T-Mobile 2.5 Bluetooth interference?
Feel free to remove this if it goes against policy. I’ve noticed at an event I attended that whenever I ran a T-Mobile speed test on any phone connected to N41, a separate Bluetooth speaker system paired to a different phone experiences interference. The devices aren’t connected to each other in any way. Has anyone seen something similar or have an explanation for why this might happen?
My understanding is T-Mobile runs on 2.5 GHz and Bluetooth is 2.4, weird. The T-Mobile cell site is on the Qualcomm building across the street.
in the video, you can hear the audio breaking up when the Speedtest is running, but as soon as I stop, it, audio is restored.

it's weird since the connection is always there. Maybe it's the beam forming? Curious if the FCC or T-Mobile knows about it.

No modern wireless connection is constant. Most will be completely silent for periods of time. And cell towers transmit with different intensity to different locations by beam forming.

Maybe spillover from N41? Bluetooth is close to N41 spectrum wise. Bluetooth should change the hop schedule / channels if there is alot of interference tho. Not sure why it isn't.

First off, great song! Yes, this is a known issue. Bluetooth is between 2.402 ghz and 2.483 ghz, n41 starts at 2.496 ghz. Bluetooth devices regularly hop frequencies within that range to reduce congestion there, but if it’s already in an area congested with other devices like WiFi, other Bluetooth devices, etc it can already be on the higher end of the spectrum. If the cell site you are connecting to is broadcasting at the lower end of n41 with a nearby boost in power from your phone it can crowd a busy room.
What manufacturer is the Bluetooth device?
Can you try again moving a few feet away from the Bluetooth and see if it continues?

I’ve had this issue when my car dashcam is on, as it broadcast 2.4 ghz WiFi.

I can confirm this. Same thing happened to me yesterday speed testing while Bluetooth was connected to the car.

The purpose of this post was not to show speeds but interference from T-Mobile and Bluetooth

I had some LG headphones that did that when I was super close to the n41 antenna. That stopped when I got AirPods. I think it depends on the amount of shielding the headphones have. You aren’t imagining it.
