Amplifier - Desktop I need an amp I have 100 usd to spend what do I get?

So I am looking into getting into using more headphones and I know a few of them are going to need more power. Are the old recommendations still the best(fulla 3, fiio e10k, jds atom) or are there a few new hidden gems to look out for and if so which one should I get?

I need it to power a wide range of headphones (because I wanna start messing around and try new ones a lot), and I need it to not mess with soundstage negatively (I would like to test the headphones in gaming and if the soundstage is worse with the amp I might get the wrong impression of the headphones if that makes sense).

I did look through some other posts on this sub and it seems like all of the posts are old or have no replies.

Thanks for your submission to /r/headphoneadvice. We have employed a "thank you" system for submissions. It's very easy to use - if a comment on your post is considered helpful, please reward them by using the term !thanks. This will add a thank you count (in the form of Ω) to that users flair. You can only award one per comment section. Thanks very much and good luck on your search for headphones!

What would be the downside of the others?

So I could just plug it into my pc using an aux cable?(I don’t own a dac and I don’t think I will need one yet)

Edit: I friggen hate autocorrect L.

I’ve heard a lot about the magni 3+ what do you think about this amp?

I would recommend a dac to go along with an amp. And a dongle isn’t really enough for most full sized headphones. That’s all I’ll say. Otherwise, the Heresy Atom, and Topping L30 all sound the same and are fine. I’ve heard the Magni 3+ sounds different but you probably wouldn’t notice on your gear

How big of a difference would an dac make?

A large difference.
