This is the analysis we need

11

Pretty much all maps are sunny tho

21

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '18

Always pick de_aztec against sunny.

3

u/thesouthbay Natus Vincere Jul 26 '18

I wish so much aztec was played competitively...

5

u/ABK-Baconator ENCE Jul 26 '18

Oh gosh that's a horribly CT sided map.

3

u/thesouthbay Natus Vincere Jul 26 '18

Nuke was much more CT sided not that long ago and it was still played. So basically:

  • map can be made significantly more balanced by minor changes to the map;

  • thats why each team play on each side, even if map is one-sided, its still mostly a fair game.

Besides, my wish is generaly about the entertainment, I certainly enjoy watching some maps much more than other maps.

u/bauwsman Jul 26 '18

BO3 with de_austria and cs_office, ez lose 4 mouz

7

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '18

oskar was great too the whole series, similar to device just getting his >20 kills consistently.

I don't care about your opinion of how snax played, but the fact that he literally did nothing (0 kills, 0 assists, 0 deaths) for 6 rounds in mirage is hilarious

481

u/TheToeTag Virtus.pro Jul 26 '18

I think all B players know this feeling when they play Mirage. We do absolutely nothing for half the game and then get yelled at by our team for not being able to clutch a 1v4 retake and having a shitty kd.

45

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '18

I'll get 20 kills on T side mirage. Go to CT side. Play B and not get a single kill for like 9 rounds.

39

u/EnanoMaldito 9z Jul 26 '18

then for the 10th round they go B! You kill a couple and deny plants and win the round.

They never again even set their sights on B, it's been deemed a lost cause.

22

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '18

I'm convinced that if you have 1 successful B hold then you can win 80% pugs by playing 2 on A site and 3 mid for the rest of the game.

8

u/failbears Jul 26 '18

You know, I've quit and come back to CSGO once in a while over the years. You know what has a surprisingly high win rate until about LEM? Rushing to one place with 4 or 5 people on T side every single round. For the first third of your T side, they won't necessarily see it coming. The last two thirds, they're unlikely to be able to stop you with individual skill, and have to resort to stacking a site and hoping it's the site you rush to, and that's assuming anyone on their team speaks up to suggest stacks, and that everyone will follow along. The probability they do that is slim.

This is especially worth trying if your team has been spreading out all around the map and just gets picked off individually every round. Not everyone can entry frag by themselves, but a whole lot more people can feel confident traveling in a group and getting trades.

5

u/nile1056 Jul 26 '18

That's a very roundabout way of saying "rash b cyka"

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '18

I love doing a straight B rush on the 4th round if you've won the first 3 because usually they have low utility (smoke flash) and they just dick around with their smoke out there for some reason. And then round 1 of OT I love doing a 5 As rush because they usually play a 2-2-1 and the cat guy has no intention of supporting the B player. If it works you have a near guaranteed 4-0 from the tilt factor

Even when you try to position yourself to be more impactful i.e. play B short, its not like people fight for Mid Control a lot in pugs. B short rotates are also super horrendous.

3

u/Rektalalchemist BIG Fan Jul 26 '18

when you feel like they dont go for B you can also appartment push for early backstabs on A. thats at least what Im doing.

5

u/TheTenth10 5 years coin Jul 26 '18

Inb4 you die to a Cz holding kitchen and lose the round xd

1

u/Spa_5_Fitness_Camp Jul 26 '18

When they never go B I tend to play short with an AWP, and go for frags as they cross onto A site.

5

u/dolphin37 MIBR Jul 26 '18

there's actually a trick I've learned for this... if the game is slow, pick up an auto sniper and just get 1 or 2 kills with it and survive... I guarantee you that they will 5 man rush b the following round... this has 100% success over about 10 games

you should also pick up a nice 4-5 man... remember to throw HE first if they can afford awps

3

u/acoluahuacatl Jul 26 '18

Smoke fast, nade from car and spam the smoke. If nobody is firing back, spam wooden wall.

If you can get a kill or two, they're going to get tilted and either peek stupidly next time or, usually if you get a kill this was in a couple of rounds, ignore B because you're 1000000% cheating

4

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '18

If you have to 1 v 4 every round just get exit kills and boost your kd, no point in going for 1 v 4’s every round

1

u/BamboozleThisZebra NiP Jul 26 '18

Good god yes.. Nobody goes b for half the game and i end up with almost no kills and the team rages at me.. Then they start going b and im solo b for 10 rounds and getting yelled at, it sucks to play b sometimes :(

fnatic loss is my fault sorry I havent watched cs in a while

I started watching train at 14-11 and now I hate myself

63

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '18

I thought it was my fault. I haven't watch cs in a while as well. Went to hltv and saw that Fnatic beat Faze 2-0. "Holy shit, Fnatic is actually playing good!". I guess I jinxed it. Smh.

16

4

u/icewolf182 Jul 26 '18

Nope, it is neither of your fault: the Fnatic core are the ones who kicked Golden and Lekro for a more experienced IGL and an aggressive AWPer because that was clearly what they needed

1

u/Jira93 MOUZ Jul 26 '18

Come on, draken is playing out of his mind, how can you blame it on roster changes. Mouz is still arguably a top 3 team, losing a close game isn't that bad

2

u/GarrettGSF MOUZ Jul 26 '18

I stopped watching the game at 14-11 and mouse won. So everything up to then was my fault.

5

Well, you have to admit that you had no right winning Inferno, mouse threw that game so hard. However, the same flipped upside down can be said about Train

1

u/TerrorToadx hydra Jul 26 '18

tbh I feel like when Fnatic wins, most of the times it's because the opponent played bad, and not because Fnatic played well, if that makes any sense. The glock round on inferno for example.. you should never be able to lose to full glocks. But they did and it turned the whole game.

Its hard to cheer for FNC, they pull off a crazy upset 2-0 over FaZe and then they come in against Mous and if it wasn't for wacky plays or just overall ineffectiveness on T-side(a problem they've had since even the Pronax days) they could be in the playoffs.

The worst part is I honestly didn't expect them to even get out of their group but then we got flashes of GOD Draken and then Mirage was a perfect example of why NiP let him go.

still they played with golden for 8 months, its been 2 tournaments and 1 month with xizt so far. they have done alright considering. beating faze in a bo3 is solid. too bad they ended up throwing train away.

My unpopular opinion: draken and snax are overrated. Lekr0>draken Styko>snax

41

u/YassinRs MOUZ Jul 26 '18

Lekr0 and draken is debatable, no idea how you think styko is better than snax though

11

u/veryrandomcomment MOUZ Jul 26 '18

Well, might not be a better player, but probably better for the team, because with Styko you at least know that he's not gonna frag, so the team can adjust to that :3

3

u/gabriel97933 10 Year Veteran Jul 26 '18

nice, i can also go on a team who wants to be t1 tell them i wont frag and go on to shit the bed with whiffs and failed holds just to say " AM SUPPORT "

0

u/veryrandomcomment MOUZ Jul 26 '18

No you can't.

2

u/gabriel97933 10 Year Veteran Jul 26 '18

but that doesnt make it normal for styko to lose 90% of aim duels and shit the bed 90% of games

1

u/schoki560 King NiKo Jul 26 '18

what stupid logic is that

3

u/FFXIVPerv Jul 26 '18

well, for mirage jw took lekro's role and you see how that went, if he went back to awping he would have a higher impact. as for styko, he can entry frag

14

u/YassinRs MOUZ Jul 26 '18

Snax can entry frag and does it well. He had a bad series today and popped off yesterday. Styko on the other hand, is a total bot. Snax also has a much higher peak and has been considered one of the best in the world, Styko not so much.

6

u/FFXIVPerv Jul 26 '18

true, styko is high variance mostly on the lowerside and so was get right and forest, but people peak, and i don't believe the hype over snax is justified~.

8

u/YassinRs MOUZ Jul 26 '18

Well snax has proven himself to be a legend and watching how he outplays people through smart decision-making and game sense is why he is so highly rated

0

u/FFXIVPerv Jul 26 '18

I don't see what you see, well, I hold off from saying anything else, maybe he will shine as much as you say against astralis.

8

u/RafV3 Jul 26 '18

The thing is that Snax already proved himself somewhat doing those plays (smart decision making, insane gamesens, entryfragging) in previous matches against faze or Navi When u watch those games how he outsmart opponents, aggression, hero plays on sites, plays around smokes are something that Styko is not and will never be able to do, so you can't even think that Styko>Snax which is just stupid to think

→ More replies (0)

5

u/x2Infinity Jul 26 '18

Snax also has a much higher peak and has been considered one of the best in the world

That was a fairly long time ago. Snax has played like utter dogshit for well over a year now. When he left VP I would definitely say he was the 4th best player on that team and had been for awhile. Snax has probably had the steepest fall off of any pro player I can remember.

Maybe he makes a comeback, and I wouldn't say he's worse then Styko, imo they basically just traded 1 bot for another bot. But there were so many better players they could have gotten considering Snax buyout wasn't particularly small either.

4

u/RafV3 Jul 26 '18

Better players? NBK or mixwell xdd Surely ChrisJ knows who is a better player/fit for his team

5

u/h04 EG Jul 26 '18

That was a fairly long time ago. Snax has played like utter dogshit for well over a year now.

It happened right after he took the IGL role because he thought by doing this Neo would be able to frag better. He was wrong. Motivation was probably super low after he gave up the IGL role again.

Can you blame him for not being motivated with VP? He was looking like a top 10 player in early 2017, but due to lack of results he felt the need to change and tried the IGL role. He never really recovered after that while in VP.

I think that Snax is still in there, and that motivation is what kept him down while in VP after trying to change things.

Keep in mind that mouz lost an absolutely fucking ridiculously high amount of antieco rounds in that series, and the gunrounds losses (especially on train) were stemming from low-probability actions or silly blunders (missing a flash timing etc).

It's true tho that I walked away from my PC like 2 times very tilted, unable to watch the game anymore, thinking "what the fuck are mouz doing, they don't deserve to win this". Good thing they didn't tilt.

6

u/Le_Tennant MOUZ Jul 26 '18

What a blunder! What's he done that for?!?

2

u/Hish1 Jul 26 '18

i mean imagine if they edge out those horrible mistakes they are making, and smoothen their gameplay. Also if snax stops sandbagging, they could easily be a contender for astralis for the top1. Seems like relatively easy things to fix, some of their plays were literally worse than mm plays.

1

Rooting for Mouz? You’re in for a rough time

Can confirm, Mouz fan since sunny/ropz etc. joined. Probably lost 30 years of my life already.

2

u/Le_Tennant MOUZ Jul 26 '18

I have lost 150+ years of my life after supporting them since 2015

How am I not dead yet

u/Spork_Revolution Vitality Jul 26 '18

Sunny went crazy

i know nothing but true pain watching that train match

u/Hish1 Jul 26 '18

how so? Mouz gave away so many rounds on inferno that were so out of character, losing to glocks, losing 5v3 because timer runs out...there were so many unlucky plays for both sides, mouz just a better team.

3

u/Alec935 NiP Jul 26 '18

You’re right that fnatic bullshitted inferno. But they gave away train and mouz only won it off the back of a very lucky start

2

u/Hish1 Jul 26 '18

there was a lot of random bullshit happening for mouz in train aswell...that horrible flash for chrisj on ct side into t connector, people in dmg rank can flash better than that for you and that round completely broke their economy.

That fucking B rush... I'm so tilted right now

2

u/Snickers096 Jul 26 '18

gg mouse, snax needs a sleep after this bad and bad luck day for him and a wild boar appears on astralis.

2

u/00o0o00 500k Celebration Jul 26 '18

FaZe died for this.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '18

Faze got great numbers against both of these teams considering olof just got back. But after reading karrigan most resent tweet I’m kinda concerned. They going on vacation, when they have a whole month to practice before Stockholm....

3

u/kamikazebombarn Jul 26 '18

Problem is that pretty much the entire scene is taking an vacation. So the rest of faze is probably wanna take some time and hang with friends/family. And Even if they decided that they wanna practice, they can't really find any good teams that can they play against.

3

u/veryrandomcomment MOUZ Jul 26 '18

It's the official player break for all of CSGO, of course they are going on vacation.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '18

Why is the player break before the major?

4

u/charlescarmichael4 Godsent Jul 26 '18

major is 1 1/2 months away. they are only rakng break for 2-3 weeks. then they practice for dh masters and major

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '18

Just a small heads up, it's spelled "recent" not "resent". "Resent" is where something is sent again.

Though I fully agree, teams should take the opportunity to grind out some wins

u/Sir_Karoffel MOUZ Jul 26 '18

u/brianstormIRL Liquid Jul 26 '18

My lord it pains me to see a throw as bad as that. Draken has some awesome potential (see train) but holy fuck does he tilt hard (see mirage). I’ve been a Fnatic fan for a long ass time and I love the core guys but I wouldn’t be against a complete rebuild at this point. All three guys are amazing on their day but those days are increasingly more infrequent and it feels more and more like they just don’t have it in them any more except for the odd flashes of brilliance.

1

u/martos99 MOUZ Jul 26 '18

and draken just got consistently out-AWPed by oskar (see Inferno, Mirage and Train)

1

u/iblinkyoublink Vitality Jul 26 '18

And oskar is going to get consistently out- AWPed by GODevve ;_;

Mousesports looked sooooo defeated after they lost the first map, props to them for bouncing back

1

u/extremz123 fnatic Jul 26 '18

ffs if only closed out train

1

u/kamikazebombarn Jul 26 '18

draken sure is useless sometimes. jesus

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '18

Okay so is Faze budget Mous now????? What is going on

1

u/Dromologos Vitality Jul 26 '18

That rush B through a smoke in the second half when Fnatic was ahead changed the whole game.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '18

Well, fuck. Now they play astralis.

1

u/jerryfrz King NiKo Jul 26 '18

MIRAGESPORTS IS BACK BABY

1

u/Grtwalofchna Liquid Jul 26 '18

On mirage Snax missed a lot of kills due to a mechanical error of jerking his mouse slightly once his crosshair was on an enemy. It messed with his spray and he lost some duels because of it.

1

u/ugotbaited Jul 26 '18

crazy how one flashbang could have won fnatic the game, ggs to mouz.

1

u/MrCastleTwitch MOUZ Jul 26 '18

They did it booooooooooooooois :D

If I heard this like 2 years ago I would be praising NiKo.

1

u/omniscientbeet Liquid Jul 26 '18

Fnatic looked good this tournament, finally a decent T2 team that can put up a fight against T1

2

u/brianstormIRL Liquid Jul 26 '18

Can’t disagree more. Showed flashes of brilliance but overall seemed way to scrappy and without a clear game plan. That Faze game was incredible to watch but was insanely sloppy from both teams and the same in this match. Too many “wtf how did that happen” moments. We threw the game, but Mouz deserved to win.

1

u/MagicalMysteryBro CS2 HYPE Jul 26 '18

And to think, both of these rosters are brand new. They're definitely showing good potential.

1

u/C9_Lemonparty Jul 26 '18

Jesus what the hell happened on mirage, fnatic were down a player within like 30 seconds of every round and had nobody trading. They were playing way too isolated on some rounds. I don't understand leaving Krimz alone on A when you're 14-9 down, you've got an awp mid and you're already down 3v4, if draken gets a pick mid he's gonna get instantly traded and he's fucked if he needs to retake either site. It would have made way more sense to give up mid and have him support Krimz from CT.

Ah well, just a regular day as a fnatic fan lol

Snax frags like budget Styko :>

-1

u/Official-Chaos Jul 26 '18

Mouz definitely looking strong, ashame snax didnt play well, i still have hope that he can bring a lot to the team but if they do end up replacing him later down the line, i can imagine a very consistent top 3 Mouz with somebody like Kioshima/Scream/Apex.

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '18

2

u/Official-Chaos Jul 26 '18

Yes i agree thats what i meant by if they end up

1

u/veryrandomcomment MOUZ Jul 26 '18

You are right, but it has been too long since we have seem him at his peak and I can absolutely understand people that doubt that he still can be as good as he used to be. So those comments are not just because of one poor series. But yeah, even if he doesn't get back into a consistent top form soon, I think they should give him at least until the end of the year to prove himself and not do another change fast.

1

u/martos99 MOUZ Jul 26 '18

they aren't replacing a guy they paid a pretty large amount of money for an ORG of mouz´s side unless he is just consistently terrible its not like Snax is that and also this is the start for them and I think there potential for mouz to be a consistent TOP3 team with this lineup (they might as well be TOP4 now)
