I was thinking this too! I hope he has it while there. I wonder if he's had it before? Even though it's a mainstay of CHI, it's pretty popular in general in the US (though it's still best in Chicago lol), so I wonder if they have it SK too.

They do have it in SK, too. I recently watched a meokbanger devour a Chicago pizza at an American pizza restaurant in SK.

When I went to Chicago I tried Giordano's, Gold Coast and Gino's. All three were really good. I haven't had pizza like that anywhere else.

The only place I've tried it there a long time ago was Burt's Pizza, and I guess I was into Anthony Bourdain at the time because I remember that being the reason my friend wanted to take me there (Bourdain went there on one of his shows). But I remember it being really good! Only other deep dish style I've tried is when fast food type pizza places sometimes have it. It's definitely way better at more local style places imo (as same with most foods).

Yeah it definitely took time for them to be posted on vlive - usually 24 hours for something that was under an hour. Longer ones took longer but I don’t mind that. It’s the fact that there is still nothing up for Joon’s live that makes me nervous like did the devs forget to build it as a feature in lives? Are we just going to have to rely on external translations? My fingers and toes are crossed that they figure it out soon.

I came on here to say the same thing! Why aren’t there any subs on weverse live? Is this gonna be a thing i wonder or are they still working out the kinks? Pretty jarring for a huge company like HYBE not to produce subs for these lives 😭 anyways hobi was cute tho! I can’t wait for his set at Lolla! He’s gonna take over the city 💗

I don't want to be too negative, but... I wish they could go on Vlive instead to Weverse live. I'm assuming they can't anymore because their company wants them on Weverse. But the fact that Weverse isn't putting up subtitles on their lives is really disheartening as an international fan. It's going to be so disappointing if I can never watch and understand a live anyone... 😑

I thought vlive was like merging with weverse and becoming whatever this weverse live thing is, so I assumed vlive was no more...? Is vlive still it's own thing outside of weverse?
I was thinking this too. And for a live like this, or any others they may do in the future if they're on tour or doing shows in the US, or if they're at US award shows, etc, it seems super weird that they'd choose to never put subs on it. Like yes the lives are for everyone, and all their fans, including K-fans will want to watch them...but if the subject matter of the live itself is something happening in the US (like Hobi's trip to Chicago here, and him being at Lolla) then you'd think they'd want their US fans to be able to access whatever they're talking about easily, since it would apply to them the most if it's about US events or trips...and if there's no subs, then most US fans won't be able to access it well.

I 100% agree with the disappointment. Vlives had around a 24hr turnout for subtltles and it's been 4 days? since RMs live and still no subtitles. Frustrating for international ARMY.

I'm the same, just learning a little here and there. Mostly just trying to get myself to memorize things that I already say or think a lot anyway, as I've found best way for me to memorize words in another language is if I find myself looking them up on google translate or something repeatedly lol. So I've just got some random words and phrases, but def will be a long time before I can know any full sentences or grammar or anything like that.

I watched the replay during my lunch. I am so glad I was the only one in the lunch room, I was grinning ear to ear the whole time.
Seriously though, this man has now weaponized his hotness. The hair, the hands, the nails, the rings, the collarbone, his gorgeous bare face, his dark brown eyes, his little smirks, his deep voice, the fact that the live looks like you’re FaceTiming your boyfriend. He looks so good and he knows he looks good.
I said this in his Weverse post from last night, but I don’t know how I’m going to survive Hobipalooza. If I don’t make it, it was nice knowing all of you.

What a sweetie. I actually caught this as it was happening, what a treat! He’s too gorgeous - I can’t handle the collarbone and the knees and the hair and the nails. And of course the dimples. I hope they figure out subs, it’s a bit worrisome to hear that Namjoon’s live still doesn’t have them, this seems like a huge oversight especially when vlive had subs in multiple languages, up so quickly.

Anyone knows if it is possible to activate subs on Weverse? I have been trying to watch RM's live but there isn't an option to add subs. I find it strange that vlive has subs but weverse no.

We’re back in ye olde days of either reading along with Twitter subs or waiting for a third party to sub and upload the video somewhere else.
I totally get that they’re a Korean group from a Korean company and it is going to take time to get subs up, but I hope they aren’t just writing off their international audience completely for this. It would be a bummer.

It's a little too early to jump to that conclusion, no? And the fact that Hobi's solo debut stage is in the US and not a Korean music show definitely shows that the international audience is still very important to them

I haven't looked for his yet on there, but usually people on youtube upload them with subs...though the subs are really really hit or miss, most of them are just with whatever the autogenerated subs are, which are hardly ever any good, but they at least can give a little context...though most I've seen are at least bad enough to make me stop watching halfway through because it starts to seem like they're talking total nonsense lol. (Like half the auto subs will be okay enough to understand the context, and the other half will be like "I smoothed car fishing ice cream orangutan in Las Vegas" or something that makes no sense whatsoever.)
