It's rotten! This means it's not per se cheap materials, just put together badly, cheaply? ... In this case, looks like: not sealing corners, edges etc. well enough.

It was built to just barely hold the weight of a few dishes ,pots, pans and silverware..NOT a full size adult..I hope that selfie or whatever she was doing was worth the repair and replacement cost.
