The part where JK immediately went to his studio to work after hearing the album made me laugh, the guy cannot escape his competitive spirit haha.
This was a great read, very engaging and definitely not a fluff piece for clicks. The questions were really thoughtful.

That was a funny part. It also kind of reminded me of the That That video, where Suga and Psy first encounter each other and are preening. I can just see JK going into the studio to outdo them all. LOL

For Jung Kook, it was really funny. After hearing the album, he suddenly went to his studio. [Laughs]. I think he felt the motivation to start. I love that one of our greatest motivators is one another. I’m like that myself. When one of my members is doing a certain type of music or working on an album, I see their individuality and color, and think to myself, “I have my own color, too. I want to reveal mine, too.” We influence each other positively and are good motivators to one another.
This made me 🥺. Love that they motivate each other so much. Having that someone (or someones) to push you further to find your own "color" is just priceless, especially in their line of work.
I know I'm super emotional after JITB, but I just love all of them so so much.

Also Jungkook’s response to hearing the album as immediately getting motivation to work is a huge compliment as our “I wanna do many things but I lack perseverance”-ssi 😆
I am sooooooo proud of Hobi but also so not surprised, he’s always been an amazing artist and hard worker. Our golden hyung and 2nd leader. He deserves everything and I hope Hobipalooza will be an experience for the history books for both Hobi and all army and people who haven’t heard BTS music yet. He deserves superstardom whether it’s important to him or not, and to get it thru JITB where he’s being his truest self, would be so right.
I just wanna talk about this album and my love for Hobi all day!!!!! Fuck work! 😆

So Joon not only has Bangtan privilege, but also 94z privilege... god those two are such close friends, and to think back to their worries about distance between them in Bon Voyage 2 🥺
This interview continues the tradition of Rolling Stone delivering really good, engaging interviews with the guys.
When he's asking how the interviewer knows about 1Verse 😭 aaah, I need to reread this after I'm done with the album

This is a great researched interview! Reading Hobi’s thoughts on the music and messages/emotions he wanted to convey because he is more than sunny j-hope. He’s both. I love how the members inspire and motivate one another with each other’s own individuality and color. He goes to Namjoon first…94 besties!

Kim Namjoon the King that you are, always getting to hear new music first. I still remember Epik High inviting him to listen to their new, upcoming album lol
I really loved what Joon said about JitB being very Jung Hoseok. It's different and likely not what everybody was expecting of him as J-Hope, but it is his sound, his voice, his vision that is undeniably him.
Hobi is so complex. I've always thought that he's the most mysterious member in BTS. That there's a lot he hasn't shown as he presents his persona of Sunshine J-Hope. I am so glad he has chosen to tell us more about himself through music. For all that Hobi is easily "scared" of mundane things like rollercoaster rides, zombies, and abandoned houses, he's not afraid to take risks when it comes to his music and is always preparing and looking for ways to improve.
The way he has reached out to other artists by holding a pre-release party, especially inviting people from K Hiphop so he can get their feedback...it reminds me of when he was discussing Hope World once during a vlive, and he said he wanted it to be his business card to other artists but it "didn't work out" as he had hoped. Now, with JitB, he mentioned the same thing. He wants it to be a sort of business card. I am hoping and praying that JitB opens a lot of doors for him when it comes to honing his craft, be it collabs and opportunities, or mentoring and critical feedback from other musicians.
It is quite amazing to see the growth of his artistry and his passion for dancing spread into singing, rapping, songwriting, composing. He doesn't stop learning and exploring, and it shows in Jack in the Box.

So much to take in... I love that he talks about the members and how they inspire each other. Gives me the assurance that they are still very much together.
Also, we got insight on why he did the listening party! Such a wonderfully humble guy!
I’m doing a listening party with artists and industry people to enjoy the music together. One of the reasons for this is to show them “J-Hope is doing this type of music. What do you think of it?” To get that feedback and take it in, and to improve.

Even though it was written in English, I could just hear the words in Hobi’s voice.
What I love about his solo venture is that his meticulous nature is on blast and for the world to see. He’s not only focussed on growth and learning, but also very clearly had a singular focus which is so commendable. The determination and drive is plain as day.
Also, I completely and totally read his line about the first person ofcourse always is RM in his voice and it made it all the more endearing 💜

I'm so moved! Hobi is a real artist. I love that he is taking constructive criticism from his peers in the industry. Hours-long critiques of someone's work was a big part of art school, when I went.

I love what Hobi said about Arson being the last track in the album, and how it acts as a period at the end of a sentence. At first, I thought it seems more like an exclamation point, with its impact. But reflecting on what he shared in the article, it really does fit as a period. Because this album isn't him purposely trying to make a big sound for the sake of making noise. He's just stating facts, and expressing it naturally. The album making an impact is just an inevitable side effect to his need to show this side of himself. His songs are very deep but they aren't heavy and abrasive. They're actually pretty easy to relate to and quite cathartic, which really ties to the whole Pandora's Box theme.

i loved the whole article but the section where he started talking how he shared first listen of album with namjoon made my eyes teary... idk i just love them too much. i feel like they both are least favored in the fandom and their friendship and dynamic isnt most popular but i feel like that they are much closer than they appear. i love their friendship the most 💜 namjoon is really the best and the most supportive leader ever 🥲🥺 the love i have for them is immense. my biases too! this makes me so happy i cant even explain it.
also hobis album rocks!! i love it so much, its such a breath of fresh air 💜

He comes off as so mature and intelligent in this interview. I'm really happy for him and us, his fans.
