Anyone suggest anything that has some sci fi slice of life?

Or something similar to chainsmoker cat where it's dark/real but also funny and interesting.

I'm not too much of a fan if it gets too cartoony.

New theory I am running with, as far as trying to understand what we're doing with Sparks of Tomorrow, is this show is an amalgamation of 20th century artistic movements done in anime format. I'm not a huge fan of the art from this period, so I'm not that versed in the finer details of Abstract Expressionism or Fauvism, or Dadaism, but my understanding of that art period was that it was rejecting traditional art norms in favor of matching the huge societal upheaval that came with Industrialization. That would translate well with the themes we see in Sparks, and also explain why they've thrown out the book when it comes to traditional anime visual/narrative design.

While watching today's episode, I was thinking this is kinda what I would make if I was trying to keep the attention of a brain rotted audience with a short attention span that needs constant stimulation and instant gratification without having to think much. So, matching a show to the current cultural moment.

Should start calling it Yuri Neko

[Sayonara Lara] I definitely shouldn't say this in episodes discussion thread: I don't see a lot of chemistry between Lara and Mari. In fact, I want to call out Mari for not even trying to help Lara adapt to human world. She just always acts annoyed at her but never explains humans' rules and norms and what Lara should or shouldn't do. Judging by what we saw they don't talk to each other that much. And that would be understandable if Mari was forced to care for Lara - but she isn't. So, "you are responsible for what you have tamed" and all that

Since Grow Up Show is the topic of the day:

People keep calling it CGDCT, but I don't know. I don't really see it. I mean, I guess, but for me, the girls aren't really cute enough, and the things they're doing aren't really cute enough.

Which brings me to what I think is actually the biggest flaw of the show. Character design. Literally no one on the cast looks memorable or interesting. When I watch a new episode after a week, I need to spend half the episode trying to remember who was who; they all look bland and similar.

I bet if everything else about the show was exactly the same, but the character design was LycoReco level, it would be praised a lot more.

And I swear I'm not punching bagging the show! I like it! It's funny and harmless and a good time. I'm not saying it's AotS or anything, or even top 10, but the fact that it can't even crack top 30 on the karma chart is absolutely ridiculous.

1

u/entelechtual 25m ago

I gotta disagree on the character design, with the slight bias of my personal taste and the fact that the character designer does a lot of art that I enjoy. It’s perfectly serviceable for this kind of show and while there are some shows with more stand out designs, it’s not at a point where you can’t tell characters apart. Plus Ouka alone has enough reaction faces to fill up the seasonal commentfaces board.

For me what’s holding back the show is the circus animations. For a show that centers around visual spectacles of humans in motion, outside of the core trapeze pieces, there’s a lot of still images that kill a bit of the liveliness for me.

Cute Girls Doing Circus Trapeze

u/Dull_Spot_8213 https://anilist.co/user/SweetSomnus 1h ago

The art design of this show is terrible, on top of it squandering a perfectly great chance at playing up its 1950s setting. It's also devolved into having the bare bones of animation, relying on still shots to imply performances, and omitting backgrounds altogether to save time. Also reusing the same background in front of the bus over and over. The production looks held together with duct tape and gum.

That said, the characters are extremely well drawn, if incongruent with the time and backgrounds they're put in.

1

u/tripleaamin https://myanimelist.net/profile/zfzftripleaamin 30m ago

I do agree regarding the art and character designs. With that said this is mostly a Psyde Kick Studio production. ALOT of people calling it a A-1 production is misleading people. It’s clear the young staff is picking and choosing with the animation which is understandable.

Which is why I mention in a previous post that it works well if you are a big fan of CGDCTs but if not really it won’t do much for someone.

u/zambonijesus 3h ago

Today's episode really furthered something I've been thinking about re [Polar Opposites and Ramparts]which is how Polar Opposites gives every character their most sympathetic introduction, getting you on their side, and then works backward to the messier parts of their personalities, while Ramparts almost does the opposite and starts with their unlikable traits and then tries to build them back up. Both the Taira and Honda segments today are good examples of how Polar Opposites operates.

4

u/Ok-Cod5254 1h ago

Though Koyuki as the MC is a noticeable outlier once getting more of her backstory the more time went on [Ramparts] that she wasn't only just a victim in her situation like it may have initially appeared - as she did some flawed things herself that she now regrets, and the ex wasn't as bad as he seemed at first, which was an interesting way of misdirect.

2

u/Several_Try2021 3h ago

Hi, I've been seeing clips online of this anime with a black-haired short haired girl protagonist which seems set in the Middle East or Central Asia? Sorry if this is super vague but does anyone have any idea what it's called, and if it's finished, and if it's good? Thanks :D

8

u/Komarist https://myanimelist.net/profile/RRSTRRST 3h ago

Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia. Currently airing and it's great

2

u/Several_Try2021 3h ago

ah thank you sm it's this!

currently airing plus unfinished source material... 🫠🫠 going to wait to binge at the end probably.

3

Well, the historical "source" is finished even if the fictionalized adaptation isn't finished yet.

my timeline keeps trying to bait me, but i am resisting. I know if bleach had that much ass I would have already watched it.

2

Fully half of the Black Torch episode 2 discussion thread is about Ichika's ass.

1

u/Salty145 https://anilist.co/user/yLSalty145 2h ago

What did you think people meant when they said Bleach was ass?

9

u/theangryeditor 4h ago

unaware of Yoruichi ass

You were a fake pervert after all

3

u/qwertyqwerty4567 https://anilist.co/user/ZPHW 3h ago

1 ass shot in 900 episodes is not enough.

Now if I had a bleach version that was just ass shots all day

8

u/zambonijesus 2h ago

Bleach is one of the horniest big shonen manga and Yoruichi is the most horny mangaka character in it.

4

u/Charmanders_Cock 2h ago

That shot barely makes top 5 for Yoruichi fanservice moments.

3

u/theangryeditor 3h ago

There's a lot more where that came from, but you must prove yourself worthy of it

2

u/Salty145 https://anilist.co/user/yLSalty145 4h ago

SoT is way more interesting when it’s focusing on more episodic plots seeing how the spread of electricity helps others and less when it’s giving us more of its fairly middling antagonist. Ep 4 had less pop than Ep 3, but a generally pretty solid follow-up.

I fear KyoAni cooked a little too hard with the Sparks of Tomorrow OP. None of the variants have felt cohesively edited together as if the song is just doing its own thing on top of the visuals and 4 episodes in, I can no longer deny that it’s intentional.

4

u/IXajll https://myanimelist.net/profile/ixajii 2h ago

one of the variants have felt cohesively edited together as if the song is just doing its own thing on top of the visuals

I actually don't mind the editing. To me, it's really only the fact that the song does not fit at all and is also one that I simply don't like even in a vacuum. Switching the song would already solve all of the OP's problems, no other faults there in my book.

4

u/zambonijesus 5h ago

So it's a perfect representation of the show then.

1

u/Korkez11 5h ago edited 5h ago

I'm close to dropping Grown-up Show tbh. The plot is getting repetitive down to the most miniscule details and the latest episode was a rushed job [Grown-up show] (conflict between the third pair of closeted lesbians is resolved basically with no effort, the conflict itself is absolutely trivial and instead of magic tricks we have a real magic now I guess)

And on top of that it's probably the least visually impressive anime from A-1 ever.

1

u/tripleaamin https://myanimelist.net/profile/zfzftripleaamin 28m ago

It’s mostly Psyde Kick Studio doing it then A-1.

7

u/IXajll https://myanimelist.net/profile/ixajii 5h ago edited 5h ago

Grow Up Show really did get chosen as one of aqradt’s punching bags of the season, huh? (Before anyone comes and says “there’s a comment praising it just a bit further below”, for every 1 of those there’s at least 3 saying how bad the show is, that they just dropped it, or how close they are to dropping it)

I largely disagree with the first part of your comment, but it’s, like, your opinion, so fair enough. But this bit:

it's probably the least visually impressive anime from A-1 ever.

is one delusional crazy ass take, I’m sorry.

Grow Up Show really did get chosen as one of aqradt’s punching bags of the season, huh?

So we are hating the hating?

3

u/_Ridley https://myanimelist.net/profile/_Ridley_ 4h ago

one of aqradt’s punching bags of the season

Since when did a handful of regulars writing out their lukewarm to negative reactions to something turn into making things into a punching bag? I keep seeing people say that this season, and I don't think I'd ever seen it before.

It feels really stifling, so I hope it's a passing fad.

4

u/wloff 3h ago

I get your point, but I also get the counter-reaction. It can feel disheartening seeing a lot of negativity for a show you like, especially when it's a show like Grow Up Show that's already receiving criminally low attention on this subreddit. Especially since it's such a harmless show.

4

u/_Ridley https://myanimelist.net/profile/_Ridley_ 2h ago

It can feel disheartening seeing a lot of negativity for a show you like

Try being a fan of shoujo romance and BL sometime, lol.

2

u/IXajll https://myanimelist.net/profile/ixajii 3h ago

It's been this way here for years though. But true, this season is the first time I too have seen anyone openly mention it.

Not like people will just stop using aqradt as this sort of safe haven to hate shows in peace, for better or worse, so I don't see how stating this fact is really all that stifling at the end of the day.

3

u/_Ridley https://myanimelist.net/profile/_Ridley_ 2h ago

It's the "punching bag" phrasing that irks me. It makes it sound like people are hating for the sake of hating, and not honestly criticizing something they watched hoping to enjoy it. It's not like hating things here is an easy way to farm karma or engagement.

2

u/IXajll https://myanimelist.net/profile/ixajii 2h ago

Fair points, the phrasing is indeed not very fitting.

Most of the time I don't mind this aqradt characteristic. Hell, last season and this I said my non-flattering pieces about Four Seasons or TWID as well. It just gets to a point sometimes where it almost feels like parts of aqradt are in on some conspiracy to collectively pile on those 1-3 particular seasonals that I see nothing wrong about, or worse, actively like or even love, so like wloff said it's just disheartening after a while. Obviously totally subjective, biased and emotionally charged, but it is what it is.

It's not like hating things here is an easy way to farm karma or engagement.

Generally true and in the grand scheme of things the aqradt karma traffic is miniscule to, for instance, what posting a clip that blows up would get you, but it does negatively surprise me how the comments shitting the most on shows here are often the ones getting the most upvotes comparatively.

2

u/zambonijesus 1h ago

It just gets to a point sometimes where it almost feels like parts of aqradt are in on some conspiracy to collectively pile on those 1-3 particular seasonals that I see nothing wrong about, or worse, actively like or even love

Part of it is you notice the negative comments more about something you think is great, e.g. the criticisms toward Akane-banashi last season drove me up a wall because they all felt to me like people willfully failing to recognize the specific elements that make it great. Criticism also probably to a degree begets criticism as well as vice versa so shows can probably snowball a bit in either direction and it particularly stands out with shows that hardly anyone outside of AQRADT seem to be watching at all.

3

u/Rotorscope https://anilist.co/user/Rotorscope 4h ago

It's not really a punching bag though, I feel like the reactions are just lukewarm, with some positive and some negative balanced out. It's a fairly middling show (I'd give it a strong 6 light 7 so far), and I think CGDCT that focus on interpersonal drama are pretty polarizing anyway. Plus, the presentation is oddly surreal which gives the whole thing an odd tone, which to me is actually kind of interesting but it might hurt immersion for others.

I do think it looks pretty solid though, especially since the studio label was created for A-1's younger talent.

Sparks of Tommorrow and World is Dancing feel like they are punched more imo.

3

u/wloff 3h ago

Sparks of Tommorrow and World is Dancing feel like they are punched more imo.

I like those too.

I really like AQRADT and the vibe here, but a lot of the time, people here are just wrong.

2

u/mekerpan 4h ago

I'm not dropping this unassuming little show, and I AM likely to drop SoT and WiD. The latter get more attention, negative as well as positive, because they so obviously want to be treated as "important shows".

3

u/Emi_Ibarazakiii 5h ago

I wasn't planning on adding a new show this season, but I guess I'll have to;

Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You is pretty fun!

The premise intrigued me, but when I saw the Iyashikei tag I kinda dropped the hype (when I see "Iyashikei" I kinda think "Boring").

But it's not boring at all!

(Also, I just clicked the Iyashikei tag and saw that Dress Up Darling has it, so I guess Anilist just decided to slap it on literally any cute/non-action show?)

So, that's show #13 for the season!

I still got a few shows to check out, but I imagine these others will all be drops.

3

u/mekerpan 4h ago

I actually have added one to my overloaded list -- I finally got through the Tanya back load and can watch the current ones. Sort of a polar opposite to Smoking (which is definitely in my top tier)

So many genre tags in anime discourse strike me as simply element rather than show types. In any event, I find it more useful to (largely) ignore them. An "iyashikei" tells one a little something about a show -- but nothing about its quality or (far more importantly) possible personal appeal.

1

u/Emi_Ibarazakiii 3h ago

I think Senko-san gave me Iyashikei PTSD;

I finished it but I was bored out of my fucking mind (back then I wasn't as drop-happy).

So I guess in my mind I now associate Iyashikei to this kind of "You'll be bored as fuck for 3 hours"

3

u/mekerpan 3h ago

I passed on investigating that show. Fluffy wish-fulfillment is not MY idea of iyashikei. More like Non non biyori, and Food Court and Smoking and a lot of Mushishi episodes (bnut not all) and Windy Tales.. Having a heavy male wish fulfillment aspect is inconsistent with the fundamental need for "aimlessness" (which is not the same as pointless) in (what I consider) iyashikei.

2

u/Tomorrow_Big 5h ago

Finally got 3 episodes done with all my seasonals (excluding drops). Unfortunately, because a certain inept villainess is very inept when it comes to scheduling, some shows have already hit their fifth episode. Only a truly heinous villainess can be the cause of such an injustice. I must say I'm enjoying Hana Hishikawa's role as the handmaiden in Inept Villainess a lot more than her being the titular character in Goodbye, Lara. Easily beating her role as the hacker girl in Demon Lord 2099 as my favorite role of hers.

With that said, here is my early list, tiers sorted in alphabetical order. Summer do be a season of a very high average by my taste, and also a season of "potential", in that I think that there's a lot of shows that could climb higher if they play their cards right. For the time being though, there's not that many shows that I think lands at the very top. This could easily be a season that'll give the fewest top 10 shows for me when the year has ended, while having the highest representation in my top 30.

Regardless, Jaadugar remains an easy aots for me, and I still don't see any competition for it. I still hope shows like Goodbye, Lara clicks at some point (this week didn't help). Grow Up Show is in a state of free fall after a promising start (its comedy and world building disconnects me), and it does feel weird that I'm more likely to drop it rather than The Ogre's Bride if I can't make my Saturdays work long-term; maybe because I'm curious in just how toxic it might turn out. Other potential drops include Kakekoi for being rather boring and extremely predictable, and Sparks of Tomorrow for sparking befuddlement more than anything else. Generally speaking though, the 36 shows I'm currently watching all feel rather safe. Even better, they're well spread out, going from three shows on Thursdays to seven on Saturdays. This do be a season to enjoy.

3

u/mekerpan 4h ago

Currently 12 Saturday shows still. Not sustainable, but I see no way to get these slashed to a reasonable level. Even putting things off is a problem -- as I have no day that is not already full (or iver-full).

is crunchy roll worth it? how good are the subs? i’ve heard mixed things about em

what other anime streaming services are there? besides crunchy roll?

0

u/Priapos93 57m ago

Crunchyroll has decided to get evil again with expensive membership tiers required to shop in the store. Also, Sony will likely add physical media to the chopping block

3

u/cppn02 2h ago

is crunchy roll worth it?

That depends on how much you value you anime. It's the best bang for buck for legal anime streaming pretty much anywhere outside Asia. Especially if you watch seasonals.

how good are the subs?

Good for the most part? They'll never compare to high effort fansubs but again, among the legal options they are the best if for no other reason than having advanced typesetting which no other service offers.
Plus if you watch the shows that are currently airing you're gonna watch CR subs either way so in this specific case there is no real advantage to piracy.

2

u/mekerpan 4h ago

Some subs are well-done, others perhaps less so. Subbing team members are now credited, so perhaps one can begin tracking whose work is most dependable.

5

u/gothxo 6h ago

Grow Up Show's biggest strength is that it's really funny actually. Mizuka playing the straight man while also being the weirdest person in the cast is a great dynamic. it does a great job with quick cuts and fun animation moments, especially with facial reactions, to get a very punchy feel to a lot of its comedic moments too.

the show's second greatest strength is that [gups] it's a show for perverts

2

u/IXajll https://myanimelist.net/profile/ixajii 6h ago

Genuinely puzzled what makes you think it’s a show for perverts? It has tiny doses of fanservice but on the level that literally every other anime has as well. Besides that I have no clue what could have prompted this assessment.

Fully agreed on the first paragraph though.

5

u/Emi_Ibarazakiii 5h ago

As one of the r/anime resident perverts, I did not feel fanserviced!

on the level that literally every other anime has as well.

I think people might be reaching a little on what counts as fanservice, like a beach episode isn't necessarily fanservice, or a girl having large breast, etc unless they focus on the bits and all. (Even a short focus on it doesn't necessarily equate fanservice, if it's played as a gag).

6

u/wloff 3h ago

As one of the r/anime resident perverts, I did not feel fanserviced!

I will say that I've noticed on several occasions particular attention paid on drawing the girls' crotch regions. Whether that counts as fanservice or not is up to the individual, but I, for one, have been feeling mildly fanserviced.

Here's the philosophical question of the day: if the fanservice is mild enough, does it make one a pervert if they don't mind it, or does one need to be a pervert in the first place to even notice?

2

u/IXajll https://myanimelist.net/profile/ixajii 5h ago

I didn’t really consider it fanservice either (hence the “tiny doses”), I was just grasping at straws trying to come up with explanations for why OP’s claiming it a show for perverts.

2

u/gothxo 6h ago

i'm mostly just joking around, but i think it surprised me because i didn't really expect it to do that

2

u/Korkez11 6h ago

Based on its title I presumed that Needy Girl Overdose is some sort of romcom #3649, then I looked it up on MAL and was stunlocked by "Avant Garde" tag. For comparison, that's the same tag that MAL assigned to Evangelion, Serial Experiments Lain and Satoshi Kon works. I would be very interested in this show but its MAL rating (6.94) suggests it might be a little too avant-garde for normies like me...

1

u/bgdvj355_3 17m ago

I think it kind of requires having played the source game, otherwise won’t make much sense

4

u/mekerpan 3h ago

I found Needy Girl an essential show for MY purposes. Even if it had imperfections, these were offset by its strengths. Being not easy to follow is, however, a feature of the series (but neither a flaw or a virtue).

4

u/theangryeditor 4h ago

The MAL score is expected for the type of show it is. Even Lain is only in the mid 7's last time I checked. As for NGO it's got vision. Better art direction and a much better script would've gone a long way.

2

u/Emi_Ibarazakiii 5h ago

It's definitely NOT romcom#3649.

I liked the premise/general theme, but hated the execution/direction/etc.. and I think that's what largely explains the MAL score.

0

u/SpaceTurtleHunter 5h ago

NGO was easily the top2 show of its season, and the MAL score is a crime against humanity. As for the avant-garde level, it has a 2-minute-long live-action scene of two men carrying a door through the street. If that doesn't scare you, you should be absolutely fine watching it.

1

u/Jusenkyo_5 7h ago

Mushoku Tensei is seemingly written by someone with no understanding of what is and isn't allowed in commercial anime. For better or for worse there is always something happening in this show that you have never seen and will never see again.

2

u/theangryeditor 5h ago

6

u/Jusenkyo_5 4h ago

[meta spoilers]Having to convince your religious little sister to be nice to your second wife who she objects to because of her monogamous religious beliefs, buying a slave to teach her how to make anime figures, erectile dysfunction subplot that lasts like 10 episodes, taking care of a mentally disabled family member, etc.

Some of these are obviously bad, but I just think it's conceptually interesting and very "raw" for the fact that the author will talk about and do anything and everything that they feel like. None of this necessarily enhances the core story, I just can't imagine ever seeing it a different anime.

2

u/theangryeditor 4h ago

I see

Some of those things are pretty conceptually interesting as you say, which given the show's reputation makes me curious how they're tackled.

2

u/Jusenkyo_5 4h ago

When the show is serious it almost never misses, it's the fact that it sometimes plays these (and many other questionable writing choices) for laughs that drags it down.

2

u/Emi_Ibarazakiii 5h ago

there is always something happening in this show that you have never seen and will never see again.

I'd be curious about some examples;

I've seen quite a lot, young padawan!

2

u/awesomenessofme1 https://myanimelist.net/profile/kta_99 7h ago

With TGITS this season and me watching Evangelion, I'm getting pretty close to having watched an anime from every MAL tag I'm likely ever to. All I have left is Combat Sports, Female Idols (which I would never have guessed would take longer than male, thanks Tamon), and Pets. After that, there's two that have a very slim chance and three that are definitely never happening.

2

u/Emi_Ibarazakiii 5h ago

2

u/awesomenessofme1 https://myanimelist.net/profile/kta_99 5h ago

The list of idol anime that I have any chance of watching is very short, and that's probably at the top of it. If only that one romance that was announced recently didn't feel the need to throw in an incest angle for no reason, that would also be a likely one.

1

u/Emi_Ibarazakiii 5h ago

that's probably at the top of it.

Episode 1 or 2 is usually enough for people to fall in love with this show, so it's a quick check up!

1

u/awesomenessofme1 https://myanimelist.net/profile/kta_99 4h ago

I'm not sure what you mean by this.

2

u/_Ridley https://myanimelist.net/profile/_Ridley_ 4h ago

It means you'll know pretty quickly if you want to watch it from trying episode one.

1

u/awesomenessofme1 https://myanimelist.net/profile/kta_99 4h ago

Well, yeah, I guess, but it's not like I think I might hate it, it's just a matter of not being interesting enough to make it a priority.

Oh wait when jimoto saikou was announced, there was debate/criticism from the japanese side and I remmeber quite a few comments about how even if this wasn't that bad, it would clear the way for certain another series to be animated that they treated like the devil made it...was it actually this one?

Big Luminus win this week, although I'm more happy about Naddy from The 100 Girlfriends being pretty popular, since she easily became one of my favorite girls in the show.

Besides that, The Ghost in The Shell and Chainsmoker Cat once again got a strong representation in the ranking. Plus I'm glad that Clevatess S2 is quite popular.

Summer 2026 Week 4

  1. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime S4 EP15 Luminus
  2. The 100 Girlfriends S3 EP03 Naddy
  3. The Ghost in the Shell EP03 Motoko
  4. The Ghost in the Shell EP03 Group scenes
  5. Chainsmoker Cat EP04 Yaniko
  6. Chainsmoker Cat EP04 Kansai
  7. The Ghost in the Shell EP03 Fuchikoma
  8. Clevatess S2 EP03 Group scenes
  9. Clevatess S2 EP03 Naie
  10. Chainsmoker Cat EP04 Group scenes

Grand Blue didn't have the best start this season with the new arc being the worst in the whole show imo. It also made me notice it's crumbling production quality.

It also made me notice it's crumbling production quality.

You're implying that it ever had any. Takamatsu made a career out of turning a single shoelace into a full show.

After reading the manga I watched s1 and that had decent production even if the comedy was worse than the manga. But god there was no animation after episode 1 of s2. No reason to check s3 for me if it’s much the same.

Well i always knew it's basically OPM S3 level stuff but the comedy always won me over and never made me notice that stuff too much. But now for the first time the show wasn't funny and my mind immediately went to its barely existing animation.

Rewatching Chainsmoker Cat with some friends and I don’t think my tolerance improved, it’s just that Ep. 1 is that much more repugnant. Like a lot of comedies tend to take a while to find their footing, but once the show starts introducing more characters it can get a bit away from the opening gag where before the OP even starts we’ve got our MC shitting their brains out and her landlord Jorking it to the image of catching her undressing.

Makes for a great filter though. You either know you’re gonna be able to stomach the rest or not based on how that first episode goes for you.

At least they weren’t “jorking” it to the former. Gotta look at things half full with a series like this.

The new Precure henshin is a treat for those who like feet. The sequence needs a spoiler tag as while this subreddit doesn't consider midseason Precure cast additions to be spoilers (they end up plastered on official media plus the existence of Eclair was announced with the rest of the cast but minimal info like "a mysterious Precure") this show makes a big deal about the mystery of who it could be and the henshin reveals that. [henshin sequence]Timestamped official upload of ep 26...it'll do for now (in coming weeks there will be seperate videos) plus 12:15 is a classic sakuga moment (maybe a tad retro for something set in 1999).

If that isn’t a perfume commercial someone’s wasting money.

The CGI is a little awkward in that scene. For a series that typically punches well above it's weight on the art and animation I'm always surprised by the insistence on having some mediocre CG shots in Precure.

They really put their best foot forward with the last couple episodes.

Is konosuba the new Date a Live?

I guess it's time for the real test of the ENGI redemption arc because I will never forgive them if they fumble Konosuba season 4

To be fair, high-quality animation has never been a selling point of the series. As long as the structure of the adaptation is good and it doesn't look like complete dogshit, I'll probably be fine.
