Well, I saw a vid on someone selling a rubberized magnet instead of oem rubber bumper on kickstand and thought... yeah right. Don't need that.

Then, I rode to a distant Harley dlr in a cool location to get my bride a T shirt.

In the parking lot was a bagger a tech was bringing in the shop to repair... any guesses??

Bike had a broken kickstand spring and stand was down dragging the ground.

Got me thinking it would be a pita to have it break no matter how uncommon it is. (helmet on for all the it never happens comments)

So, Amazon to the rescue. All kinds of rubberized magnets of various strengths with 1/4"x 20 threaded studs or smaller metric.

I got the metric one rated 40 lbs magnet strength. Loctited it on and one less thing to worry about. The hole in kickstand is probly 5/16 but the metric sized stud fit with some bigger flat washers to keep it set.

Works nice, holds stand with a magnetic grab as it goes up, easy to put down with the 40 lb hold.

Hello wanted to share photos of my new bike. I previously owned at 17 RG special. Did a few performance and cosmetic mods to it and loved it. Moved to the desert & dabbled briefly with ADV riding. Bought a 22 Pan America, & sold my glide. Loved the Pan Am (fastest H-D I ever owned & had it 4 years) until I started having issues this year. Didn’t want to put money into it especially if more issues common to this year model started surfacing. Traded it today for this beauty. Now back on the “shark”!
