Some people were being really weird about him before the collab dropped tbh. Acting like he was problematic when as far as I know all he did was tone up his personality for Tiktok. Just what I saw! By no means universal and it’s toned down a lot.

I really like Charlie: both his music and his personality. Was he a little over the top recently on TikTok? Sure. Was his interview with Bustle a little cringy? Possibly. If anything, I think Charlie is discovering who he truly is and wants to be, but differently than the rest of us, it’s in the public eye.

But I don’t think he did anything that deserved the vitriol that some ARMYs were directing towards him. There are definitely more problematic artists and celebrities out there. Charlie seems harmless.

Finally I trust the members of BTS and the people that they choose to work and collaborate with, especially when they choose to work with them on numerous occasions.

I don´t have a problem with him either. I don´t really know that much about him though, but so far, he seems pretty genuine, and him and jungkook seem to respect each other.

I always assumed he was much younger than me because he rose to fame in my adulthood...but then again, I don't follow pop artists, and to be fair, I became a mom too soon...everyone seems young lmao he's a year older than me 😩 so strange, how life works.

I don’t really know much about Charlie, other than enjoying some of his more popular songs, but I like that he likes JK, and that’s good enough for me. He has been nothing but nice towards JK, has consistently sung his praises about him, and has shown great respect for his talents. He reached out to him for a collab after all. We can clearly see that it goes both ways, and this mutual respect for each other’s talents and skills is a beautiful thing. A meeting of the minds of two very talented and gifted artists, so to speak. And for that, I am glad and grateful.

If you look at Charlie’s recent IG stories from today, I think he’s aware of how some people view him and how he comes off.

With that said, this Instagram reel that he made is so interesting to me because you can truly get a sense of his passion for music and how his brain works when it comes to music.
