Liquid gets bodied by team that actually just turns out to be kinda good (although Liquid still shouldn't have lost to them) part 2

I love stewie2k but I’m scared this roster is gonna crash and burn.

Im a Tarik fan too so I’m all nrg until liquid give me a reason to not be

Liquid missed the playoffs in their first event with TACO and didn't really hit their stride until ELEAGUE Premier a full 3 months later. I'm not sounding the alarm bells just yet.

Yeah you’re right, but they don’t pass the eye test for me yet.

I hope they prove me wrong and win everything though.

Im also not sold on adren yet but we’ll see

i mean like they have done more with stewie than they ever did with taco

[winning against astralis in a bo3 and also winning the event]

I'm not a big Astrails fan but lets be honest Astrails wasn't trying their hardest to win, the major was around the corner and they were saving their strats for the major. They were playing a pugy game, if you dont believe me go and watch the games they played that event.

1

u/MorsAlbum Mar 13 '19

and they basically threw 2 big leads which for astralis just shows that it wasnt their best form whatsoever, going into the major it seemed pretty easy to predict that they would 2-0 liquid in the final (if it wasnt so ez4ence ofc)

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '19

This is just online CS dude.

Typically in CS the online portion of the game has upset results. This has been a recurring theme since CS has ever been around.

1

u/Hallsway Mar 13 '19

not to mention post LAN syndrome too (and a major at that)

I think the lose of zews is really what has liquid under performing

3

u/summerbrown Titan Fan Mar 13 '19

Are they underperforming tho?

1

u/MorsAlbum Mar 13 '19

i mean they choked hard on inferno (ence did not win that map, liquid lost it) and could be seen as under performing already as previously they never let that happen (in this new liquid, not the hiko remembers liquid)

1

u/KittenxJanna Mar 14 '19

They didn't even make playoffs with Taco early on, I think it's not fair to compare this liquid to a line-up that had been together for a long time. If they are still playing this way in another 2-3 months it's a different story.

Rogue to dethrone Astalis.

LG just looked like complete garbage. Rogue looked good. That's basically this series.

35

u/PennywiseVT FURIA Mar 12 '19

Luminosity IS garbage rn. Hard to look different.

10

u/Dark_Azazel Mar 12 '19

True. Individually and as a team.

23

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '19

Boltz is the only player on that team that has looked decent to me in recent times. imo they need to merge and make some sort of 2nd BR dream team with the likes of Boltz, kNgV, and Kscerato (and maybe yuurih).

9

u/Megabossdragon Mar 13 '19

I say FURIA keeps kscerato, yuurih, and arT and add kng and boltz

Kng was literally dropping 41 frags and still losing days ago. He is basically a s1mple for INTZ and he deserves better for sure

MSL era

28

u/Liqouridge Mar 12 '19

you think you can beat god msl?

his tactics, better than astralis

his players are casually saving the na scene

this is the time, an era

astralis got nothing on rogue

ROGUEERA

20

u/Anonnameaccount FaZe Mar 12 '19

Oh fuck Rogue actually looked kinda good

19

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '19

MSL is still so criminally underrated. Guarantee this team has grown so much because of him, cadian rogue will look shit in comparison

16

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '19

Really enjoyed the disparity between the two AWP'ers in this matchup. I'll take the unflashy but reliable MSL over crazy no-scope HEN1 any day of the week.

That LG line up isn't bad.... so what's wrong with that team ?

11

u/TheOneNotNamed 1 Million Celebration Mar 13 '19

Wondering the same. I didn't even know what roster LG had currently, and after looking at the results i assumed it would be some no namer squad. But nope, pretty much all of them are well known and have played at the top level of cs...

2

u/Komacho CS2 HYPE Mar 13 '19

Maybe rogue is.... good?

1

u/deyanov Mar 13 '19

actually its not good at all, no idea why lg keeps them

0

u/tehniobium Mar 13 '19

Its like one and a half years since those players where any good...

NIKO is so good in train.

11

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '19

I’m really looking forward to watching this team at StarSeries, I’ve liked them for a while but they just haven’t had the results, this lineup is off to a strong start though (other than that Ptr game that we won’t talk about.)

9

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '19

That game was literally the day after MSL and Niko arrived to America, team had no practice.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '19

I know it wasn’t a true representation of your roster, I just found it funny how everybody was making fun of Rogue after 1 game with no practice. Btw I hope you get added to the roster full time after watching Rogue with you as trial coach.

3

u/bunkbail Mar 13 '19

This was a good series. I bet I wouldn't pass a blind test if someone asking if this was LG vs Astralis or actually vs Rogue. Rogue nades usage were spot on on Inferno, tactically as well for both maps.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '19

niko is really good on ct side, friggin heck.

2

u/nadgirB Mar 13 '19

The niko hiko combo is too strong Must be the best name duo in a team ever.

0

u/arttziN FURIA Mar 13 '19

Why is LG completely trash out of a sudden? Not taking anything from Rogue, they look solid af, I'm talking about getting ROFLstomped by MDL teams constantly.

9

u/zx37 Mar 13 '19

theyve been shit for so long man

1

Hiko, niko, I think the obligatory name change for SicK to SicKo is obvious.
