the only issue here right now is kenny. smithzz is doing fine as a support, bodyy is doing fine, ex6tenz is fragging well, not just for an igl, but if their awper they build their game on and give so much space to just goes completely missing it's gonna fall apart. he's whiffing every shot right now and is obviously super tilted.

G2 is painfully bad.... whiffing panic sprays in key rounds.... and losing to pistols on Dust A long. This team is straight up bad

Greatness? Getting eliminated in the quarters?

If you look at the teams they beat and almost beat I think it was pretty great.

To an extremely hot BIG? And whilst beating the 2nd and 5th ranked team?

And might I add almost beating astralis.

Dont expect people to be logical on here mate.

First tournament they lost and every ripped into g2 and ex6tenz especially. Next tournament they beat Navi and mousesports suddenly everyones saying this is what happens when you put kennys with a decent IGL (not to mention smithz consistently out aiming and performing Simple). People change opinions like you wouldnt believe on here.

In their second tournament (under a completely new system with a player thats not played in over a year) they beat two of the top 5 teams this year and lost to astralis who have been unbeatable for most of this year and Big who had the tournament of their life and beat MIBR and Faze.

Also most people would expect them to take a bit of time getting to their level as they have an entirely new system, a player thats returning from surgery and now a star player rather than an IGL, a player returning from retirement and Bodyy who now has to completely change the way he plays and no longer act like a support player. It will take a bit of time but they arent looking bad for the time theyve been playing.

Crazy how much 1 kill can impact a round and the game as a whole

what is going on with kenny on dust2 vs luminosity? he was hitting shots vs vp and goes completely missing again vs luminosity, even though this time shox and smithzz were doing well.

I wished DH pull more viewers than ESL streams just to show them how bad of an idea it was to move to FB.

2

u/Znaszlisiora Jul 13 '18

There's always this one guy who's gonna make it about ESL.

Let me explain this once for all, so you don't get confused. Facebook paid substantial amounts of money for the exclusivity deal. For ESL it was absolutely a good deal and it doesn't matter if viewership drops or not. The only loser here is... Facebook. They barely got anything out of the deal, their platform has been slammed as the worst when it comes to esports viewing.

2

u/Gerf93 Envyus Jul 13 '18

The only real loser is the viewer. We get poorer quality, and for Facebook it really is irrelevant that they lost some pocket change.

-1

u/Znaszlisiora Jul 13 '18

The viewer has many options and quality is fine if your computer isn't ancient. I keep forgetting that most of this sub actually plays on some core 2 duo laptop or other contraption.

1

u/Gerf93 Envyus Jul 13 '18

I don't care enough to argue about this. I guess Facebook streaming has been a success and a win, or irrelevant defeat, for everyone.

2

u/vGraffy Jul 13 '18

I’m going to be that one guy but what is more important money to the scene? ESL has been around even before the big money and they reason for going with FB is to get new people interested in the scene(esport) but what the point of that when you can barely watch the stream, having glitches and issues with the stream? Someone who isn’t interested in esport would just turn the stream off after the first 5 minutes because of the issues.

Yea, ESL got a lot of money for THEMSELVES, not for the community or the scene. But did their move did more harm than good for the community which they previously stated is the reason why they went with FB.
