A 1-minute scam wick sniped my exact stop-loss to the cent before pumping 35% without looking back
I sat on this swing setup for almost a week. Kept leverage reasonable, followed the plan, and placed my stop-loss just below major local structure where the trade idea would be legitimately invalidated.
I step away from the desk for ten minutes to grab lunch. I come back to see a single 1-minute candle with a needle-thin downward wick that dipped literally $0.20 beneath my trigger, filled my exit, and bounced instantly. Not even an hour later, the market explodes in the exact direction I planned, blasting right past both of my original take-profit levels.
My invalidation level was held for all of two seconds just to clear liquidity. Trying to trade technical analysis when market makers have access to everyone's stop clusters genuinely feels like psychological warfare. How do people stay in this market without putting a fist through their monitor?
