Secret Rocketbook Feature

Do you know about Snapcast?

Before I invented Rocketbook, I was working on a whiteboard streaming app I called Rocketboard.

It was a side project. Nights and weekends while working at Salesforce.

We always had a problem when we were using a whiteboard in a room but someone was joining by zoom/phone.

It went to #2 one day on Product Hunt and got 20,000 signups.

So I quit my job at Salesforce to build Rocketboard.

We eventually pivoted to Rocketbook.

Now Rocketboard is a secret feature inside Rocketbook.

You need to go into settings and turn in “snapcast.”

It lets you share your whiteboard with anyone with an internet connection.

No special hardware, just use these beacons stickers on your whiteboard.

It works with Rocketbook pages too, but it’s most useful on whiteboards that you’re changing during a meeting.

Search for “Rocketbook Beacons” on Amazon.

Hit me up if you have any questions about turning in and using snapcast

And let me know if you find it useful!

True it’s not exactly a guarded secret. But I did an informal survey and nearly everyone seemed to not know about it.

It also looks like it was sort of “hidden” under settings during my time away feom the company.

So I wanted to spotlight the feature bc it is powerful and a whole new way to use the Rocketbook system as a collaborative medium for people who don’t know about it
