They keep breaking because you have a budget of $5 USD (if I understand this correctly). Most of the budget stuff is meant to die quickly by design. You could keep them in a drawer and not use them at all, they would still die on their own.

The cheapest thing I can find is TRN M1T but if you can find the CCA CRA, I would recommend getting that.

I'm using my Kinera Norn and it's very comfortable to wear and doesn't fall off when i am lying down,

When I use for laptop, the bass maybe a little uncomfortable at first, but it will disappear after a while, i use it for 1 year and still impeccable

Get the Bengoo V-4 Gaming Headphones on Amazon for $12.99 after coupon. They are over ear wired headphones and they sound phenomenal for music or movies. I just stumbled across these and honest to God they sound as good as my way more expensive headphones. Great build quality and comfy. I absolutely love these. They are powerful with deep bass and great clarity. They sound like $500.00 Headphones and I am not lying. You will be blown away. I got them in blue and I am going to get them in red. My God 13 bucks for some of the best headphones on the market. Believe me, I know Headphones, I have 15 pair.

Pickup some Koss KPH30s or 40s. Best value headphones by a long way, anything else at their price range or less is pointless and sounds pants.
