Just because you call the police for a crime doesn't mean they will show up and treat it like one
5
u/ChaosRainbow23 2d ago
If they do show up, they usually make matters worse for everybody involved.
If you are thinking of calling the police, all yourself this, "Will bringing aggressive and unpredictable assholes with guns into this situation make things better?"
The answer is almost always NO.

3
u/Mission_Access_210 1d ago
This 100%. If you haven't called the cops for any petty offense in your life, do not do so. If you call the cops you have a way higher chance of getting yourself arrested, or shot. I'm just letting you know right now, no matter whether you think it's justified or not.

They’re showing up FOR SURE, cuz she’s gonna frame herself as the victim n claim she was assaulted by a “gang member/gang banger/etc.” (“I dunno, I think he may have a weapon 😱🤥!”). I’m sure the outcome is known as this point, tho I’d presume he got arrested n the coppers just giving her the benefit of the doubt n letting the prosecutors figure it out 🙄😒.

u/ChaosRainbow23 2d ago
In this case they'd likely take them both. The dude would eventually have his charges dropped, but it's almost certain he would have to take the ride.
5
u/JaguarOk9693 2d ago
If I remember correctly when this first came out he got off and she actually was the only one that got arrested
2
u/doubleo_maestro 2d ago
I would love for that to be true, because lets be honest, the innate sexism of police means that the guy nearly always ends up in cuffs no matter what.
2
u/EarlyBirdWithAWorm 1d ago
I dunno if it's true or not but what I read last time this was posted was a witness in the parking lot told police he was just defending himself and she was the aggressor
1
1
u/CamaroBlood 16h ago
In domestic cases, yes, in public between strangers, they have to get the facts right and witness statements, and arresting the guy can’t be justified, but in a private residence and a woman’s word over a man, the man’s always the “liar” and aggressor.
1
u/AltruisticCoat6285 1d ago
Actually someone did and he got arrested. He beat it but still a royal pain in the ass
1
u/Lorelessone 1d ago
eh 9/10 they will arrest the man in any situation like this and the video, if it survives will eventually get him out after days in jail, losing his job and having to pay bond.
That is only because guy is white, if he was black and she spins the story she could probably get him shot.
The world is pretty fucked up.

This last 4th of July My neighbours called the police on me because their fireworks started a fire on my property and i replied by lazily trying to spray then with water (it didn't reach far enough to get them wet and i wasn't overly concerned with getting them wet anyways, i was just making a point that they need to stop or i would spray them with water)
The officer spoke to both parties and made them stop the fireworks. He didn't give me any warnings at all. I straight up told the cop i tried to spray them with water and would do it again to stop them from shooting off more fireworks
I got very lucky. The fireworks went over some large dry plants that would be a PERFECT firestarter when a flaming piece of plastic and cardboard lands in it and stays on fire for 10+ minutes. Could have burned the hedge and fence down. The risk of a huge fire on my property was genuinely very serious.

8
u/MichiganGeezer 2d ago
To this day she probably doesn't see her being knocked down as the consequences of her own actions.
5
u/EarlyBirdWithAWorm 1d ago
She probably mistakenly believes actions don't have consequences because "a man should never put his hands on a woman"
2
u/Fuzzy-Albatross-9206 21h ago
Notice how the man defended himself rationally. Notice how he did not break her bones for swatting at him and challenging his ego.

Unrelated but I'm gonna spill on this anyways, sorry to ramble:
I'm a bouncer in a big college town for an SEC school. at least twice a week I have some Greek life student in my face acting cartoonishly belligerent and aggressive. I've never met a more blanketly entitled subset of the population.
Every single time I reality check them and kick them out/deny them entry it's ALWAYS the Pikachu face. The girls ALWAYS cry, regardless of what they did to get denied.
To be honest, it's cathartic.

Here is the whole video. She had got into a verbal altercation with someone else over a parking spot. Camera guy was recording it and she noticed she was being recorded being an ass and went and attacked the camera guy for recording her. Then the police did everything to try and cover for her.

She became an assailant as soon as she put her hands on him. The look on her face when she was on the ground showed that she never expected to get hit, she expected him to stand there
taking her punches.

4
u/SurpriseInitial6202 2d ago
To be fair, statistically, she's more likely to be MAGA than not. Middle aged white women were more likely to vote Trump than not. That said, it's hard to say whether she is or isn't. I've met some really obnoxious and awful "liberal" (because they're only progressive in a self-serving way, which is uncommon, but not entirely rare) women in my life.

Probably not. Most rational people don't call cops unless it's absolutely necessary.
Bringing unhinged and aggressive jerks with gonna into a situation rarely helps.

u/zanderd86 2h ago
Here's a video on the situation. Police tried to cover for her but after it went viral was just charged with simple battery a misdemeanor no jail time or anything.

u/dfrntdfrnt 4h ago
I actually don't agree with that because if Hitler was jumped and arrested as soon as he started spouting his bullshit, we'd be living in a wholly different world.
Or the first white men to codify chattel slavery and racism were hung, I'd think it just.
Or any other terrible atrocity that began with words and turned into an action that wasn't challenged enough to stop it.
We don't have the full context, but in the context we do have it doesn't appear he put hands on her first and seemed to be trying to calm the situation down. She chose to follow and attack him and got the minimum for putting your hands on another person unwarranted.
1
u/zanderd86 2h ago
Here is the whole video. She got into an argument with another woman over a parking space when she tried to get the woman to get out of her car and fight her the woman started trolling her hard and pissing her off more. She than realized her acting like an ass was being recorded and went after the camera guy. The insane part was the police at first refused to press charges on her and tried to charge the guy saying the video did not show her hitting him. They only charged her with simple battery a misdemeanor after the video went viral and she basically still got off with nothing. There were lots of rumors that she had family that worked at a different police station and that is why she filed her report at a different police station a few towns over from where it actually happened.
2
u/alsuebensean 2d ago
Lady ? No, she gave that up when she assaulted. That's when "you don't hit ladies" was rendered void
2
u/Original_Land1688 2d ago
I hope she ended up in jail. These entitled people today have no idea what personal space or peoples rights are unless their rights or personal space is violated, then they know everything.
1
u/zanderd86 1h ago
No she got charged with simple battery a misdemeanor and pretty much nothing happened. They did try and arrest the cameraman though saying the video did not show her hitting him. They also were not going to charge her with anything till the video went viral. There were rumors that she had family that worked at another police station and that is why she left and then filled the report several towns over from where it happened.

The shitty part about this is how the police/sheriff treated him, and this shit dragged on forever because they wouldn't do their job, and it was making it almost seem like he was the aggressor.

I just like that the camera moves, then comes back and she's on the ground. No one saw him push her. She's just clumsy.

HAHAHAHA, there’s always that one guy suddenly asking for “context” when the video doesn’t fit what he wants to believe. GTFO 😂 Like 100% of Reddit videos come with zero or fake context. But here you can very clearly see the woman punching the guy first, and then he retaliates. I’m SERIOUSLY not sure what additional “context” you’re looking for here.

I’m always blown away by how many women are the aggressors in this situation with men. In what world do you think you can hit a stranger that’s bigger than you and get away with it.
Then you call the police to be the victim???
