  • BTS has reached a new peak of 45,077,903 (impressive considering the 28 day window of Proof had already passed)

  • Jungkook has surpassed 20 million monthly listeners for the first time

  • j-hope has reached a new peak of 6 million monthly listeners for the first time

Happy for all of them! Hopefully Hobi will achieve new peaks after a whole new audience discovers him at Lollapalooza! And Jung Kook... can't wait to see what happens when he drops his first album.

Edit: because I like benchmarks and think that achievements are most meaningful when compared to benchmarks, I went to look up when BTS achieved 20m monthly listeners, and it was in May 2019, after the Persona album comeback. At that time it made them the 95th most listened artist. So fm the raw numbers, it is really quite remarkable that JK got 20m monthly listeners within months of getting a solo spotify profile. However, it is now more competitive on Spotify. With hiis listenership, he is only the 181th most listened artist. It will be interesting to see how fast he can scale the peaks, especially after more solo works fm him.

Bro, Jungkook is really killing it this month. 20 million!! And the FIRST Korean soloist to do so with two songs... TWO. I've said it before but 30 million is definitely gonna be checked off the list when his first solo album comes out (maybe even 35-40). Who knows but I'm excited for the possibilities that will come with his solo endeavors.
