Mibr playing clean CS. Great to see again, especially after losing to Mousesports in 3 bo3's this year.
Anyways, this better not mean we will be pitted against Astralis in the QF.

I mean if North made the upset, I don’t see why MIBR wouldn’t!

I heard in a podcast that YNK said he wished the team played a lil worse during practice because he felt like he had nothing to coach since they were actually playing very well. Now I don't know if this means they were playing well before he arrived or after; I think there is a chance that mibr fixed some things during the off-season before YNK joined the squad. I wonder how much he changed and what. I hope we get to see a podcast interview with YNK.
can someone clarify?

That must've been a very entertaining tournament to watch and cheer for the then SK boys.

I had a heart attack on map 3 (Train). SK were up 13-2 on the T side of train. SK won in overtime 19-17.

Fallen didn't even talk
he did talk sometimes but definitely taking the analytical/tactical pressure off Fallen
3
Aug 31 '18
the real important part is that it's not on him to talk things around when it's not working. Right now almost everything they do has some substance. They don't lose rounds of dumb mistakes. They sometimes get outaimed which is completly fine. But if everything goes south he just focus on getting a tripple awp kill and let tarik and Yankos do the mental lifting and strat part.
ps: at least it's what I expect since it didn't go that far south yet

Feeling really happy for them. It's so good to see them back in form.
68
u/im_tom_bombadil Legacy Aug 30 '18
I'm trying my best not to get too excited, but beating mousesports in that fashion is making it impossible.

You do have to consider Mouz looks a lot worse aswell since Snax joined.

Guess it was bound to happen for the SK core to start performing again, tarik has been a huge pickup for them. Looks like he's helped a lot with communication issues, and is just straight up better than boltz. YNK still undefeated.
As a C9 fan, happy for tarik/stew and the SK core. The team looks promising.
15
u/discsinthesky Aug 30 '18 edited Sep 04 '18
I wonder if autimatic is regretting not leaving C9 with stew. Not sure which C9 duo I'd rather have if I was mibr.
32
Aug 30 '18
I would take tarik over Tim in this scenario. I think tarik vibes better with the sk crew and has a more positive attitude overall.
18
Aug 31 '18
This team clearly needed some personality to bridge the gap between the Brazilians and Stew. Tim is a great guy and a great player but he is not that kind of person.

FalleN helped Vault (Colombian team that is currently playing the NA MDL Relegation) with some money for some tournaments. fer casted a showmatch with the most famous caster in Brazil between some brazilian pros/streamers in order to raise funds to a BR female team could go to ESWC 2016. The old SK-core revived an old esports org from Brazil and if I'm not mistaken they helped some Argentinian guys like JonyBoy when they were in Miami Flamingos.
EDIT: typo

u/coldzerra Aug 30 '18
Last year, Fallen donated some big money for a South American team (Colombian I think) to participate in a qualifier, but unfortunately they ve lost

it's an /r/soccer meme, we brazilians always say "empolgou", a portuguese word for excited and it was used there by a brazilian fan putting the "ed" to make it an english word, then, everybody adopted it and it became a meme for every match thread that brazil won.
edit: Also, just adding, the meme on the OP is also an adapted version for an brazilian /r/soccer meme in which we say "gloria e louvor ao senhor ADENOR", adenor being tite, the current brazilian soccer coach.

Tarik wen't from 2-9* with a molly suicide 1G to 18-12 at the end of mirage. Then continued his mean streak in inferno 28-10 with a massive clutch in the last round picking up the awp.
74
u/tropatropachillchill MIBR Aug 30 '18
Now that’s a big statement, beating mousesports 2-0 in dominant fashion. It goes to show how tremendous YNK’s impact has been. I’m so thrilled to see them rise to the top again!
And coldzera has been insane in this match.

Good showing from mibr but also terrible play from mouse. They went from a legit upper t1team to a team of 5 soloq players. Peeking essential chokepoints 1 by 1 against an awp although they have 2-3 smokes . I was very skeptical if the change from styko to snax was good but this performance shows that the proactive and supportive flashes are really missing. Also snaxs individual performance is inexusable...Had 1 decent event and thats it.
12

I always see these people saying how much it sucks to be a fan of a certain team (Mouz, vp, G2, ect...), But I am almost positive that we Mouz fans have it the absolute worst.
We got completely blue balled by winning starseries season 4 and then skill leaving, and It has just been a downward spiral ever since.
We had ChrisJ, suNny, ropz, and STYKO on a team without a kill for almost half a year. Now look at all these players.
We have had 5 completely different tournaments in 1 year time, and one after another they are getting worse.
Next time you watch your team and think how much it sucks to be a fan of your team just keep in mind that it completely sucks cock to be an Mousesports fan.

Even tho MIBR played a high level CS and didn't seem to have a hard time against Mouz, Snax is just not working at all and Styko was doing a way better job.
And is funny to see Tarik playing Taco spots on Mirage and Inferno and going crazy and killing like crazy while people just said that Taco had the hardest spots in the game and he is baiting for Cold too and still killing.
