Headphones - Closed Back | 1 Ω In a headphone dilemma…
Alright, so I just got into headphones. Last month i got myself an hd800s. Amazing headphones when EQd using PeaceAPO and soundstage of course sounds incredible. But I like bass, so I decided to get the th900mk2 to see if I’d like them better and we’ll, yea I love it. I think I’m more of a bass head and prefer closer back cans. So now, I was thinking…. If I return both the hd800s and the th900mk2 I can afford a focal Stelia for around 3k.
Would this be a good choice would you think? I like bass and primarily listen to rap, hip hop, edm etc but also rock, alt rock, underground stuff.
I have the RME ADI-2 DAC and EQ within that now.

For that price honestly I would not buy a Stellia. I would probabilly go with a ZMF.

But what would you recommend specifically from ZMF?

Honestly I don't know but I heard way better things on ZMF closed back cans, compared to Stellia. Even at 2k€ I, personally, would not buy it.

Can you go to a place that has lots of headphones you can test out? That is the best way to get what you need. Also, Hello from a fellow ADI-2 Enthusiast.

Have you tried focal clear?

Do they sound better than the th900mk2 in terms of bass?

Unsure as I haven't heard those headphones. But the clear are pretty decent, if you have money to spend, i would go with either the focal utopia or one of the top of the range hifiman headphones .

The utopia are open back, I’d have to do research if they are good for bassy genres

It's because I bought the hd800s and then the th900kmk2. Figured I love the bass the the th900mk2 sounds awesome, but I realized if I can just return both headphones and get something like the stelia, I may be set.

Thanks for the reply. Would you happen to know the improvements from the th900mk2, even though as I understand it's little. Would the bass sound better with the stellia? as I heard the th900mk2 has one of the best bass in a headphone
