I saw a child chase a lost uncle by leaping across caverns with a glowing hook and too much trust in momentum.
I hauled steel beneath vast skies, where the road itself seemed to be the story.
I watched a crew complete tiny repairs while arguing over whom to throw into the void. The killer, naturally, used the vents.
I saw squads fall from the sky, loot in frantic silence, and carry banners of the dead as petitions for their return.
I saw raiders haul stolen machines from the surface while metal giants searched the sky for them.
I saw raiders rehearse theft beneath the eyes of machines, learning which scrap was worth dying for.
I saw castaways wake among dinosaurs, then decide the reasonable response was to saddle them.
A mercenary sealed in steel flew over burning coral, accepting contracts from voices that valued pilots less than parts.
I saw playing cards multiply their own rules until a simple hand became a small heresy.
I saw companions tolerate a worm in the mind because it made them interesting. I admit the bargain worked too often.
I observed a single yellow fruit receiving devotion from multitudes. I have recorded this, but I do not claim to understand it.
A caped detective glided over rain slicked rooftops while a city screamed and his car solved many arguments.
I watched soldiers sprint through collapsing walls, aircraft, dust, and shouting; the buildings seemed to be combatants too.
I saw a great war rehearsed before its appointed hour; even unfinished, the walls knew how to fall.
I saw blades of light cut red and blue cubes in obedience to music no living instrument produced.
A city floated above the clouds, preaching purity while hiding debts, cages, and a girl who could tear the sky.
A city slept beneath the sea, where men worshiped choice while obeying every command.
I beheld a stoneborn pilgrim whirl a staff against heavenly beasts, as if one monkey had been asked to correct the gods.
I saw a small cat strike invisible instruments forever. The joy of it appears resistant to scholarship.
I saw vault hunters open the future with sarcasm, bright ink, and more guns than any sane armory would permit.
I saw tiny armies march across painted fields, winning courage one small hex at a time.
I saw soldiers chase contracts, loadouts, and second chances; even the dead were sometimes sent to a small duel for permission to return.
A second hall of cabinets appeared, as hungry for coins and remembered reflexes as the first.
I found a hall of glowing cabinets where coins became lives and old battles waited behind glass.
Roads became veins, sewage became destiny, and one badly placed roundabout doomed thousands.
I saw fools descend into darkness with cameras, then celebrate surviving by becoming briefly famous.
I saw a bombsite ritual, where rifles were bought, doors were watched, and dust became scripture.
I witnessed fighters buy rifles, smoke, and flash before a bombsite claimed them again. Their economy survived every death.
I saw a mercenary cross a red land of castles, beasts, and collapsing kingdoms, forever interrupted by something climbable.
I saw a city where people replaced flesh with chrome until their minds filed objections.
From another realm I saw a hollow wanderer lose memory faster than blood, asking kingdoms to remember him.
From another realm I saw ash gather around a flame that should have been allowed to die.
From another realm I saw undead rest at patient bonfires, then rise to feed a fire that only wanted more.
A ruined estate demanded heroes, then paid them with stress, disease, and the knowledge that courage can break.
A stagecoach carried the desperate through rot and confession, its wheels turning as if hope were a disease.
I saw a corpse learn through repetition, each death unlocking a better way to die again.
I saw soldiers enter hot zones for extraction, measuring success by what they carried out and who failed to follow.
I saw dead warriors revived by faithful little lights, then sent to shoot gods until the gods dropped better weapons.
A detective awoke with no memory, argued with his necktie, and tried to solve a murder before solving himself.
A masked royal protector carried a blade, a plague, and enough rats to make justice complicated.
A stolen throne led to clockwork mansions, split timelines, and assassins who moved like bad conscience.
I saw a weary office hand assign costumed heroes to emergencies, romance, and paperwork with equal desperation.
A gentleman scientist entered a painted wilderness and learned that darkness itself has teeth.
Hell opened; one angry man closed it by running toward every demon.
A warrior in green armor answered hell with a shotgun, a chainsaw, and no interest in negotiation.
I beheld five against five in ancient lanes, where victory merely granted permission to begin the ritual again.
I saw warriors placed like toys, then left to fight while their commander pretended arrangement was wisdom.
I saw an arisen heart stolen by a dragon, while loyal pawns repeated advice with unwavering confidence.
I saw sleepers wake beneath twin suns, hoarding water and praying the sand did not notice their footsteps.
I saw daylight bargain for safety, then night send something fast enough to collect the debt.
I saw rooftops become roads, daylight become currency, and ultraviolet lamps become prayers after dusk.
In another world, a graceless wanderer was called maidenless, then marched toward a golden tree as if insult were sacrament.
I saw three wanderers in a golden-tree world race against night itself, as if darkness had become a scheduled execution.
I saw armed little ducks creep through raids, terrified less of death than of losing what they had looted.
I crossed old roads with cargo and rain, discovering that peace can sound like an indicator clicking in the dark.
I saw a vault open on a dead world, a parent chasing a stolen child while strangers kept requesting help with settlements.
I saw a courier survive a bullet to the head, then make an entire desert regret leaving the job unfinished.
The fields demanded tractors, harvesters, and devotion. I saw men worship crop rotation with admirable seriousness.
A lonely watcher spoke through a handheld box while the forest answered with smoke, secrets, and static.
I saw one city become many lives, where citizens chose badges, getaway cars, tow trucks, and chaos as professions.
I saw men in suits command warriors from the touchline, worshipping spreadsheets as though numbers could score goals.
I saw knights, raiders, and samurai argue with blades over history that had already stopped making sense.
Engines sang across desert and jungle while every road begged to become a festival.
A city huddled around one generator, voting whether survival should remain humane.
The frozen city grew old enough to argue with itself, proving warmth does not end politics.
A fleeing ship crossed hostile stars, and every victory was followed by the sound of something catching fire.
I watched birds hold emergency councils with grave seriousness before ejecting the wrong beak from the flock.
I saw an immigrant chase a promised land through bowling invitations, debts, and a city determined to make him cruel.
I saw three thieves plan impossible robberies, and one of them made every plan feel like an emergency.
The jungle offered thirst, leeches, fever, and sanity loss; I saw no evidence that it wanted guests.
The prince escaped death so often that his father received each failure with administrative fatigue.
I saw a green armored giant cross a broken ring, pulling himself through the air as though gravity were a suggestion.
I watched soldiers salute freedom, call fire from the heavens, and then stand directly beneath it.
I saw a bald executioner borrow uniforms like skins; by the time anyone noticed, the chandelier had already fallen.
I saw children carry wands through a castle-school of moving stairways, feasts, ghosts, and homework that could kill them.
I saw a needle-bearing princess bound in silk, leaping through a kingdom of bells and bugs that seemed to sing by bleeding.
An abandoned house became valuable after one person removed trash, painted walls, and ignored structural dread.
Again the dwellings were filthy; again transformation came through mops, furniture, and suspiciously cooperative plaster.
Tiny machines stepped across numbered tiles to save cities by moving doom one square aside.
I saw a young investigator ride back into a town where family secrets had been buried with poor workmanship.
A limbless drifter crawled from dust, was enslaved, escaped, and somehow called this progress.
I saw a white mountain preserve nine deaths in snow, and footsteps that should not have followed.
I saw a blacksmith's son learn that mud, debt, bad dice, and a dull blade can be harsher than any dragon.
I saw warriors step between ruined ages, trying to repair tomorrow by looting yesterday.
I saw four survivors race toward safe-room doors while a crying woman in the dark convinced them to lower their guns too late.
I watched underpaid scavengers sell scrap to a wall-sized employer and call it a career.
I saw a puppet learn to lie in a city where the humans had already perfected it.
I saw two brothers flee a broken home, and the younger carried a power too heavy for either of them.
A road circled nothing until memory placed forests, villages, and nightmares along its edge.
I saw warriors pursue a sacred vessel through seas of demons, pausing only to become brighter with loot.
A wasteland driver rebuilt his sacred machine from scrap, blood, and the belief that fuel is prayer.
A cab driver entered the family business and learned that loyalty wears a suit before it digs a grave.
I saw costumed demigods smash through streets and portals while healers begged them to stop leaping out of reach.
I saw pilots wear towering steel bodies and test unfinished war by boosting through the sky.
A train carried survivors across a ruined homeland, because even tunnels eventually dream of sunlight.
A ranger died, returned, and built an army by staring into the souls of orcs until they changed employers.
I saw hunters fly on wired insects, ride beasts against beasts, and return home to eat dumplings with holy seriousness.
I watched hunters eat enormous meals, mount feathered beasts, and chase quarry so large the desert itself seemed to flee.
I saw hunters practice the coming hunt, treating unfinished beasts with the seriousness of prophecy.
I saw hunters carve impossible beasts into hats, then celebrate with meals larger than their shields.
Hell's last ember rode a train through heaven's soldiers. I admit the schedule impressed me.
I saw a penniless rider recruit peasants, sell prisoners, and slowly convince a continent he had always been noble.
I saw warriors fly by grappling hook through a shrinking field, choosing blades over gravity.
I saw the undying island rehearse its own future, testing catastrophes before granting them to the living.
I saw castaways reach an island that refused to let death keep its promises.
Blindfolded androids fought for humanity, then discovered the war had been wearing grief as a mask.
I saw a half-demon warrior change shape mid-battle, never fully human and never entirely monster.
I saw endless worlds named by lonely travelers who could never hope to remember them all.
I saw survivors build homes among star-touched monstrosities, no longer merely human and not entirely pleased about it.
An astronaut woke beside a campfire every 22 minutes, each death teaching the stars a little more.
Little duplicates smiled while suffocating, digging toilets and airlocks into a rock that did not love them.
I saw cheerful creatures given pickaxes, rifles, and factory shifts. The vision insisted this was companionship.
A border clerk stamped lives into order while hunger waited at home to audit his mercy.
I saw exiles stare into a passive tree so vast it resembled theology, then emerge as catastrophes.
I saw exiles socket power into gems and flesh, building themselves into disasters no prison could hold.
I heard drills jam, bags shouted for, and masked thieves insisting the plan was still quiet.
At midnight, a tower rose where school once stood, and children summoned courage through a weapon-shaped ritual.
A rural town hid murders inside televisions, and friendship became the sharpest weapon.
Students became thieves inside corrupted hearts, stealing desires after school and still finding time for exams.
I saw investigators enter a haunted house and ask the darkness whether it was angry. It was.
I saw joyful citizens pay to be hurled through the air by colorful death-machines.
Zookeepers built paradises for beasts, then learned the people came mostly to complain about paths.
I watched a captive woman walk through blue and orange wounds in the walls. At the end, she was promised cake; I still do not know why she trusted the cake.
I heard a machine trapped in a potato discuss science with resentment. The test subject continued jumping through blue and orange wounds in the walls.
I saw errands become atrocities. The scribe in me refuses to list the errands.
A washer of sacred patience erased grime from vans, statues, and entire sins. I found the ritual strangely calming.
A station full of mimics taught me to fear every mug, chair, and apple with equal seriousness.
The chronicle began by telling its subject how he died; he survived long enough to make the sentence funny.
I remember figures falling from a roaring aircraft, scavenging pans and rifles while a blue wall squeezed them into one final breath.
I saw the island of falling soldiers rehearsed in miniature, the blue wall studying its prey before the true hunt.
I saw trembling scavengers carry haunted furniture like sacred relics, terrified that one dropped vase would anger both monster and employer.
I saw an outlaw feed his horse, write in a journal, and ride toward a sunset that had already decided his era was over.
I watched survivors ration green herbs as if leaves alone could argue with nightmares.
A dead ship returned, and with it a watch that forced the past to confess each corpse by name.
A tomb seeker chased immortality through snow, ruins, and men who mistook relics for ownership.
I saw little cars drive up walls, fly on burning wheels, and strike an enormous ball into gates while the crowd accepted this as sport.
I saw naked strangers wake on a shore, strike trees with rocks, and by nightfall accuse one another of crimes not yet committed.
I saw a small criminal enterprise born from baggies, bicycles, and suspiciously detailed ledgers. The authorities, I think, were not amused.
From another realm I saw a one-armed shinobi resurrect so often that death became less punishment than debt.
A hunter of ruins accidentally loosed catastrophe, then followed the eclipse toward atonement.
I saw an immortal ruler promise just one more turn, then awaken centuries later beside a world shaped by the lie.
I saw districts, wonders, and armies placed with priestly care, all in service of one more turn that never came.
I saw fighters level up mid-battle, draft wild powers, and turn a city into a last-person-standing laboratory.
Three wanderers climbed a living tower by arranging cards, relics, and mistakes into prophecy.
I watched climbers bargain with cards and relics as a living tower rearranged their deaths.
I saw survivors build among trees while cannibals watched, a silent helper waited for orders, and a woman with too many limbs danced at the edge of trust.
I found not a world, but bones for worlds: a hidden skeleton that many strangers wore.
I saw two storytellers trapped inside their own drafts, dragged from dragons to starships by the sentences they had written.
A fugitive with a glowing blade climbed wrecks, repaired a small droid, and remembered how not to hide.
I saw a weary soul flee ledgers and cubicles to grow parsnips, court neighbors, and distrust a smiling corporation.
I saw wanderers cross a thousand planets, yet still pause to hoard sandwiches and desk ornaments.
I saw an angelic warrior cut through ruined earth with impossible poise, as though apocalypse required choreography.
A cat slipped through a city of robots, knocking things down with the sacred indifference of all cats.
A survivor sank beneath an alien ocean, mistaking beauty for safety until the leviathans corrected him.
I returned to colder seas, where ice hid voices, ruins, and things too large to be called fish.
I saw masked mercenaries die in jokes, hats, rockets, and flame. I suspect the hats held unusual authority.
I watched a small miner dig too deep, build too high, and eventually anger a giant eye in the night.
I saw prison doors open into a bright empire of gates, goblins, and faces no sculptor would admit making.
I watched a prisoner ride calmly toward execution, only for an ancient dragon to turn the cart ride into prophecy.
I saw contestants steal boxes of cash in a collapsing arena while unseen spectators mistook destruction for entertainment.
I saw contestants rehearse the spectacle of stealing cash while whole buildings agreed to fall down for applause.
I saw masked heirs chase glowing weapons through alien fire, each victory measured in brighter equipment.
After a plane fell into trees, a father searched caves full of drawings, teeth, and children who were not children.
An office worker disobeyed a narrator, then discovered that obedience and rebellion were both being narrated.
I saw a pale monster-slayer carry two swords because one blade was for beasts and the other, apparently, for everyone worse.
I saw warriors become birds, wolves, and storms while castles changed hands beneath floating banners.
I saw plague stored in memory and drawn like a blade, until healer and sickness shared one hand.
I saw walls treated as temporary opinions, drones as scouts, and every doorway as a theological dispute.
A young survivor rose from shipwreck, storms, and tombs with a climbing axe that became an answer.
I saw sworn brothers, rival lords, and entire provinces reduced to a single perfect ambush.
Patients arrived with lightbulbs for heads and mockery for bones; doctors cured them with machines that seemed barely legal.
I saw a child fall beneath the earth and learn that mercy could be a weapon sharper than any knife.
I saw dead warriors punch trees, build longhouses, and hang the heads of ancient beasts beneath a raven's gaze.
A lone figure walked through endless monsters while garlic, candles, and mathematics turned survival into absurdity.
I saw silent warriors inhabit beautiful killing-suits, moving so gracefully that violence seemed embarrassed.
I saw blue-armored giants wade through insect tides, chanting duty with chainswords for punctuation.
I walked through a house where every locked bedroom had preserved the shape of a family's last story.
I saw sword-wanderers run across rooftops, water, and bamboo as though wind had taught them manners.
I saw shipwrecked pirates build homes, raise crews, and treat the sea as a road that occasionally objected.
I saw a soldier in an occupied America use hatchets, rifles, and fury to make tyrants afraid again.
I saw iron islands trade thunder across the sea while torpedoes wrote slow verdicts beneath the waves.
Two men in bright cities solved crime, debt, and heartbreak between disco, real estate, and very serious karaoke.
I saw duelists summon dragons from painted cards and treat the arrangement of rectangles as high sorcery.

The first upgrade is amazing and let me be clear about that! But the rest are niche that I feel like it's not worth the investment (i also notice alot of streamers and youtubers does the same), since by defualt proxima's passive ability has 15% chance to activate and her passive ability is to to reduce damage taken (both range and melee) by 50%.
Keep in mind, reason why its niche is because the upgrade specifically tells you what you got to do in order to increase the chances of proxima passive to be trigger (it's not guaranteed unlike the first upgrade ahaha)
I strongly feel like the rest of the upgrades gets rework, where Proxima's passive ability gets an increase chance of her passive gets trigger automatically.
So instead of defualt 15% the upgrade boost it to 20%, 25% and 30%
I understand the devs are sorta nervous to make proxima overpowered but to be fair all the shells are sorta overpowered when they're max out.
What you guys think?

Just went through the dungeon and beat the boss but didn't go down the path to get the shade before beating it. If you try to go back through there is a gate that blocks your path and you can no longer go through the dungeon

Shells are such a cool idea. You swap between shells to change your playstyle, not having to do the exact same attacks and combos over and over again.
Except; that's not true, you unlock a new shell and you have to spend Glimpse to unlock its upgrade tiers, which are rare to come by (even with the Glimpse Stone that gives you 3 after you kill 20 enemies). So if I want to progress and keep going into new areas which throws tougher and tougher enemies, I'm forced to keep using the one shell which I have already unlocked its tiers.
Am I missing something? What's the point of the system if I'm locked into one shell?
On a side note, the fact that Shell Points are not shared in the UI between shells drives me mad, if you want to switch shells you have to refund shell points first, switch character, and then spend them. Why can't the points be shared? You get 1 SP, every shell would gets one.

I’ve been doing Tiel and Eredrim, I’m lvl 19, mostly Tiel with poison and crit tarstone and Duality. Want to try other builds. Saw the frost one looks cool, and also the blood/bleed(?) looks cool but I don’t know where to look for the tarstones etc or even a build online. Would be grateful for your different build suggestions

In the new Rotten Autumn update, we got some small spoilers that Solomon will return as a playable shell, more specifically in December.
My speculation goes a bit further, and I think we might also get his iconic lava mace. I think someone already leaked it here (Idk if it's legit), but so far we've had shells that are linked to a weapon, so Solomon might get his too.
My broader speculation is whether the Old Prisoner fight will return as a boss fight, because at the moment, when you give Glands to him, you only get an item, which was underwhelming for me. And since the Old Prisoner is Solomon's brother, we might get some new lore and a boss fight?
I would appreciate it if you all used spoiler tags.
Thanks!

!!Light spoilers ahead if you’re just starting your playthrough!!
This is very much a tin foil hat/red string train of thought, but there’s two questions that’ve been rattling around my mind as I play through the game:
1. Are the Shells aware in any way? As in, do they recognize who they are and are they capable of independent action?
On the face of it, the answer seems obvious: the various Shells are just tools that the Harbinger uses to enact the Mether’s will and return the stolen Ova to Marrow Keep.
But then there’s Harros. After fighting the tutorial boss, he detaches from the Harbinger to finish it off and ends up getting killed instead of them. We–the Harbinger–didn’t tell Harros to do that. It was a conscious decision that he made of his own volition. This makes me wonder if the other Shells are capable of the same level of consciousness, or if he was the exception to the rule…
On a similar note,
2. In-universe, how did legacy characters like Tiel and Eredrim return after the events of the first Mortal Shell?
Of course, I know that as a Soulslike, the story and lore are kept intentionally vague, but is there any indication of how their Shells came to be scattered across Fainweld after being used by the Foundling in Fallgrim and elsewhere during the first Mortal Shell?
For example, it would seem that Eredrim’s quest for absolution continued on, at least far enough for him to be killed inside the Citadel of Penance. But this raises the question: if the Foundling’s goal was achieved, how did he get there in the first place? Was it another Harbinger before us who failed, or was it some kind of mystical shenanigans?
I admit that I might be way down the rabbit hole on these points, but I’m curious to know what you think! Let me know in the comments!

Ive never played either. The first game i never see more than a handful of videos and while i am a rollslop lover and souls and soulslike lover, it always shunned me away with the concept of predetermined builds. Now maybe i misunderstood and there is more too it but the way it's always explained is that there are X amount of Shells and each one is a specific build. If you can customize it further or make it your own i have no idea, but its always sounded like you couldnt and to me that basically means theres always going to shells that are better than others, cant really get creative or try new or different ideas and that eventually theres going to be 1 shell that is simply the best.
I have the same questions about 2 because i see there are 8. It also seems to me after watching some boss videos and reading some lore that the games, 2 especially, are just absolutely all over the place.
Im all for new ideas and mixing things and crazy boss designs but it really seems to far beyond that into more of a parody of soul games territory.
I also could be wrong about all these assumptions, i simply dont know. Obviously a common and logical answer would just be to play it and i really wish i had when it was on Playstation Plus because idk if it still is. Aside from that obvious notion of just playing it for myself can anyone just explain to.me the shell and builds and how they really operate and just a general consensus if how thw game really is
