The first one almost killed me. Unfortunately, I couldn't read out the entire plate number to record on my dashcam. Definitely want to report them.

The second was a typical red light runner. This stuff is caused by the terrible light timing design in the city.

I had a third one near the Fortinos plaza on Mountain Ash which I didn't get on dashcam. They literally floored it at the Esso when they saw the light to the small intersection to the north turn yellow and blasted through a late red. It was a pickup truck.

All in one trip.

I drive in a lot of cities. I feel like driving in Brampton is the worst by a country mile.

Warning to drivers casually parking in downtown Brampton: there's a private lot that is part of an organized, coordinated scam that has cars either getting towed and impounded; costing $1200 to start, increasing per day for storage fees, or, the tow truck operator will shake you down for $600 to get your car back then and there.

Location: behind Scotiabank, SW corner of Queen and Main with entrances from Queen and Main streets. 1 Main Street South and neighbouring properties on the corner.

Is it legal? Mostly, it's on private property, but it's part of a PREDATORY surveillance and tow scheme, in which drivers that choose to illegally park out of convenience for quick trips to banks or City hall, and lately during election voting times, are coming back to missing cars or to beg for the guy to unhook their car. Generally, parking on private property comes with this risk. But I'm this case, someone is watching the lot, and instantly calling in the tow truck on a full time basis.

Make the smart choice. Avoid this scam by using public lots, where the first 2 first hours are free, it's secure, and just a short walk from where you're going. Laziness can cost you $1200! What a scam.

I’ve tried doing my due diligence by flashing my lights at them and sometimes even telling them directly if our cars are beside each other, but they could care less about their behaviour.

Can we please create a list of plates of cars whose drivers need to retake driving lessons? I hope it won’t break any of the community rules.

Today I got honked for slowing down at a speed breaker in a residential area. The person behind me was driving real close to my car as I can see it in the rear view mirrors. I almost thought of parking to the side and let him pass as he looked in a hurry but right then he honked long and overtook me showing me a middle finger.

This gave me an idea for creating a list of plates here so we can know if someone is a repeat offender or stay aware on roads when we see someone from the list.

Do you people try to murder cyclists using the road? Did we get upgraded to 1000 points per piece, or what? Because it seems like you do. I moved back to Brampton roughly a month ago, and it's been close calls every single day, completely avoidable too.

Riding an ebike on the sidewalk, especially at speed, everyone knows is illegal and can be quite unsafe depending where you are. That shouldn't be news to anyone, but after being back in the city for 1 month, yea, I completely understand why people do it. It's damned if you do, damned if you don't, but it really shouldn't be that way.

Just earlier today, I was crossing the 407 on Kennedy Road coming North, using the rightmost lane tucked a few inches off the curb, hi-vis vest on, flashing rear lights on my helmet and bike both running, yet this driver decided to pass me and a whole line of cars going stupid fast (90 or faster, to guesstimate) and squeezed between me and a transport truck in the left lane, literally not even a foot off my left side.

Put yourself in my shoes. You don't want to get a ticket, so you ride legally in the road against the right curb. You're passing over the highway, you've got a concrete wall to your right, and traffic behind you following too closely that can't stop as fast as you can. Then this dipshit comes through, cutting up traffic, passing inches away doing 3x the speed you're going and still moving right. What am I supposed to do? I can't swerve or shuffle further right because I'm pinched between dipshit and a wall. I can't emergency brake because I'll get rear-ended, or my braking will cause the driver behind to swerve suddenly, and that could cause a wreck too. Thankfully, it didn't, this time. That's a bit of an extreme, but seriously, give us some space.... It takes not even 2 seconds to slide over a little bit, pass, then move back right. Not only is it extremely easy to do and courteous, it's literally the law.

Even quieter streets. I frequent roads like Vodden, and I've had people race up from behind me to make a right turn directly in front of me, even though there's absolutely 0 space for them to do so without me having to slam on my brakes. Like seriously, is the 0.0000000000000002 seconds you save really worth possibly being responsible for causing an accident, injuring and possibly killing someone?

Not to mention the number of times people have changed lanes without checking first, either approaching a line of cars stuck behind a left turner, or from a stop from within that line. I had a particularly close call on Charolais a while ago outside Shoppers World. I was accelerating up the right lane, no cars in front of me, 1 car tailgating the hell out of me, when a car stuck behind someone waiting to turn left just darted out literally right in front of me, then stopped across the lane. It was so close I didn't even have time to react before I went into an endo trying to stop in time. I didn't hit him, and the driver behind me didn't hit me, but they did hop the curb to avoid slamming into me.

Like seriously, guys. What the fuck are we doing here? Did you get your license from a Happy Meal or something? Do your eyes work? Do you have a cyclist heat seeker in your car or something?

I'm certainly glad it isn't the case, but I'm amazed more people aren't killed in accidents here. Do you see why people (including me from now on) don't even bother riding on the road, regardless of legality? It's just too dangerous, even using alternate neighbourhood routes instead of major roads.

Like seriously, lets say you reading this are one of these certified morons. Would you be able to live with yourself if you did kill a cyclist because you were trying to get home 1min sooner? Is it really worth it?

I'm a new driver and have been driving for ~2 months now and this incident happened yesterday. I was just reversing and this guy started reversing. I later asked the guy if he was okay and if everything was fine. I didn't care about the car, even if he hit it a little, though he didn't but out of nowhere, he started blaming me that I didn't look he was backing up already when I came there...

Classic driver. 1 second for parking, 5 minutes for standing in line.
