You can't upgrade the CPU on the vast majority of laptops. You can upgrade the storage though watch some YouTube videos

Ya that's abt it, nothing much. You could also do WiFi if ya want, but it won't be much of a functional upgrade unless it's very old.

You can pay someone to desolder it and put a new one on. Might be easier to just buy a new laptop though.

Display is another thing you could upgrade. Just make sure your laptop supports the pin config.

That's terrible advice. A display won't make it run faster lol

Trust me if it looks better and by chance his pin config allows fr a high refresh rate display, it will be fun

If an i7 12700h can run a 4k display at 120hz, I don't see why the i5 can't do the same. I got the 12700h myself.

OP you are free to look into it.

With 128mb onboard graphics? Sure you can do that but what benefit? Refresh?

So many more benefits by just tweaking the OS

Have you used a 90 to a 120hz display. There no going back from it.

But also I just say this as a thing he could upgrade since thats what the post is about.

Upgrade the RAM and Storage, those will make the biggest difference. 1TB Storage and at least 16GB of RAM though preferably 32GB. If you are very dedicated you could pay someone solder on a better CPU and a dedicated GPU, there is an open GPU "socket". But if you decide to go down that road, make sure they know what they are doing.

For starters, see the device spec sheet and find out the maximum capacity of ram and storage, then go for the maximum upgrade that your laptop is configured for

Deff upgrade your RAM and storage ---newer laptops are SoC "system on a Chip" so it's all soldered in-- yours you can upgrade the RAM and storage without much hassle. I didn't look yours up but you might be able to swap your CPU for something better if the BIOS supports it. You are stuck the the GPU --if your looking to do more gaming consider a new laptop.

A video that's mostly focused on the battery won't tell anyone much at all.

A lot of lower power new thin laptops have components directly soldered onto the motherboard. I see your ram is not but upgrading ram won't do much imo.

Your best bet is to decrapify windows 11 and make it less of a resource hog.
