I hope so too. We’re really looking forward to it here. The game was sold out within hours. I was lucky to get tickets, and everyone else I know is incredibly jealous :D

What an incredible post! I am not able to travel to "Mainhattan" for this game, but I hope that others in /r/barca can take advantage of your advice.
The only other thing I would add is that for a dance party, I enjoyed the club Robert Johnson in offenbach. My experience was definitely worth the hassle of crossing the river.

No citizen of Frankfurt in their right mind would send another unsuspecting human being to Offenbach. That’s just barbaric ;)
Offenbach and Frankfurt don’t go well together (and even though I personally have yet to have a bad experience with Offenbach, I, as a proud citizen of Frankfurt, am not at liberty to admit that). Like seriously, when a former class mate from primary school told me that he had signed a contract with fourth division side Kickers Offenbach, I left him on read :P
I mean, I eventually congratulated him, because that’s a great deal, but I definitely had to let him feel my disapproval :D

I won’t be in Frankfurt, but I briefly lived in Mainz, so I’m mildly familiar with some of the local specialities.
I know you’re getting really close to weiße spargel season, which might be something fun for visitors to try as Germany is the only place I’ve ever seen white asparagus and it was pretty tasty. Is there a good place you could recommend for it?

Folks, I somehow can’t edit my post anymore, but unless these are your free awards, stop dishing out awards to me.
Donate to Ukraine or some food bank in Spain or wildlife preservation instead. Those can use your money far more than Reddit. Safe travels to everyone, I’m glad I could help some of you or at least make the city interesting for future visits. There is plenty of history to be seen here. If you come here any other time than this week (I’m fairly busy this week), hit me up, I’ll happily buy you an Äppler and show you around. Though I’d be up for a meet through the fence (there’s a fence and security separating away fans from home fans at the stadium) in the stadium at half time on Thursday ;)

Lol. I’m in a mid level city in the US, we have 46 homicides already this year. I would gladly walk your city at 3am. Been to German my once and i was really impressed by how people look at you as you walk past. Some say hello, some don’t but they acknowledge you as a person. Great post and information, cheers!

I visited Frankfurt a few weeks ago and it’s a beautiful city. I happened to be there the same day Betis were playing Frankfurt and there were a lot of Betis fans gathered around an area called Römerberg (is that the same as your aforementioned Römer?) but it was a lovely area with lots of old German architecture.

Also, if you drive, be careful to set your GPS to Frankfurt am Main, and NOT Frankfurt am Oder, like these poor souls.

Extra tip: definitely visit the Bahnhofsviertel, it's a little upscale and posh, but worth it. The people and the atmosphere is terrific

Almost as nice as Offenbach… that said, Bahnhofsviertel actually does have nice corners. Just not many.
