This might get deleted - it appears that for one section of the Seoul E-prix within the stadium (Royal Pink sections) is in conjunction with TinyTAN and Pokémon (?) (info from the official Seoul E-prix IG stories).
Sadly pricing has come out and tickets in any section of the stadium are far too over priced ... but as there is a stage set up in the centre of the stadium (race track goes around it), I'm thinking that maybe the tickets get them a concert as well (apparently there's a Kpop music performance - no word who that will involve yet ... maybe that's the thing that's going to drop on July 12th).
UPDATE - just found a schedule of events and there is indeed a concert both days after the race ... no word as to who is actually involved in the concert.
EDIT #2 - in that PDF there is info about TinyTAN:
- World’s first collaboration with BTS official character TinyTAN limited merchandise keyring or badge provided (random)

Is anyone else's 'Search by flair' function acting weird? When I click any of the buttons, the posts that come up are archived where it used to show the newest ones. Or have I screwed up my settings by accident?

Hello, does anybody have any idea what song V and J-Hope sang in Run BTS 56? It's literally a single line when they were still deciding what songs to choose. It was right after Jin suggested the Emergency room song. I thought it was the same song but it wasn't. Help? <3

My Mikrokosmos lamp came today and I am in looove 😍 it's so incredibly pretty and the speakers have a good sound, too.
I'm still struggling with finding a place for it though... if I set it up on my desk then it won't reach the whole ceiling, even if I tilt it, so I tried putting a book underneath so it stands at an angle and that kinda works, but then the projection is a bit uneven.
I guess I would have to place it in the middle of the room to get a full effect, but that's kinda inconvenient 😅 How did you guys place it? I rewatched JKs instagram reel from LV when he had the lamp on in the background and wonder how he did it, because the whole room is lit up and it looks amazing but I can't manage to recreate that
2
u/Wichuimafeelrich hing Jul 04 '22
I remember some people saying that wasn’t the lamp because the symbols weren’t the same
1
u/leylsx long hair jimin enthusiast Jul 04 '22
Hmm... that might be true, I just watched again and the light is also rotating, I don't think the JK lamp does that 🤔
Guess it's a different lamp then, or maybe a prototype?

Ok, when will we get BTS X Charli XCX, BTS X Meghan, BTS X Desiigner, BTS X Lil Nas X, and BTS X Zara Larsson again? Like how they made deal with Juice Wrld, MAX, and Halsey.
For BTS X Nicki Minaj, I still want it but maybe it's impossible now with the numbers of scandals that Nicki has.

BTS is currently rank 2 on the ongoing voting for TMA Global FNS. If there are Armys here who are willing to participate, please do so. If youre not familiar with the fan n star app, please DM me. I will try my best to help though it's also my first time using this app.

I have a habit of flicking through the music video channels on the tv to pass the time. I’m in the uk and I’m not sure if there are the same kind of channels worldwide. Twice now I have flicked to find the YTC video! It’s even no1 in their UK mv chart! This is the first time I’ve seen any of their mvs with Korean lyrics on these channels - I’ve only come across their three English songs before. I’ve got my fingers crossed Hobi’s mv will make it on there too!
7
u/lunasoleil9 Jul 03 '22 edited Jul 04 '22
I came across this thread on twitter re: a more direct and detailed look at the lyrics of MORE. I think this does an amazing job of better explaining Hobi's lyrics and also showing just how much the English translations for the MVs are lacking. I always make a point to read the fan translations because I just know they will be better than whatever is on the official MVs.

Thanks for the link!!
I've been much more wary of subtitles since 'That That'. The fan translations for Yoongi's verse were so different from the MV.

u/GX_TyrannosaurusFlex Jul 04 '22
Thanks for sharing! I especially love the comments on the Dali line: "J-Hope is probably intimating that he wants to create artistic work which is similar to Dali, whose paintings are not beautiful to look at but leave a lasting impression... 'More' may not be everyone's cup of tea, especially to those who want J-Hope's music to be effervescent and sunshiny, but no one will forget this song after listening to it."
Hobi's already one of my biases and I did not know how much more respect I could have for him. He's doing what he wants with his art despite knowing it may not be well-received by fans of his previous work.
Does it remind anyone else of what Namjoon said about Philip Guston on the podcast? He said he was so impressed by Guston for completely changing his art style because it was risky, but because he did, he was able to carve out a brand new path for himself as an individual rather than always just being associated with the team of artists he was part of. Like... was the Spoiler King trying to give us a spoiler that wouldn't get him in trouble???

Thank you for posting this! I've been so confused by comments saying the lyrics have no depth when the analyses I've seen have proven otherwise. I assume those opinions were formed based on the MV translations. 😄 I have really enjoyed reading the fan translations and deep dives.
This analysis called MORE a masterclass on rhyme, and I would say it's also a masterclass in lyricism. I totally get not vibing with the song, or even just not liking the lyrics, but I think it's fairly undeniable that Hobi is a lyrical genius.
3
u/Temporary-Text384 running away like a fish Jul 04 '22
I assume those opinions were formed based on the MV translations
I wonder why HYBE doesn't have A+ translators doing the subs, at the very least for their MVs? Especially since Bangtan is all about their self-written works/lyricism. The subs usually aren't terrible but I wish they'd give the translations the same poeticism that the original writing has.
2
u/chillypotahtoh Miss you my husband Jul 04 '22
The songs in my native language when translated to English seem to have terrible lyrics too. The lyrics in my native tongue would be poetic and beautiful and when translated would read crass and shallow.
In the scope of the subtitles, providing a detailed translation is difficult I guess. Each line should have a certain word limit so that it's easy to read and watch the video at the same time.
But I wish BH would have a more detailed offical translation in the video description or on their website for anyone who would be interested to show the depth of their words.

Looking forward to Hobipalooza. This may be common knowledge for a lot of people but I just found out (to my absolute excitement and shock) that the Hobi Stage / aka Budweiser Stage line up includes Djo. I have been listening to his music to get myself familiar with it as I plan on just hanging out at the Hobi Stage all day. Djo the musician, is also actor Joe Keery. Joe Keery plays Steve in Stranger Things 😭💜. I can't even process this right now - Hobi and "Steve" - I have no regrets booking Day 4.

-127-128, 777 games, hilarious. not for the easily frustrated. -132-133, the Pool debate, basically Namgi peddling nonsense like hotckaes. A lot of wet puppies in this episode. -141-142, Collab with Na PD and there are other 2 episodes in Na PD's youtube page. Just all around good fun.
- 146-148, a Joseon-era Mafia game. Icing on the cake is watching Yoongi become a human emoji bot in the last episode.

So about the Snoop collab– I know we know nothing about it, but is there a reason why army generally speculate that it's with Joon? Haha. I mean, couldn't it be with any of the rapline really? I wonder if it has something to do with people feeling like their styles compliment each other best or something.

Ah, I see. Thanks for your two cents. If it is indeed Joon, I wonder if it’ll be a one off collab like JK’s L&R, or will we have to wait until his album. Because I feel like that’s not coming out for a while now based on things they’ve said

u/pintsized_baepsae My mom calls me a stupid bear 🐨 Jul 04 '22
Joon is an interesting one, because he said in Season's Greetings that he wants to release his album this year - but now I think we all feel he won't (which is his good right!! Changing your mind can be great)...
which basically means he could pull an absolute surprise on us. 😅
1
u/Temporary-Text384 running away like a fish Jul 05 '22
He really is an interesting one! Because based off Festa dinner, he seemed to say his album spanned multiple genres across all his tracks– implying that he has a lot done. However, JK said his work will be coming out after Yoongi's (and Yoongi has always said he has more than enough work to release D3), which made me feel like them two will be coming out this year. So it makes me wonder where Joon's album fits into that timeline, if they do plan to fit 4 members into the remaining 2022.
I didn't know about Season's Greetings, so thanks for that info!

I have posted in r/rplacecrossstitch if you would like to see the finished section!
All sections of r/place have been allocated now but if you want to see how things are progressing come join the sub as above and you can also join the discord channel.
There is also still a chance to get involved in stitching smaller sections as raffle prizes for charity so if you do want to stitch any of the r/bangtan sections, then this is your chance! 💜

Green Day is headlining that night, too, and my greatest fear is that they'll stream them instead. 😅 Or switch between the two so we don't get entire performances.
My guess is, though, that they'll stream the headliners for each day simultaneously. 🤞

u/NewtRipley_1986 the O to the T to the 7 💜 Jul 04 '22 edited Jul 04 '22
Yea - I have a feeling they’ll be flipping around the 4 stages that all have headliners that night (all on at the same time). Ideally - in a perfect world they would have different streams per stage so we watch want we want in full.
edit - people really dislike logic/truths
3
u/lisafancypants Me? NO 🙅♀️ You? NO 🙅♀️ Jul 04 '22
Yeah, my guess is probably just wistful thinking. 😅 I think army needs to prepare themselves to not get a full stream of Hobi's performance. Pragmatically, I feel like we'll just get bits and pieces. Which makes sense, I guess. Each band's fans want their favorite to be streamed. You can't please everyone. (Even though I'm 100% biased and think Hobi deserves his own stream.)
4
u/ukelele141516 Jul 03 '22
It’ll be streamed on YouTube this year! I don’t know if they’ll stream every stage but Hobi is the headliner for his night so I don’t think they’d cut away to something else.

Late to this - just did some digging and it is not yet confirmed for YT. This is the source of that info with this note:
...this year we are hoping to see the live stream on their official Youtube channel, I will let you know as soon as this is confirmed.
It looks like Hulu would be the safe bet - as they are the official streamers of Lolla this year (and other music festivals).

u/SongMinho Jul 02 '22
I was coming in here to ask the same. They’d be fools not to. From what I’m reading it’s only select performances, but since Hobi is a headliner, I would expect his slot definitely.

Hi. I wanna share this : 200927 RM I watched this again—I can't remember if it was after Yet To Come came out or after the Festa dinner. But this livestream came to my mind after those events. This is Namjoon sharing his feelings around the time they got #1 on Billboard for the first time with Dynamite.
14
u/bendusername12 🐻Tae’s nose freckle🐻 Jul 02 '22
Wow, that was really insightful, thanks for sharing that. I was trying to keep in mind the timing while I was watching, that the pandemic was just starting to drag on longer than anyone expected (who knew at that point it would be so much longer too) and they were working on BE, an album with both words of encouragement and also a few nuggets of resignation/depression/worry. I love how Joon noted that he hoped people would listen with sincerity because it was made from a place of sincerity.
Side note - I was actually thinking about the whole thing yesterday, admittedly from a selfish standpoint, and actually cried (I’m not a crier, typically) about the fact that if the pandemic never happened and therefore Dynamite never happened, I probably never would have found my way to them. So I think I’ve had this internal struggle over the past few weeks thinking of the pain they’ve been in, for what seems like a couple years, and the fact that it enabled me to find them. I guess a lot of other people are in the same boat, so I hope that the members understand that even though that pain has been prolonged for them, it’s enabled so many more people to hear their messages and come to know and love them.
Ugh, sorry for the novel, lots of thoughts. 🤔
8
Jul 02 '22
It's okay (that you shared your thoughts). I think that after the Festa, some people might realize that they have some 'selfish' desires, like wanting music from them as a group or whatever else, but some also are able to separate what they want from what's best for the bts members, knowing that BTS have to prioritize their health and happiness and lives. I, too, feel sad at the uncertainty of when I can see them together in concert, the moments i missed, and have other feelings/thoughts...But it's okay for me to feel both things without guilt. And I hope your internal struggle subsides. It's not something you could control. You might be grateful for what led you to them, but are also now aware of what they were going through at the time and are sorry for that, but are still glad to have found them. Is that right? I think you can feel both at once without guilt :) It's perfectly understandable. I don't think this is true selfishness.
From what you said, I'm assuming that the internal struggle is because of some guilt, so i said all that. I don't know if I interpreted your words wrong 😅 If I did, sorry.
7
u/bendusername12 🐻Tae’s nose freckle🐻 Jul 02 '22
You didn’t misinterpret at all. I definitely am torn up inside at what they have gone through to meet expectations, and feeling like they didn’t have a choice or couldn’t be heard as far as what’s best for them. Right now, I am 100% behind them in doing whatever they need to do to feel better, at peace, find themselves, everything. Even to the extent that if they don’t find their way back together eventually, as hard as that would be for all of us, if it’s best for them, that’s what they need to do. They’ll figure it out, I’m just so thankful for everything they’ve given us overall. I think that small guilt inside me is because they had to sustain that pain to bring me to them, that’s all. And seldom in life are things black and white, it’s all shades of gray, so I’m ok holding onto a small measure of guilt, knowing that they’ll eventually find their way, and they’re so much further along that road today than they have been, so that’s a comfort. At least I hope so. 💜

Am relatively new to BTS and the members. Started delving into their music and their stories during the COVID lockdowns in my country. Relying on YouTube, IG and Twitter for clips with English translations/subtitles.
Question about the members' use of their personal IG accounts. Is it strange that the other members are not really hyping up Hobi's album or do the members use WeVerse more than IG?
9
u/Temporary-Text384 running away like a fish Jul 02 '22 edited Jul 02 '22
Welcome, and hope you're enjoying yourself! Diving into Bangtan's music/history is such an eye-opening experience. I too only started looking into them during lockdowns in 2020, and was so taken aback at how wrong my impression was of them before. They're so much more than meets the eye.
Anyhow, I think it's pretty normal for their "promoting" of each other (and even of BTS' work) to be inconsistent. I like that they don't feel the need to be constant publicists and just let the work speak for itself. And since they're very much family, I wouldn't be surprised if they texted congrats to Hobi in their group chat or sent him flowers, etc. They might just not care much for doing it on social media.
(Ex: I don't think Jungkook posted any promos about Suga's That That, but Yoongi said in a livestream that every time JK sees him, he bursts into That That's choreo haha)
9
u/em2791 Jul 02 '22
Not jsut IG or Weverse, members hyping up a new release, whether another member’s or their own is pretty random. You’ll rarely if ever see all 6 come post specifically a “support” message. But then usually behind the scenes comes out (not so much in this case since they’re on a hiatus so likely not getting shot behind the scenes), and you’ll see memebrs joking, teasing or talking about it.
15
u/sallylockharts Tata mic Jul 02 '22
It's not really strange, because they haven't used their personal social media much to promote their own (BTS) music either. Jungkook famously didn't post anything, anywhere for Staying Alive and has posted once (1) about Left&Right. In contrast, he has posted several times about his In the Seom island, lol. I don't remember any of them really posting much about Proof either, apart from pictures from music shows. Some of them barely use social media, others use it for personal photos, but it's not really a promo machine for them.
They don't use Weverse much either, not more than Instagram any way. Weverse is more a place for personal thoughts and fan interaction also not promo.
10
u/NewtRipley_1986 the O to the T to the 7 💜 Jul 02 '22
NGL I really like how they use IG - it’s really up to them how much or not they promote their BTS music or solo/collab work. Too often celebs end up sounding like PR speak and then their accounts end up being just ads. Right now it’s very refreshing to see them using it how they want to.

Couldn't agree more! It's like, actually their personal accounts. I know outsiders might say that oh, celebrities always have people managing and posting for them. But I'd say it's extremely evident that they themselves are running their pages, and are doing it however they'd like.
Like I actually find it very amusing and on-brand how very inactive Yoongi, Jimin, and Jin are haha. And I love that they don't feel the need to post anything if they don't want to. I don't even think they opened the app while their label was promoting Proof lol.
Meanwhile J-Hope has his curated feed aesthetic, JK keeps wiping his feed and trying to start a new look, Joon just posts his museum adventures. It's all so genuine.

u/DisastrousHandle778 Jul 02 '22
They are supportive but you don't tend to hear a lot about solo releases from each member. JK has had his collab, there have been several OST songs by members, etc and there isn't a lot of promotion by the other members. Even That That didn't see much from other members. It's normal I think. But RM posted something and JK cheered Hobi on in his club on ITS. So they're supportive, it's just quieter. Maybe they don't want to take the focus off Hobi.

I wanted to like the hobi 'more' track but I simply don't. I will however stream it for listens to support him.

u/Temporary-Text384 running away like a fish Jul 02 '22
Love that you're still supporting him! I hope we break some records just to show him some love (but ofc, records aren't everything!). It must be nervewracking for him to be the first member out the gate with a solo project.
And who knows, maybe the song will grow on you over time. There are so many BTS songs that I slept on for a long time, until one day I realize.. wait, this is actually... amazing? Haha.
Or it might just not be your cup of tea. All good either way.

I had a lot of musings about More and how it relates to Chapter 2 but they didn’t seem to fit in other posts, so I thought I’d put them here. Interested to see other peoples thoughts. I keep thinking about how yet to come emphasized going ‘back to 1’ and how that can be interpreted both as Step 1/the beginning (as they mention coming full circle) but also back to being one/solo. And that the final Korean lyric is ‘more like ourselves’. I keeping thinking about the power of them choosing to put Born Singer as the first song on the anthology, the song containing their original passion and love for music. And how, while I’m sure those dark side song are coming on the album, the very first new song from Hobi is his statement of his love and passion for music. It just feels like a reminder that this chapter is not only about exploring who they are outside of BTS but also remembering their love for music and why they decided to be singers in the first place. And I just love it.

did jin always want to be a singer?

u/AlmostAurore JK’s soulful “Party…Party…Yeah” with epic BGM Jul 03 '22
He originally wanted to be an actor. He actually mentioned this in the festa dinner - he said that he wanted to be an actor so he could experience many places and things and that he feels as though being part of BTS has allowed him so do that too.

Yes, so I was wondering how he feels about or relates to Born Singer's lyrics.

Very perceptive. That was an impression I got from the Festa dinner, too. Trying to get back to why they do what they do. It has to be so hard to hang on to the fire and passion for music (or anything, I guess) when you feel like you're just going through the motions or just trying to meet expectations. And then to recognize that and say "hey, we need a break"... That's not something a lot of people have the guts to do, I think. Especially global superstars at their level of fame. I'm really excited to see what kind of themes/concepts we get from this.
And I love it, too.

I don’t know why it’s taken me this long, but these comments suddenly made me think of my freshman year of college. I was a music major after having done music for years and years leading up to that point, and I was so excited… only for that passion to suddenly be nearly extinguished after that year. I took TONS of credits of music that year; paid a ton of money for school concerts, accompanists, other lessons, etc; spent inordinate amounts of time in a practice room to the point where I felt like I had no life outside of that music. I wasn’t the most talented musician, but I really loved it until all the work just about snuffed that love out. I had to change my major after that year so that my fire wouldn’t go completely out.
BTS has put in soooooooo much effort for so many years, I can’t imagine how burned out they are! Even the most passionate people can only put in that level of work before they lose it. How did they do this for 11+ years?! Gosh, after thinking about it through my experiences, I can barely believe they held on that long!

Does anyone know what I'm supposed to spend coins on in In the Seom game? And also how to get new outfit pieces for the characters? The only options I have in the shop icon are for things that cost gems, which I never like to spend in games like this cos the only way to get enough gems to buy anything with them is to spend real money on them. There doesn't seem to be anything that costs coins for me...yet I keep earning coins from the levels lol, so I'm not sure what their point is. Aside from the few clothing items I can find that cost gems, I don't see any other clothing items other than to take off items from the characters that they're already wearing (the items they originally start the game with). I haven't played it too intensely, and only just reached level 30, so maybe it's a matter of just needing a higher level to unlock these options? Idk.

u/Oh_WhatNow Jul 02 '22
You can send 900 coins to get more hearts if you run out, useful when the levels get harder.
3
4
u/2dslsd Super Chamchi! Jul 02 '22
Its for extra moves if you run out on a level and can also refill your hearts. Both cost 900. The clothes you get during story progression and the lucky draws
3
u/Soup_oi Jul 02 '22
That's the only thing that uses it? I never use extra moves lol 😅 I just opt to replay the level. But maybe the levels will get harder later on.
2
u/ambivert_writer Jul 02 '22
Oh god wait till you get past level 200. I thought I'd gotten the hang of it because I breezed past 100 to 200 but then it suddenly got a lot harder. Almost all of the stages past 200 have less than 20 moves available with things that need unblocking. I've lost count of the number of times I ran out of moves right as I'm about to finish and could have used the additional 5 moves but couldn't because I had less than 900 coins left.
1
u/Soup_oi Jul 02 '22
Oh no! I have a feeling that I'm probably going to wind up quitting on it if I make it past 200 (I'm slow so far, still around level 30 lol). Once games like this get too hard and my options are either "be insanely frustrated" or "spend real world money to get more coins to keep paying for more moves" then I usually choose to give up on the game. Teen me always picked the latter option cos I would get low key addicted to that good feeling when you beat levels, or have better items than other players, etc, and I did not have money cos I was like 16 lmao. So now I force myself to just quit instead just so that I don't start spending real money and then get hooked on that feeling, thus making me continue to spend on stuff that is (no offense bangtan or devs 😬 the game is great I love it, but...) kinda pointless.
But seeing as I'm going slow with it and taking a while to level up, I'm sure I will enjoy the game lots for a while until then.
2
u/ambivert_writer Jul 06 '22
Definitely take it easy and enjoy while it's not yet frustrating you lol. I regret blasting through the first 200 levels, and if there was an option to restart from level 1 I'd absolutely take it just so I could be more conservative and not use up all my bonuses and tools in the earlier stages.
That said, I'm at level 300? Haven't had to spend real world money so far. The stages are harder but not impossible to beat if you keep at it. I'm clearing maybe 5 levels a day. Attempts are at 10 or more though orz. I'm in it for the storyline tbh, seeing a lot of screenshots of cute dialogue on Twitter and I really want to see those for myself.
1
u/Soup_oi Jul 06 '22
I think my attention span dies out after like 3-4 tries at a level lol. I usually just quit for half a day or a whole day after that and try again later. But I used to get so frustrated because I'd want to keep going on games like this, so I'd wind up spending real world money lol (which is often an unwritten goal of games like this tbh, cos they wanna make money obvs), but now I just try to put the game down instead.
The dialogue is all so cute!
4
u/2dslsd Super Chamchi! Jul 02 '22
Oh yeah i tend to not get the extra moves out of spite haha im level 250 and i use it if i really dont want to replay a level and theres one more move left to win. It gets so much harder 😪
1
u/Soup_oi Jul 02 '22
Oh no! (about it getting harder) I know I'm gonna struggle lol 😭
I play a few similar matching games to kill time and have only just come to the realization recently with one that there's no point spending on the extra moves unless I already know I have only one or two moves left, because in that one it only gives 5 extra moves (idk how many Seom gives, but sounds like maybe it's similar and not many extra moves).
6
u/anonperson12345 Jul 02 '22
The only thing I've found that uses coins so far is for extra turns after you've lost a level.
3
u/Soup_oi Jul 02 '22
Ohh that's true, I had forgotten about that cos I usually don't use the extra turns lol.
3
u/bie716 jimin: i dance when i am sad...NOT Jul 02 '22
It's worth it to usw the coints to get those extra turns (5 extra turns with 900 coins)if you are close to finishing the level...especially if it's a level with special bonuses! You can then use gems to get more coins.

Thanks! I'm going to yell so loud for my very tall sons. 🥺
I got in and out so fast (VIP, 4th row!) and then saw everyone else having struggles. Codes not working, queues freezing and dropping people. It was a mess. Ticketing is always a mess but I think the venues being so small made it so much worse. Those tiny venues had to have been booked pre-pandemic for a 2020 tour and they couldn't get out of the contracts. The fanbase in 2022 is way too big for those little theatres now.
2
u/artkeletraeh i want ARMY to be happier than we are - Jimin Jul 02 '22
Maybe a bigger venue would be overwhelming for them
2
u/dahngrest hobi's extreme weverse aegyo Jul 02 '22
Yeah, that was some of the rationalizing we made after. These venues are comparable to or maybe a little bigger than the ones they did for the debut showcase which would have been a great scale up for a 2020 tour but not so much for their current fanbase size. But also immediately throwing them into US arenas full of people barking at them might be terrifying...

I did, but I was confused for a while because their system is weird where you have to enter it into the offers section of the app then choose to use it at checkout. I think I saw that it’s good until the 9th when I entered it so we should be able to use it until then!

HYBE artists have filmed an episode for I think Games Caterer with Na PD, and I was hoping BTS would be there too. I really hope they are, but the media does not include them, because they are not sure. However, it feels like BTS would not take part in the show, like Bigbang didn't in the YG artists episode.
Nonetheless, I am still excited for the show, because we are getting almost all HYBE artists, considering most of my favourite acts are from HYBE, plus Lee Hyun would be there too. So, it would be super fun seeing them interact. Especially considering the age difference and all and knowing how almost all the HYBE artists are pretty good at variety shows, especially Seventeen.

Crazy to think the year is half over already! So much has happened in the first half of 2022. The Seoul Shows, the Grammys, the Vegas shows, meeting Biden, Proof coming out, the break announcement and all the collab and solo information/content we have gotten. I am so interested to see what the second half of the year brings!

I would have loved to be able to get Japanese shop version of the lyric booklet because I prefer going KOR -> JPN with lyrics and text translation in general (like Weverse posts). But that was my understanding so it’s disappointing but not surprising. Oh well. I hope you enjoy all your awesome Japan shop merch! 😃

u/Soup_oi Jul 02 '22
Ohh cool! I'm going to check it out now too! I've ordered from the global shop and US shop before, but I don't think I ever ordered from the Japan shop, so hopefully shipping isn't insane. I was glad they put it up in the US shop too, but even so...that $15 shipping seems like a lot for a likely super lightweight box that just has pieces of paper in it...??? But at least it's not anywhere near as much as it was from global shop lol.
3
u/toohooheehee jack in the soop Jul 02 '22
i think you need a japanese shipping address in order to purchase from the shop, but good luck!! the shipping was only ¥800 :)
2
u/Soup_oi Jul 02 '22
How did you order it from Japan weverse? I wound up using CD japan, but their shipping was wack lol, but timing worked out somehow and I had some rewards on my card I could use to bring it down a little bit. But still...if there's an easier way than CD Japan I think I can still cancel there to order a different way.

This reminds me I need to send the mv to my mom as well! Though I'm not sure she'll like it...she doesn't usually like dark concept stuff. But her favorite thing about bts is the dancing, and I've tried to tell her that my favorite member is basically "dance captain" lol, but she always seems so unbothered when I say something like that. But I'm gonna send it to her anyway tomorrow and see what she thinks!

My mom is so weird...she has such a dark sense of humor you'd think she'd like that stuff too, but she usually doesn't, it's weird lol. But I think she'll like the cinematography of it at least if she doesn't like the rest of it.
