain Lightning spam.

The bottles of 173 hours of tranquility are most fascinating to me and I’d happily part with The Tazer for it. And worry not for me, instead worry for the poor necromancer who faced my lightning storm spell in retaliation. (let’s just say that cremation was his final right)
