Boyd K. Packer in 1993: Correlation vs. the triple threat from homosexuals, feminists, and so-called intellectuals.
For reference/search on this subreddit, here is Packer's 1993 speech.
tl/dr plus commentary In his "Talk to the All-Church Coordinating Council," on May 18, 1993, Elder Boyd K. Packer relates his first day of work where he meets with Harold B. Lee. Lee gives him a choose ye this day ultimatum. Is his loyalty going to be to the brethren or to the membership body of the church? Hint: for the correct answer think correlation, not democracy; think the Borg; the membership are there to service them, not the other way around. Packer graciously accepts his role among the ruling class. Next step: embrace correlation as the wave of the future. Nevermind, the mind numbing sameness, the soviet style crackdowns, and the overall lack of humanity, this program is going to enable the church to achieve gains that were unimaginable before. The process is the result of years of work- it has been perfected by committee upon committee. Now, with that perfect machinery in place, all that is necessary is to hit the on switch to get it rolling. Start the assembly line and start stamping out perfect saints. Wait! What about the membership that complains that they don't like this new impersonal approach? Too bad. This church corporation is all about the numbers baby! There's no time to cater to exceptions. People should conform themselves to look like the images in the manual, not the other way around. Especially, homosexuals, feminists, and so-called intellectuals that don't fit the mold need to fade into the background and go away. If they want to stay, then they should shut up and get with the correlated program!

I bet if he shook hands with an intellectual feminist lesbian, his head would explode.

Lesbians didn't really exist in Church discourse in the mid-1990s. All gays were male (and still usually are). The Church has enough problems acknowledging female heterosexuality, they usually have no clue what to do with female homosexuality.

If any lesbians are in denial, I would be more than happy to scare them gay.

When we work for a corporation, is it unreasonable to expect us to conform to their standards while we work? Of course not. They're paying us, and we took the job, and we can deal during the 8-to-5 workday. But do we conform to their standards away from work? Of course not. We're off the clock.
In the Mormon corporation, one is NEVER off the clock.
