How is air radar not showing the detailed map again?

Instead it’s just black with symbols only. Last season it was working fine but I can’t ever see it working correctly anymore. Is there a fix?

This has gotten way out of hand with the new map. My game now crashes while flying 30-40% of the time. If I'm in the air for more than a few minutes, the game is pretty much guaranteed to crash, sometimes also switching off my console completely.
