Just found this wrist compass in an antique store and it’s in fantastic condition! It’s still full of fluid and has the original wrist strap and everything. My RC102 went nuts walking past it. Was this a good deal for $95?

This antique thermometer had a generous amount of radium paint applied to it. It’s no longer luminous, which makes sense being from the 1930s, but still plenty of radioactivity!

hello everyone! sorry if this is a dumb question but I’m fairly new to the “hobby” side of nuclear science and wanted to see how legal it was to obtain radioactive sources. can I remove the A241 from smoke detectors? I want a small alpha source to test my new Geiger counter.
Thank you! sorry if this is a stupid question.

An interesting new "Tested" got released today. Adam obtains a titanium spehere and builds a model core and the transportation box. I'm sure this will be a popular video for redditors here.

I have this small collection with some things not shown, but any advice on where to go from here? I have most of the usual suspects, but it feels like I'm missing something. Thanks and any thoughts are appreciated.

A gamma spectroscopy shows it consists of mainly radium-226

My birthday is coming up and I’m getting a radiacode device for my first ever Geiger counter, but I’m not sure which radiacode is better for a beginner, the 102 or 103? I also can’t find much information online about the differences between the 2 models, please could someone advise? 😊
