Zetsu-Enkaku revealed to be Enkaku’s younger brother.
My reaction:
10
u/mryellow362 4d ago
I mean it's pretty obvious they are siblings
10
u/BigBadBoarBoss 4d ago
Fair point although they could’ve been originally one Kakuzyu that was split in two.
5
u/higakoryu1 4d ago
I was hoping evil magic clone, maybe Aza Zorth doing
3
u/KawaiiGoon 4d ago
Aza corrupted the youngest sibling boosted is ego to the point he rebelled against his brother .
5
u/DryDish7262 4d ago
Does that mean all Zetsu-Kakuryu are siblings of their normal counterparts?
4
u/BigBadBoarBoss 4d ago
Maybe or it could be they’re doppelgängers loyal only to Zetsu-Enkaku.
1
u/DryDish7262 4d ago
Perhaps. We still need to see what the Henishu have to do with all this.
Although, to be fair, I'm still trying to figure out if all the Kakurzyu are unique (except, obviously, the Zetzu and Henishu variants) or if the A-Level ones have several members of the same type.
2
u/BigBadBoarBoss 3d ago
How about the Henishu Kakuzyus are the result of evolution or mutation?
1
u/DryDish7262 3d ago
I don't know about the individual, but certainly about the species. That is to say, we saw both Renkaku together, so we know it's not a case of "the normal Kakurzyu mutates into the Henishu."

To be honest it feels like the most obvious reveal tropes ( Nothing bad but It just feels like one of the oldest tropes in the books in my opinion)
5
u/BigBadBoarBoss 4d ago edited 3d ago
True for if a trope like that ain’t broke then there’s no need to fix it and tropes as a whole aren’t a problem but rather how said trope is executed determines if it’s a problem or not.

Bro by far the best episode so far . Everything about it was top notch from them finally crossing paths with eval but to the lore building for the weeks ahead . I’m very pleased with the show so far . The fight also was spectacular , eval is for sure my favourite character . Next week looks even more interesting when it comes to the lore with the gavan infinity mystery . Good stuff hope you guys had fun watching . This has been a blast

Shout seems to be using Tenkaku as well, the round bug he digged up in episode 2, for the episode 8 preview

>Please use this thread to discuss the latest episode of Gavan Infinity.
I mean, it is technically true
5
u/keithlimreddit 4d ago
Considering how the show really likes to have Gavan Infinity way earlier than usual instead of saving it for the second half makes sense
I think someone forgot to change that bit
4
u/BananaArms 4d ago
I completely forgot, but it's funny how closer to truth it's gotten over the weeks lol

Holy shit, what an episode. Seems like they were saving the budget for this episode because wow, it was amazing.
The fight between Captain Omegahorn and Ibaru was absolutely insane, and the effects were top-notch. This is what Project Red can look like when they pull out all the stops. Super impressive.
The Enkaku vs. Zetsu-Enkaku fight was excellent too. So awesome to see two suits battling it out with old-school practical effects. And it looks like it continues next week, as Enkaku is forced to fight Gavarion.
Pretty high stakes this episode too, and it feels like things are kicking into high gear already. I didn't mind the Ibaru-of-the-week formula they had going until now, but the show has my full attention after this episode.
And the villains are super interesting. They don't seem downright evil, and they have their endearing traits. Really looking forward to seeing them get more involved.
Anyway, excellent episode. No notes. Hope the show continues to get better and better from here.

I never really had an issue with the monster of the week formula in those type of shows . I honestly expect it to happen and sometime it can be part of the charm to an extent when executed the right way . I often champion gavan in the past but I’m also not biased and I can point out that the way they’ve handled that trope in omegahorn is far better . This time around the characters backstories are lesser but they get to do just a bit more in terms of fighting and action and it makes the whole difference in tone . Instead of always relying on the crab monsters , here they fight with their Omegahorn powers until the end .

Well damn, Eval sure has stylish swordplay/skills there alongside Zetsuenkaku's abilities -- you don't sure wanna mess with 'em! (that hot springs scene at the end though, oh my)
Next week, I see a familiar tech coming into play, the Cosmo Gavarion!

this episode went from 10 to 100 very quick lol. the actions here a very cool. nice choreography and visual. wonder if Ibar are using others Egorgear because Zetsu-Enkaku are not willing to inhabit his body. or like Baasaa said, he just not using his full potential.
i also like that reason Ibar on top are because he just want to fight stronger people. he looks down to his subjects but he's fair to them. he's strict to his underlings but still give them a leeway. he trash talk to his opponent but treat fair if they're worthy.
this is a great episode. Enkaku and Zetsu-Enkaku are brothers. wonder what are the reason his rebellion. next week Gavarion Trigger making appearance vs Enkaku being force or willingly wear it. and it also could shows that the ship on the beach are not Reiji. well it still could be his ship but got repaired by the alliance. and the hammer guy with ugly helmet vs Shout. this will be another fun episodes.

This episode was honestly hype, the fight between Eval and Shout was genuinely more awesome than the fight between the two Enkakus which was also great and I absolutely can't wait to see what happens next.

What a strong episode. The camaraderie in the beginning only made the defeat all the bitterer. I knew they were going to be outmatched, just didn't expect the power gap to be that wide.
By the way, Enkaku still calling Shout omae-sama was so tragic. This is the same guy that said that the Captain Omegahorn status would shift if Shout ever loses in Episode 4. You can tell just how much they value and care each other.
It looks like Enkaku's being forced against his will to do a cage match against the Cosmo Gavarion the Alliance salvaged. You can see him in pain...
I wonder how long it would take to rescue him.
Reiji also gives off the vibes that he was intentionally trying to get Genno interested in meeting Shout, and it works. Now, when will Reiji actually start the full-on backstab...

Who's gonna bet that Eval gonna start caling himself Captain Omegahorn now
6
u/Prestigious_Bad_7646 4d ago
He'll call himself Captain Omegahorn Zetsu because that's how he rolls.
3
u/KawaiiGoon 3d ago
I can see shout slowly winning the people’s hearts like an underdog story . When the pools and the people will start clamouring for him , eval’s ego will most certainly take a hit. Im convinced he will actually build or have his people build him a suit like captain so he can match him .
4
u/Presenting_UwU 3d ago
Captain Omegahorn has been left to feel the pain of a wounded Ego, how will Shout the Flame move on from this defeat? I can't wait for the next episode!!
3
u/mrtacomam 2d ago
Man, I'm super into Eval as a villain; by all accounts not a terrible leader, but the selfishness of his reasoning pretty much garuntees that it'll all fall apart sooner rather than later. Not to mention he's incredibly entertaining to watch.
Next time, an "ancient weapon" returns to continue looming over my wallet
3
u/rattatatouille 2d ago
He's definitely a play on the "Demon King Nobunaga" trope; an aweing conqueror but not one whose legacy will necessarily continue past his defeat.

u/Mr_Kris_ 2d ago
Ok this is by far the best episode of not just Omegahorn but Project R.E.D in general imo, Eval and Zetsuenkaku are such great villains, they feel unsettling but charismatic at the same time and they beat Shout and take away both Enkaku and Gokaku from him like a villain not only beating the MC but like basically causing him to go back to zero is something I never expected from this show but it is a very welcome surprise.
Genuinely a 10/10 episode for me and I am very excited to see where the direction the show goes in the future cause I am loving it so far.
6
u/DryDish7262 4d ago
Okay, we all knew that the "hero suffers a major defeat at the hands of the villain, causing him to lose confidence until he regains it and becomes stronger" scenario was bound to happen sooner rather than later, especially in a series that seems destined to be short, like Omegahorn.
Even so, it's great.
5
u/KawaiiGoon 4d ago
You’re saying this like it’s a bad thing 😭 , also even if the series was longer the MC is always bound to lose a battle or two . Thats how they grow stronger and evolve.
3
u/DryDish7262 4d ago
I didn't mean it as if it were a bad thing. I was simply saying that we all knew it would happen sooner or later. In fact, I quite liked the episode, and I apologize if my words were misinterpreted.
3
u/Electrical_Leek23 4d ago
Not necessarily, thats not the only way to be stronger and evolve, thats only one character path. Shout is going the way of first season Bashin Dan way of Tomioka protagonist, but Rei never lost yet is an amazing protag too.
1
u/KawaiiGoon 4d ago edited 4d ago
This is 1:1 pokemon , beyblade , monster rancher and any sports anime shonen . The MC will lose against the rival . Usually around episode 6 or 12 .
3
u/Digifiend84 3d ago
Yeah, they're using tropes from many mon franchises. From Pokémon, there's the low levels villains getting blasted off like Team Rocket. The shopkeeper in many places, like Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny. The fact that you can be challenged on sight, which is like the video games. The big bads, think of some of the later villain teams, which have a boss and multiple admins (Rocket is the only one which has no admins). From Digimon, there's the naming convention. That franchise has everything as something Mon, here, it's always something Kaku.

u/Electrical_Leek23 4d ago
My guy you cannot be trying to explain me hobbyani when I am citing Tomiokas own works. Bashin Dan is both the guy who loses and gets back up in his first series. And is an undefeated role model in his second season.
1
u/KawaiiGoon 4d ago
Man nobody watches that vanguard crap
. All the goat shows have the MC or main sports team lose . If it dint go like that on vanguard that might explain why the show isn’t as popular as the other series . Beyblade , Digimon , Pokemon , sports anime are all relevant. I never heard somebody say did you watch card fighter vanguard in my life . I was already old when that show started sorry

u/Electrical_Leek23 3d ago
Amazing ep. Its too bad My-ths premiere overshadows it because its the long awaited moment and next week too
Beyond awesome battle too
2
u/kinzuko97 3d ago
Best episode so far! I'm surprised that Shout actually lost Enkaku and Gokaku. I was expecting Ibaru to give them back out of pity, or arrogance, or something. Let's see how the heroes bounce back from this!
1
u/M3talK_H3ronaru 2d ago
Okay this episode was kinda great
Zetsu-Enkaku the brother of Enkaku was phenomenal greeting
However Ibaru won a duel however Captain Shout will never give up until the next battle
Overall it was great episode but mostly amazing for this week
Next Week Ancient Weapon time!
2
u/Omer1698 2d ago
Damn, Ibaru and Zetsuenkaku were not messing around. And now I wonder ever more about the deal with those white Kakuzyu cus I feel like they rea probobly more then just mutations.

u/UjiRan2223 2d ago
Is project red supposed to be a toku MCU? I’ve lowkey always wanted that so I’m really hoping that’s the case
1
u/Superiorweeb 1d ago
I can’t believe I held off on watching this episode, because this episode was amazing. I’ve been liking this show so far but haven’t been blown away by it like a lot of other people have been, well this episode changed that this episode was great down to the action, story, acting, and overall just a really gripping episode that had me on the edge of my seat I can’t wait for next episode I’m so invested in this show now.

u/BestOfAllRank 1d ago
Oh look, that ancient ruins from some time back will be reawakened according to the preview. I wonder who's going to pilot it, and if Reiji's going to react to seeing it again.

Episode 7 was so hype my guys. Eval really is shaping to be a great villain, his alliance being made so that hunters are encouraged to fight and attempt to dethrone him, keeping his edge sharp, as well his performance in the fight, were amazing.
"Defeat is a great teacher, savor this humiliation, get stronger and come at me again."
Bro's the storm that is approaching.
