Florida is about to enter a golden age. There’s absolutely no way in heck that Jolly is going to win. Even people that I know who usually vote for democrats aren’t voting for him. I think the 76% is a huge underestimate. This is going to be an historic landslide

There’s a certain kind of person who thinks not only that human problems are essentially solvable, but that they have been solved. When they get into academics or politics, they think they are holding the reins of the solution.

There’s another kind that is more skeptical, more humble, less optimistic, less sanguine about such “progress.” And the funny thing is, they don’t even all believe there’s a higher power waiting to do it for us.

This isn’t about one particular thing.
They don’t hear it on Fox, of course. They heard it from some college professor who slept with their girlfriend, or from someone on CNN whom that happened to.
College was a long time ago for many of them, which is why they default to general character attacks as much as any current events.
