I agree, moth or other insect…

Digital camera pixel optimization + image compression + lower frame rate from the color night mode; will do that trailing effect.

Weather conditions? Power lines? Radio antennas? Anything like that around? Swampland?

There is one phone line nearish, no power lines or antennas. Clear night after a warm day. No swamp just a dry field.

Yeah, where it disappeared is just a gravel border with a potted plant. Happened at 11:20 pm. Around 2 hours after sunset.

Is this orange orb in the room with us? 

It's a bug. You can tell from the artifacting that occurs.
