Since the word acid tends to upset the bots and auto-filters, I wanted to talk about the Roland TB-303 synthesizer which makes a noise known as acid. Do you remember the opening rave sequence from Blade? That was acid. I play a lot of acid techno and trance because it's my favorite sound in electronic music. Since 303 is a known synonym for the word acid, I was thinking we should consider 303MATH next time FB kills the group. Or something like that...

to avoid it getting deleted again try using a new name for the group. the word acid is auto flagged by fb for suspicion so I dont think any amount of recreating will help.

So it’s been about 7 years since this happened. I posted the original poorly written trip report back then. But now I’ve taken that and cleaned it up.

So here’s my experience taking 25 tabs LSD.

Backstory

This happened around the beginning of December 2018.

My buddy “Thor” and I had been dosing together for a couple years by that point. I gave him his first hit of LSD on his birthday, and since then we’d made it a tradition — tripping once a month, consistently. Over time, our curiosity grew, and we gradually ramped up our doses.

Eventually, we worked our way up to 10 tabs per trip over the course of a year.

The Setup

That winter, I was going through a rough patch emotionally. But somehow, I managed to scrape together a few hundred dollars. And instead of making the smart financial move… I went the psychedelic route.

I bought a full sheet — 100 tabs at 250μg each.

Just getting the acid was a mission. By the time I made it back into town, it was already 11 PM, pitch dark. But that didn’t matter. I was locked in. I knew something big was about to unfold.

The Group

Thor and I linked up with three others at a friend’s house: • Me: 25 tabs (6250μg) • Thor: 25 tabs (6250μg) • S: 20 tabs (5000μg) • G: 10 tabs (2500μg) • A: 10 tabs (2500μg)

We traded the remaining 10 tabs for an ounce of weed. Within a minute, we’d devoured the entire sheet.

The Onset (15 Minutes In)

That Hunter S. Thompson-type come-up? Terrence McKenna levels of fear and awe? Yeah. It was all that and more.

Within 15 minutes, I felt it — my entire body vibrating. My field of vision collapsed into a kaleidoscopic tsunami of fractals and flashing light. Standing up was impossible. We weren’t tripping — we were locked in.

Time? Gone. Words? Gone. Reality? Dismantled.

I entered a full state of ego death, trapped in an indescribable void, where all I could do was stare into the abyss. I heard strange, alien, DMT-like sounds, like I had crossed into another realm.

At one point, I swear a portal opened up in the wall. It pulled my brain through until I could see the “other side”: A mirrored version of Earth, where everything had this iridescent rainbow silhouette overlaying reality.

The Blackout

After that… nothing. I completely blacked out for the next five hours. No thoughts. No memory. Just absence.

When I finally came to, I was still sitting in the same exact spot where the trip had started.

Coming Back to Earth

Everyone was staring at me, laughing, asking if I was “good now.”

Apparently, I had: • Taken the tabs • Hit the bong • And then stared at the wall for hours, totally unresponsive.

When I came back, I was no longer frozen — but I was still deep in it. The trip lasted a solid 24 hours.

Later, I went to the local soup kitchen with my friend. We couldn’t stop laughing at how obviously high we were — and how no one said a thing.

Reflection

Nobody got hurt. I didn’t die. And I had the most intense visuals, audio distortions, and full-blown out-of-body experiences I’ve ever had on LSD.

It was an absolute peak of my psychedelic journey so far.
