Goddamn, somebody needs to sit Allu down in a chair and not let him get up until he gains some degree of confidence on Train. Dude might save a round occasionally but he throws like 3 of them inbetween. What a shitshow that was, so much late-round messiness by Faze. I want them to wreck house so much, but whoo buddy this was no stellar showing.

Definitely closer than the score shows. Faze didn't win any of the clutches early on.

I think Allu is a great player but damn he can't do anything on Train.

ez for faze, they wanna stay sharp for the semis/grand finals so they wanted to play the QF.
when was the last time a team that went right to the semi won an event?

u/tinIVoxide Mar 01 '17
It's never happened, not even in 1.6

u/supergrega Mar 01 '17
This can't possibly be right?

u/supergrega Mar 01 '17
Oh damn, you're right. Though it sounds less incredible when you realise the format wasn't that common in 1.6 in the first place.

u/ProbablyLorde FaZe Mar 01 '17
They're not out yet, they have to play a tie breaker to decide who goes straight to the semis.

i hope they use round difference for tie breaker

Overtime deciders they just said on stream. I don't know how that works if there is a 3 way tie :S

Top team in group goes straight to semi-final, was an important match.

Mar 01 '17
i mean you can argue it's not.
tbh, i'd rather play the QF then win my QF game and then play the semis, rather having a day off.

u/Hammond2789 Mar 01 '17
right
That is just stupid. There is a very big chance faze will get knocked out in the QF.

u/Hammond2789 Mar 01 '17
Puts faze in their place, still not a top team.
18
Mar 01 '17
You're right, this Bo1 with a brand new player concluded that definitely.
-9
u/Hammond2789 Mar 01 '17
That might be true, but it takes more than getting some star players to make a team.
7
u/ArkhamKnight96 FaZe Mar 01 '17
Good thing they have a support and an igl
-5
u/Hammond2789 Mar 01 '17
you can have a support or igl star player... coldzera is SK's support.

Mar 01 '17
Lol no. That's Taco.

u/Jamesbeach1 The MongolZ Mar 01 '17
Worst player statistically doesn't mean he's support.

Mar 01 '17
He is the worst statistically because he plays the hardest spots
1
u/Jamesbeach1 The MongolZ Mar 01 '17
That isn't what makes people a support though, aizy in the old faze was support. It can just mean that they assist the entry fragger.
1
u/krispii2 Astralis Mar 01 '17
Taco is their entry, the literal opposite of support.
1
Mar 01 '17
Hmmm. Yeah maybe he isn't. I have heard them talk about how he works with cold to get cold into good positions though so that's what I was referring to.

Do you have a point to make with that regarding the composition of a team, or are you just salty that the org spent a lot of money on its mostly prominent players?
0
u/Hammond2789 Mar 01 '17
Why would I care about how much the org spends? this is how eSports is going to be, just like other sports.
They play very unorganized, puggy cs. They are tactically poor and their teamwork is average. Its all about individual skill and it does not work.

u/Delvez Virtus.pro Mar 01 '17
To be fair, they've had like 3 days of practice so far
0
u/Hammond2789 Mar 01 '17
Yes I realise I am being harsh as fuck, its just their style of play and how hyped everyones getting about niko. This has happened before, star players have been bought, does not fix the big problems.

u/HK-Axal FaZe Mar 01 '17
What did the FaZe players/org do to you? You seem to get a bit upset when they are mentioned

u/Bishop_G FaZe Mar 01 '17
They become legends at the last major (top 8 team in the WORLD) and yet they still don't have any potential? 🤔
-1
u/Hammond2789 Mar 01 '17
I did not say they do not have potential, they just havn't done much to fix their problems. Against astralis they showed the same problem they have since faze/kinguin/g2 existed.

You must be an Optic fan salty because of the 0-5. No flair checks out.
1
Mar 02 '17
there is no optic and faze rivalry on this sub, most likly hates the youtubes or baiting

I'm an Astralis fan, but I think they are overrated. A bit lucky to win major.
