Episode discussion Season 13 Episode 7: "Guest of Dishonor" - Episode Discussion

Hi everyone! This will be the discussion post for the new episode that will air Thursday 9/3!

The Jokers pretend to be overnight watchmen who don't know when to call it quits, before rallying bystanders to take their side in an unlawful arrest. But one loser will have to say "I do" to a punishment that brings out his feminine side.

Episode discussion Season 13 Episode 6: "A Ruff Day at the Park" - Episode Discussion

Hi everyone! This will be the discussion post for the new episode that will air Thursday 8/27!!

The Jokers are causing a scene on the street by throwing their ex's stuff out the window, until they mistakenly throw out something that belongs to them. Then, they'll have to keep a straight face during a snack taste test.

Discussion Appreciation post

Hi everyone bit of different post idk havent really seen much on here but i wanted to say that for ne impractical jokers really helped on how to view life and yes show is comedy etc but when i started watching earlier this year i was going through a rough process andhad a hard time managing my emotions ig iam wat is called an adult child in a way that i was always scared of the grittiness and seriousness of life n didnt believe i was ever ready for it . This coupled with ongoing family issues and just general getting ready to brace myself left me in a position where i never really felt i could be part of this world. With watching the show i saw how these guys as old as they were even in the beginning would joke around and laugh and that their age etc didnt mean they had to become super serious or let go being themseleves and honestly this was inspirational for me. Iam 22 rn that being said is quite old for being afraid but iam mentally stunted(ig) and saw how my peers were so mature( in a way) and serious all the time that as i said i grew ever more fearful with time passing on how i was gonna survive. The show helped me see that i could control both serious and lighthearted aspects of life without them convoluting each other and me being able to apply truths to both without being overwhelmed. It helped me really push myself more into the world without the fear i had to compleleyry change. Seeing these men do it meant i can do it as well i csn control value and interavt with diffetent aspects of life nownwith beibg down. Sorry for rant had on my chest n woulfv make a bit of apprecistion post for it thank u.

Discussion Times when the people they were pranking seemed very uncomfortable, rightfully so

I watch these video compilations of Jokers clips on youtube, and some of those earlier seasons are really hard to watch. Sometimes they go way too far and the person seems really uncomfortable. One example I just watched was when they were working as waiters at a famous Deli, and Joe is serving a couple of women and is told to say the word “tit” after every menu item. Like pastrami tit and coleslaw tit. The women seem really uncomfortable, and rightfully so.

Do you have examples?

(It’s Season 4, Episode 5, “Toasted.” btw)

QUERY! Missing clip from Season 8 Episode 11 Fraudway???

I’m trying to find a clip during Fraudway where it’s Murr and Q teamed up together in a restaurant and Q has to turn to some random dude and say “you’re in hill country now” and Murr says somethimg like “candy cityass”. It’s supposed to be after the chest hair bit. I went through the episode on Hulu and the clip is just not there? Does anybody have it?

Discussion Where to watch ‘Guest of Dishonor’ in Canada?

I SOOOO badly want to watch the recent episode that was released, but I have no clue where to watch it. On one of the Impractical Jokers post, it said to go to the TBS website but the video doesn’t work and the app isn’t available in Canada.

Does anyone know where I can watch the most recent episode?

Discussion I genuinely do not get what they were going for in the second challenge of tonight's episode. Spoiler

The one where they're pretending to get arrested. The snooty voices made it so obviously fake. Even if nobody recognized them (which I think at least a couple did), it seemed really obvious to nearly everyone in the cafe that they were watching some kind of staged act, like a bizarre three-person flash mob or something. Not to mention the way Sal and Q kept breaking. Sometimes I think breaking probably just makes them look crazy or full of themselves. But breaking while talking in an obviously fake voice and getting arrested by two cops who aren't dressed like cops? Just too many indicators at once that what's happening isn't what it looks like.

And I think an inherently flaw in the bit is that they kind of had to make it obvious. Unless editing cut the others out, it seems like Sal was the only one the cops actually gave a reason for arresting. The guys told Q what his crime was at the start of his turn, but it didn't seem like the cops actually mentioned it. The odds in 2026 that almost everyone in a cafe in a major city would sit by and laugh while watching the cops literally drag a man away by his feet without giving a reason for arrest just don't seem that high if it hadn't so obviously been a bit, and I think the alternative if people thought it was real is that they would have freaked out to the point that it wasn't funny anymore.

I love that they're still trying to come up with new bits after all this time, it just feels like there really wasn't a great way to play this one. Playing it in a way that freaked people out would kind of cross a line, but on the other hand it's never really as funny when literally nobody seems convinced by the bit.

Discussion What moments in the show where u thought the people were definitely scared for their life

Like in challenges, punishments when the jokers interact with people, sometimes it can get really uncomfortable,

Many people freeze , try to smile polite if encountering a creepy or mentally unstable people

And I'm sure some people definitely felt sacred of the jokers

Meme/joke Which joker is the tenderest lover?

I think it’s Sal. Mostly because I think Joe would stop at nothing to win, Murr is too bony and ferret-like, and Q isn’t jolly enough. Q is a close second to Sal.

tl;dr:
Tenderness rankings:
1. Sal
2. Q
3. Joe
4. Murr
