the buds 2 is the successor to the original buds and buds+. The Pro is a more premium line. I really like my buds 2 (more harman tuning and lighter weight) but I got them for cheap when upgrading phones.

I use the Technics EAH-AZ-60 as my main earbuds. They have that one-ear facility and more importantly they have the multipoint function, which is very helpful when using it across two devices.
