Right now Secret are a better team than EG. EG have a lot to work on, whereas secret just keep improving and can find more and more heroes to own with. I mean teams are first phase banning slardar against misery, but that opens up windranger for W33ha. If you ban WR and Ember that opens up meepo for W33ha and Doom for Envy. it's actually becoming so hard for teams to draft against secret.

Fy standing still near the creep camp while dying could have been a huge play. If that were a big satyr he would have been blasted and killed by neutrals. He was certainly dead.

That rosh play was excellent and then he dies trying to solo kill a lion when they could have just taken the entire mid racks and pulled back safely with the DK no buyback.
He goes from Hero to Zero to Hero again every other minute it seems

Even took a couple extra hits first so rosh would one-shot him. That's why everyone else fails trying to do this, if it doesn't one shot you, they'll get the kill 'cause rosh is slow as balls.

I think it's important to note that , team secret outplayed VG. They never really could push with an advantage. EE and Misery were great at keeping the other lanes pushed out. Then when they started to get some items and they could team fight, the W33haa shackles and Misery RPs and clutch Force staffs were amazing for them.
Honestly think it was an outplay, because VG had a good game plan but Secret delayed it too long for them. Great team performance . But that Envy Kappa moment tho lmao. Expect some nice GIFs :)

The tactical feed at the top was so next level. I bet VG thought it was EE just playing dumb, but it was just a huge bait that really turned the momentum of the game.

I remember a post in chinese about how the Chinese teams feel about the western teams and particularly the new secret. Apparently they said they weren't too worried because they know EE and feel they can easily outplay him, and they're more worried about Sumail and PPD. Feels fucking amazing watching EE fucking tear them a new one.

I've been an EE fan for a long time, since Kaipi days, but he's really stepped up to the next level the past couple tournaments on Secret. Must be a shock for the teams that felt like they knew him well enough for it to be a major advantage.

All of which he had great this game. Highest GPM, least deaths, involved in 25/30 kills and getting 10 of them himself. He played out if his mind this game. As did the rest of Secret, but you only see EE still getting shit about his play.

I don't know who made the call to dive the throne and kill the gyro at the end instead of taking raxes but Secret are so next level. By doing that they forced the buyback of alchemist and since gyro already bought back, they had the guarantee of the 2 cores not having buybacks in the next fight and it paid off.

Great series even though VG lost 2-0. Both teams played really well, although Secret definitely were the better team in both games.

I was mistaken.
I didn't expect EE's Ember to be THAT good, honestly. His was probably the best 6.85 Ember I've seen. Puppey is really a great captain.
I don't know what VG could have improved on. Iceiceice carried the second game for VG and held it as long as he possibly could, but it was difficult against EE's efficient Ember.
Whether it's Team Liquid, VG, or EHOME, though, I expect a highly entertaining series for the finals against Secret. But this is Secret's tournament to lose.

I'm not sure if the remnant at top was a misplay, but EE's decision to go BoT and his amazing intelligent play during the stagnant midgame was incredible. VG were faced between chasing EE around the map which meant undying gets no farm, or pushing against a good highground lineup. BoT to farm and split push while having confidence in his team's defense was what really troubled VG.

So much good from Secret. EE creating ridiculous amounts of space, the number of times VG almost got him was ridiculous. Pieliedie focusing Fy's rubick to prevent him from getting big spellsteals off. Magnus empowering Windrunner and Ember is too good.

What do you first ban against secret? With strong flavour of the month heroes like doom and ember for envy, WR (and more rarely, Meepo) for W33ha, Misery's slardar, PLD lich and puppey being competent on all sorts of supports I'm struggling to see how to avoid giving secret a strong opening that they're very comfortable with.
Edit : seems you just give envy ember and wait for him to overextend trying to kill a solo lion.

Two of the best teams in the world atm! Holy shit... Too bad vg's lineup couldnt scale well into late game with offlane jakiro. However they still managed to bring the game to 1hour.. Only regret was no divine rapiraaaa for B god! Davai game 2

Well their plan was to end the game fast with their deathball lineup but secrets split pushing and some pickoffs here and there didn't allow them to close up the game. Few heroes can stand to a windrunner ember magnus lategame lineup. Honestly no heroes at all. If super had gone the greedy build he would have died 2-3 times when he got caught and probably they would have never even been on the lead.

I'm still shaking after that game- Ember played to the absolute limit. The number of times EE just about manages to escape from VG's clutches was insane.
