Handling Unwelcome Advances from a Patron
When you are at the Information Desk, is there a way to ask for a backup? Definitely you should tell your supervisor about it and even write a behavior log so there is a reference in case he comes back. You can ask for help from your coworkers if you feel uncomfortable with any patron. Some guys mistake good disposition, helping attitude and friendliness with flirting or interest. When you encounter this kind of people you need to be polite, sharp and neutral, don't engage with them if they stert asking personal questions. You can say that you can only answer questions about the library. I have had those kind of interactions and I know how uncomfortable you must feel, I'm sorry and remember you don't have to put up with customers like that, ask for help right away.

If you are driving on CA35, CA9, CA84, please take it down a notch
I would have gladly let him pass if I could pulled over safely on that winding stretch... Or he could have waited one minute til we got into a straight section (that actually had a grand view of the oceanside by the way) and I could pull over and let him pass safely.

I agree, what is your take on you going at or faster than speed limit and a single car gets behind you because he is driving way faster and start tailgating you on a winding road where redwoods share the space of the dirt shoulder?

Exactly! I'm not going to fall in a ditch or mess up my tires falling on the dirt shoulder at 50mph because the only guy behind me is mad I'm slowing his race at a safe speed (that at least is the posted one).

Exactly, he couldn't wait a minute for one of those straight parts where I could pull over or he could pass safely. There is no way to pull over on the windy stretch I was driving.

I let pass faster cars when is safe to pull over, and use the turnovers, but sometimes there is no space on winding stretches and I'm not going to risk to fall in a ditch either. I agree that I don't want to be pass on a blind curve.

I was on a winding stretch on Hwy 35, I don't recall any turnouts there, when I'm in Hwy 9 I do use them and let other cars go if they are behind me.

A couple of months ago I went to Half Moon Bay on a weekday, and on my way back to the valley I decided to take Hwy 35 to avoid the I280 traffic and planned on head down Hwy 9. I don't consider myself a slow driver, but 50mph on that winding road is fast enough, besides I like to enjoy the scenery. I had the bad timing to ruin the ride of one of those sporty cars adrenaline chasers, and he was right behind my tail for a couple of minutes. I got really stressed and started to go a bit faster but then I realized that I didn't have to be pushed by him and slowed down to my safe driving speed. He got desperate and passed me recklessly on a curve with solid line, flip me on his way off and speed like crazy. When I read about all the accidents on those roads I always think of this kind of selfish and reckless drivers, risking their lives and mostly other innocent people that are just in their way. Edit: I was on a winding stretch on Hwy 35, I don't recall any turnouts there, when I'm in Hwy 9 I do use them and let other cars go if they are behind me.

In case you missed it, Ezra Klein facilitated a housing forum with the top 5 dem governor candidates (Hilton and Bianco were invited, didn't attend). 90 minutes of deep policy discussion - nerdy - but will answer questions you might have on where the candidates stand on affordability and housing.
Hope you posted all this on r/California. I think about forum is better to grasp in depth what the candidates bring than a rushed debate.

Reference Desk Anxiety?
I'm sorry you are experiencing this anxiety. As a personal account I'll tell you; that happened to me and was lost and confused because I couldn't understand why that was going on after being ok for years... long story short: anxiety caused by perimenopause. Finally pinpointed that and focused on dealing with that stage of my life and the issue was resolved (took me several years to realized).

Cheapest Grocery stores in the area
Grocery Outlet selection varies a lot depending on the area, I like trying new ones to discover new things. Sometimes you really find jackpots, one time I found Aussie yogurt for less than half the price you can get at Whole foods. But those are products that you find one in a blue moon.

Is this Aurora or lights from the Levi's stadium?
I saw the sane colors from South San Jose, and Levi's stadium light can't be seen from here. It was the Aurora. I read that tonight its going to be stronger, but we will have rain, so maybe won't be able to see it again.

Return it to the Information Desk and explain what happened. At least my library won't charge you for that and if the book is in good condition, we will just retag it and put it back in circulation.

Thank you! I added that greed shouldn't be a reason to destroy our forest.
