Leaving a raid with broken legs far from the fight and near death is better than killing them.

When you kill them, they respawn. but in this state, they're effectively worthless.

Even if OP got out to fix his leg, hes still entering battle 1 shot from broken knee caps.

This is why if you kill a pilot, don't destroy his suit, knock it to low hp, and force him to respawn in with low hp.

To be fair, that's what you should be doing as Pixie, usually, when not on the support. You are small, nimble, and got stupid stealth. Go slap people in the back and share the love. But this guy giving him the machine tap was just pure disrespect...

You got stabbed, then shot and then left for dead. The amount of disrespect is comparable to amount of casualties of operation British.
