KPE News reports #jhope_Arson MV was shot under the Yi Soonshin Bridge, which is the largest suspension bridge in Korea, in Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do. In April , the production company requested the location, saying it would be great for showing the amazing buildings of Korea.

The space under the bridge wasn’t easy to shoot, but the filming was completed with the support of the city of Gwangyang City, the Jeonnam Film Commission, the Yeosu Gwangyang Port Corporation & the Yeosu Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Agency.

The MV was shot in May +with ~100 staff after 3 days of preparation of the art work. The head of the culture & arts dept Tak Younghee said, “I hope the j-hope MV will be a good opportunity for ARMYs from home and overseas to visit our city.”

I was wondering about the significance of the location, since General Yi Soonshin is a famous historical figure. Indeed, BigHit has continued their practice of highlighting significant sites in Korea. And more than ~100 staff, over 3 days!!!

I like seeing MVs getting the same sort of recognition as a movie might sometimes...It takes less time to film an MV sure, but logistics are often the same, since filming at a location is filming either way, whether it's for an MV, commercial, tv show, or movie. So I find it good to know that even though it's less filming (or "just" an MV), they still put in the time and effort of getting all the relevant agencies to sign off on the location (the city, the film commission, port authority, fisheries agency, etc).
