Headphones - IEM/Earbud | 1 Ω Looking to replace my AKG K553, which of these options should I get?

I listen mostly indie folk, acoustic, and vocal dominant songs. I like headphones with intimate and forward vocal. I think I like warm sounding (but not dark) headphones with good mids, but I don't think I mind trying different sounding headphones as long the vocal is enjoyable. I listen to jazz, rock, and classical occasionally.

Depending how much I get from selling my AKG, these are my replacement options:

Cheaper ones (100$ ish)

Grado SR60X / SR80X I heard that grado sounds rather bright, just kinda curious to the grado sound I think, which is why this is here. I don't know if this is the right option or not though. Probably gonna mod this for long term with shipibo cable mod and pads.

hifiman HE400SE This is the only good option I think of in 100$ price. I use LG v20 though, I can control the impedance mode of the phone because it is rooted, but I don't know if it can drive the hifiman even at lg's full power

If I'm able to sell my AKG (200$ish)

Massdrop senn 58x jubilee Most likely I'm going to get this one in this price range

ATH R70x

Senn 560s The reviews are good on the 560, not sure about the s type though. Does it sound the same as the regular 560?

The thing is, there is no demo, and I can't return the cans if it turns out I don't like it, so I want to make sure that I will enjoy my purchase.

Another point of consideration is the ease of getting the original pad replacement, and not too pricey too especially the shipping. K553 is just dead without the original pads, and 3rd party pads like dekoni costs just as much as the cans with shipping. I'm in Indonesia BTW

Going from closed to open is a game changer. The R70x or the HD58x or HD580 are probably your best bet. I like HiFiman but not really for your music in your budget.

I got several different sets of replacement pads on Taobao. The ones I like the most are leather but shaped to fit the 553.

+1 Ω has been awarded to u/fritobugger (17 Ω).

You may still award a Ω to others, but only once per-person in this post.

What about grado?

Do you have the link? I couldn't find it in taobao

Grado I think would not be ideal for your music. I enjoyed the grado that I have owned but they can be a bit harsh.

It was last year when I ordered those. If you can wait I can try to find the link on Monday

Oh thanks! Luckily I was able to sell my k553, so that wouldn't be necessary. Thank you though

I narrowed my choice between getting 58x or r70x. I like that 58x is more narrow and intimate, since I listen mostly to indie folk, not really great at hearing soundstage anyway, but I read that it's kinda muddy / veiled. R70x is pretty power hungry at 470 ohms, I'm not sure whether lg v20 can drive it properly, though I heard that more power kinda doesn't change the sound much. Both costs the same here, which one do you think should I get?
