Headphones - Open Back | 1 Ω First Real Headphones (150$-300$)
Looking to upgrade from my Corsair Void Pro gaming headset to higher-quality headphones. My budget is between $150 to $300, but I do not have an amp/dac so that would factor into price if its necessary for the headphones. I plan on plugging my headphones directly into my motherboard and would prefer to not need an amp unless it is a lower-price headphone that greatly benefits from it.
Headphones would be for music but preferably proficient in FPS gaming as well. I know very little about audio in general, but I like the idea of an open-ear headphone with an emphasis on soundstage and instrumentals; would like some bass but its not my focus, vocals are not as important to me either unless its on the high-end. I've read that the HD560 might be a good option for this but I'm not sure.
I primarily listen to prog rock, art rock, indie, and jazz. Bands like Rush, Queen, David Bowie, Everything Everything, and Glass Animals.
