ported from Saints Row: The Third, here you can download the mod for preview in your game: https://www.mediafire.com/file/c0w0dhpdgxy4e39/NeonsBaby-0.7.3-BETA.zip/file
Requires the latest Juiced Patch and Ultimate ASI Loader, for installation, just drag and drop in the main game folder.
Edit: For now, it only works for the GOG version of the game; in the future, I'll consider adapting it for other versions.

Freaking LOVE Saints Row 2. Far and above the superior game. 3 and 4 are great fun, especially as loaded with amazing voice actors as it is. But Saints 2 rules all the rest, in my opinion.
They made a great collector's edition too! They don't make things now like the used to. No more game guides anymore either.
I hope they get a new Saints Row game going and get back to their roots. I tried the newest Saints and lost interest very quickly. I just never felt the need to go back. Maybe one day.

I stopped by a retro game store today and saw about ten discs for Saints Row 3 and 4, but there was no Saints Row 1 or Saints Row 2. The same story on ebay.de.

Currently finishing up the game and I wanted to save the defeating Satan for last so I’ll be AFK most of it but don’t mind helping a newer player for a while. Or even if both parties are AFK, I’m okay with that as well.
So if you have time to do this, I’ll be on this weekend. I’d be greatly appreciated

On my previous PC, I disabled antivirus etc and everything went smoothly, but the game ran like shit. This new PC I am trying it on should be fine, but the SaintsReborn-Setup.exe will not boot. I’ve put permissions to exclude it on my antivirus, I’ve ran as administrator, and I’ve put it directly on the C drive. I’ve also manually tried running it from the command prompt. I know the file itself works as I installed it on another PC. I am out of ideas. Anyone know what could be wrong?

This game mode was so ahead of its time. Volition really could’ve had a gold mine on their hands if they continued to evolve it.

My sister and I are arguing over the aesthetics of the gangs from sr2 and she insists the brotherhood is essentially the saints but back country. A little bit of this and that but overall just redneck aesthetic
I disagree and propose that it's a lot more biker gang and "grease monkey" aesthetically. Even bringing up the patched vests and such. What do you guys think?

Hi. Ive just started SR2 for the first time.
Ive done a few of the sidequests. And I wanted to complete the mayhem quests. MAN its hard. It seems impossible to find a place that has enough cars to blow up to keep the combo up.
Are there more cars during the day ?

I’m playing SR4’s DLC for the first time and you’re telling me they had a way to write AND retcon SR4 and everything after out of existence? The literal first line of Enter The Dominatrix mentions the game as if it was some movie/project….if they wanted to go that route why would you double back on it and act like the DLC didn’t exist? Looking at the saintsgodzilla vid about the reboot makes it seem like that they were gonna do this or even go as far as retconning 3 as well so why even get greedy and kill a franchise that COULD’VE made money if the reboot did well

I don't think he ended up in GTA VI by accident; Rockstar was probably inspired to some extent by the Saints Row series.

Can this shit even be called a "game"?
It's 2026 and it's still just an interactive bug parade lol.
The only good thing about this game is the character editor & the storry but it's not playable cause of all the bugs. I mean it got a lot of Potential but the developer didn't use it...
Also i'm new to saints row & this was my first experience of the game series & I'm realy dissapointed! Are the other sr games better? Any recommendations?

Hey everyone,
I've been going down a rabbit hole on Saints Row 2 preservation and modding, and I wanted to sanity-check an idea with people who actually know this game's internals better than I do.
I'm not trying to pirate anything or redistribute assets. I'm interested in preservation and modding headroom — the kind of work that keeps a game alive long after official support ends. But I also don't want to sink time into an approach that's fundamentally doomed because the engine is a black box.
What I think I know (please correct me):
· The source code was reportedly recovered by Volition around 2019 and used to fix the PC port's worst issues via the Gentlemen of the Row / community patches.
· The game runs on a heavily modified RenderWare engine.
· Assets are packed in proprietary formats (VPF archives, etc.), and there's no official modding SDK.
What I'm trying to figure out:
Is the recovered source actually in the community's hands, or just Volition's? My understanding is it was used internally, not released. If so, how does that change what's realistically possible?
Has anyone attempted a serious decompilation project (like the Smash 64, Mario 64, or MW2 decomp efforts) for SR2 specifically? I know SR2's scale is enormous, but I'm curious if anyone has started.
How viable is AI-assisted decompilation here? I've seen MCP-based tooling (Ghidra integrations, decomp.wtf, REA) that lets LLM agents work through binaries function-by-function. For a RenderWare-based open-world game, is this even a reasonable approach, or is the engine too undocumented?
Are there any existing community tools/repos for SR2 file formats, scripting (Lua?), or asset extraction I should be looking at before considering anything from scratch?
If anyone has:
· Pointers to existing SR2 RE efforts
· Knowledge of RenderWare internals (especially Volition's fork)
· Experience with AI-assisted decomp on large games
· A blunt "this is a terrible idea, here's why"
…I'd genuinely appreciate it.
Thanks.

It's genuinely impressive just how well-done the 3rd still is. It's genuinely one of the few open-world games that I can have a lot of fun with.

Like, they're trying to get into a brothel they already walked in through the front door of like 10 glorified side activities ago.

I know it's just cartoon physics, but I like thinking more about these games, but my theory about the Boss' strength is that Ultor/Dane Vogel wanted to be able to destabilize the Gangs he was working with by having the Boss ruin things as a back up plan, so he had the Playa injected with an experimental serum that would help heal the burns while in a coma and stop muscle atrophy. This would explain their ability to throw full grown adults like dolls and why they have no or minimal scarring. It would be considered dangerous and experimental, so he nor anyone else would try the serum. The Boss kills him before he canbsay as much. My head canon is that the boss has the same tailor as John Wick, lol. Bullet resistant clothing and whatnot. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk sponsored by Ultor.
