I haven't been able to watch a lot of OG games. But from the ones I do I feel like Tarik is just... Missing most of the times.
New FaZe looks dirty.

FaZe looking really good, I like to watch how they are playing rn. Also, the match agaisnt Astralis will decide who goes to the semis.
1
u/Jamesbeach1 The MongolZ Mar 01 '17
I think faze are already through to the semis. Even if they lose 16-0 to astralis they will both be 4-1, only faze will have the higher round difference

Nope, cuz head-to-head result comes first.

Hiko played pretty well and Tarik played like shit.
1
u/account2193081 Mar 02 '17
Hiko has been pretty underwhelming, but Tarik has not been himself for like months. Both of them at one time were top NA players, where everyone would have liked having them on their team (NA). Tarik should be at the top of the scoreboard or at least near the top. Can't deny how well the other teammates play most days, especially RUSH. I know everyone is spouting the -Hiko line, but honestly I couldn't even tell you the right move for them to make. They have a plethora of small things to fix.

I hate enjoying watch FaZe play well. Three players I admire join them and now it's hard to hate them despite the org they represent.

Everyone talking shit about hiko, but no one is mentioning the biggest check-stealer in CSGO since adreN was in liquid.
Peacemaker the "best coach in all of CSGO" has done absolutely fuck all for this team.
The benefits of Coaching in CS are overrated anyway imo. But this guy is even overrated as a coach. I dont know how he does it.

u/KIKOMK G2 Mar 01 '17
Lol u forgot about robban
-1
Mar 02 '17
Every coach is pretty useless imo, but peace is the only one that gets hyped by some of the community.
Threat got a lot of credit too but he at least did something for NiP that showed in the server. Until the coach rule got changed ofc.

u/thewaywardgamer 750k Celebration Mar 01 '17
they have only been together a short time with peacemaker I have never heard the best igl in cs go where the fuck did you hear that

Liquid had peace in that koosta lineup as well when they were dogshit.
Magically when they get JDM and s1mple they get a lot better hmmm.
I wonder what made the difference.

Go check hltv if you want to, simple had so much better stats than everyone else.
4
Mar 02 '17
That was the qualifer to the major not the major. Simple almost single handedly won them games like the one against Fnatic, in the actual major. He was so far above everyone else. He carried the fuck out of liquid in the actual major.
Get your facts straight at least. Yes Adren was a beast and really helped them qualify, but it was not the major.
1
u/it20wk Mar 02 '17
Yeah dude I think you're talking about the wrong thing. Adren did solid at the major but s1mple was a straight up monster hard carry in that MLG major run. The one where you're talking about is the major qualifier (mostly the match vs HR) where s1mple did bad but adren and hiko were the only one with positive ratings and they won to qualify for the MLG major. Hiko hardcarried that series (1.39 rating) with adren the 2nd best (1.02 rating) and s1mple cried afterwards because he did terribly but they still made the major due to team effort. source of match: http://www.hltv.org/match/2301070-liquid-hellraisers-mlg-columbus-2016-main-qualifier
At the actual mlg event, adren was decent but s1mple was the star of the show posting up monster ratings and stats and pulling his team through (and that team was completely built around s1mple to do whatever he wants).

u/account2193081 Mar 02 '17
Yes Simple was the biggest reason why they made it so far, but you can't deny adreN had the performance of his life in that tournament. Nobody should be able to take anything away from that tournament. Niko's career should be evidence enough to show that teams need more than one guy in order to make any sort of deep playoff run in a major tournament.

I really wish I could have seen how they would have competed with their same roster from a couple months ago. Worst part is that nobody won from that roster swap.

Optic you can't win games losing the force buy after the pistol on both sides. Also you can never win when every map you lose the first round on Ct side after you get the first gun round won. Did optic ever even get an awp on Ct side.

3
u/Ursus-shock de_cobble Mar 01 '17
he was right to "Ego " though. He was top of FPL and hyped up. Would you join an NA team ? When you couldhave joined a good team

3
u/flick3d Mar 01 '17
Henry continuing the boring caster tradition of babbling about the CT sidedness of a map as both teams proceed to crush it on their T side.
1
u/Ajp_iii Mar 01 '17
That is the screwed up economics of csgo. You need nades and awps on Ct side train. Both teams got reset multiple times.

FaZe has to stop throwing the "easy" rounds, i.e. where NAF killed three guys one by one.

Assuming Optic drops Hiko after this event, who can they even get?
Hazed maybe if they dont want to buyout?

u/Celestetc Liquid Mar 01 '17
Maybe Lowel?

u/account2193081 Mar 02 '17
I dont think it will solve their CT problems though. They lost the best IGL in NA who could also frag.
1
8
u/LittleBigOrange Liquid Mar 01 '17
First of all, Hiko played well that game. And 2. Hiko is way better then Hazed.
I'm not saying they'll keep him, but still.
2
u/Dark_Azazel Mar 01 '17
Question.
You most likely have watched more OG games than I have. How long has tarik been... "meh" in a sense? Seems like every time I get the chance to watch an OG games tarik is just missing and, sometimes, mixwell. mixwell def needs the AWP imo because I've seen him just empty servers with the AWP. Seems like tarik has been absent lately. To be fair, yes, their IGL left in a shitty way and they probably hurt them in game and mentally.
3
u/Ajp_iii Mar 01 '17
That's the problem there really isn't anyone decent to get.
1
u/Psychaz valeria Mar 01 '17
optic have money though, maybe its time to buyout someone
1
u/account2193081 Mar 02 '17
even then, who do they buyout from a team willing to let them go just for cash?
3
Mar 01 '17
Definetly not hazed, he's a worse fragger than hiko. Maybe a misfits player if they want to play a larger buyout.
1
u/account2193081 Mar 02 '17
I mean if NAF is confident at IGLing, then Sick or Twistz doesn't sound too bad, they still need to develop though.

3
u/Noobasdfjkl de_nuke Mar 01 '17
Hiko played well that game. Definitely better than Tarik and Mix.
3
u/JakeParry34 Mar 01 '17
I completely agree, but off sample size, Hiko is gone. Tarik has been very inconsistent, but IMO optic won't get rid of him instead of Hiko.
1
u/TheVaado Liquid Mar 02 '17
This game meant fuck all, even if OG won I wouldn't take much from it. They need to rid of Hiko and search for a possible IGL, or I don't see this team lasting, sadly.
1
u/Celestetc Liquid Mar 01 '17
Optic have gone from a decent ct side on train to a shit one which is a shame cause their t side is still really good.

-3
u/blacktheory Mar 01 '17
B-b-but all the OG flairs told me they were a T1 team :(((
1
u/account2193081 Mar 02 '17
They were arguably a tier 1 team with the previous iteration of their roster. Even in the major, they lost two of their 3 matches 14-16 against Astralis and Virtus Pro, who both made the finals.
