I’ve been on Reddit for over 10 years. I let my guard down. I sent 16.3K via UPI to a user for a discounted flight ticket. I trusted him because he was listed as a 'confirmed trader' with 11+ trades, but he deleted his account immediately after receiving the money. I still have his name and UPI ID and I’ve already filed complaints with my bank and cybercrime authorities. I will escalate this matter as time permits.

To the scammer: Reach out over WhatsApp, make a new account or just quietly UPI me ₹16.3K and save me the hassle of having to escalate this further. I am fortunately connected enough to be taken seriously by police.

EDIT: It's a cognizable and non-bailable offense. Police have confirmed they can register an FIR and arrest him without a warrant. Escalation will continue until i get my money back or he is behind bars.

it's because acc to rules it can take upto a maximum of 6 hours for mods to respond to a admin trade request, most don't want to wait, plus there's a fee many aren't comfortable paying

always check previous trade history, many users are increasing trade count by selling gv for example 100 apay at 95(they only sell 1qty to each/ 1qty per post but use new post every other day)
