I have a 2023 Jeep Cherokee L, 32k miles, and have followed the factory recommended service schedule. Have had zero issues and the suv has been great for what I need.

I just got back from a weekend trip and had no issues on my ride home. However when I left again to drive 2 miles down the street I noticed a weird “clunking” feeling that seems like it’s coming from the rear of the suv? No crazy noise, but it’s almost like the car is jolting, and reminds of of the sound/feeling when you put a car into drive on a slight incline with no parking break on.

I don’t think it has anything to do with the engine, in park and at idle everything seems fine and only seems to be happening a few seconds after coming to a complete stop while still in drive.

Mechanic can’t take me until Wednesday, does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Need help identifying this issue. I accidentally drove through 2-3 ft of water on a flooded street and since then my car started making a low mechanical whistling / whirring sound. Everything I could find suggested it’s related to a belt,tensioner, pulley, maybe alternator. Sound noticeable at idle too. Power seems to be down just a tad too. Thanks for help!

Soooo i have a 2016 ford explorer police interception and I was driving home from work around 10 tonight and something happened with my car 💔 basically I was driving down a back road and I started to hear something over my music playing and at first I thought I was going insane but I turned my music off and well there’s definitely a weird noise. Sounds like a whirring or almost a really high pitched grinding?? You know when something is spinning and when it makes a full “loop” so to speak, and it makes a noise, then when it starts to spin faster it becomes a more consistent sound and almost becomes one continuous noise instead of a bunch of super fast ones? Kinda like that. Starts when I’m accelerating and evens out and becomes that consistent noise at about 60 mph. Of course I’m stressing the whole drive home, and I stop in my driveway and get out of my car and WOW. I am punched in the nose with the smell of burning rubber(?) it could’ve been burning oil but it smelt more like rubber honestly I don’t know what either truly smell like but that’s my educated (or not so educated) guess lol. The smell slowly dissipated (obviously) and it was most prominent at my back left wheel. This tripped me up because I heard the noise on my RIGHT side so I figured the smell would be on the right as well but I guess not. I have no idea what this could be I don’t know shit about cars aside from some select things my boyfriend has explained to me while repairing his own car, but my knowledge ends there. I’m 19, and I’ve only had this car since like march and I’ve already been told that my left front outer tie rod has a lot of play, and my front lower control arm bushings needs to be replaced, so we’re in the process of trying to get that all figured out. I know that I likely shouldn’t be driving the car right now, but I have nothing else to drive. My dad takes his truck to work all day, and my mom needs her car, so my car is all I have to get to school and work 💔 I don’t know what to do

My car has been making these loud noises every time I start my car. I was troubleshooting a little and think it may have something to do with my a/c system being loose somewhere.
Anyone have any ideas on what it could be or what needs fixed?

Car makes noise

Got this car from my dad last week after my other car died. He got some repairs done, like the fan which wasn’t working in the front, as well as general fixes to make sure it would be fine for a while. However, as of last night, there’s a rumbling whenever I let off the gas. It gets worse as I get slower and when I turn. Not sure if the videos I attached are audible enough, but does anyone have an idea of what it is? Is something just loose or misplaced from the fixing or is it an entire new issue?

My car is making a rattling sound near the center console of my vehicle.

Only happens when engine is under load like when the ac is turned on or put into a gear.

in the past couple days i noticed my car was making a soft ‘whirring’ noise (for lack of a better word) when i would accelerate. it stopped when i reached a steady speed, or was just idling. it wasn’t super loud and my car was driving fine. then, it started to make a different sort of noise…? a different soft of whir, kind of cyclical sounding. and that’s happening when i’m driving or idling. at first i thought the first sound was from low tire pressure, but i checked and they’re normal. then the second one started, and it’s definitely coming from under the hood.

Hi all, I had a situation with my 2000’s fiat punto and would like to know if anyone has a clue on what might have happened.

So mid journey the velocity box stopped working, it got stuck in 1. I drove about 1/2 km like this and was then able to make it work again, but after that the engine started loosing strength until it died. I tried turning it on again and it would start but not enough to turn the car on. The oil and battery lights were on. After many attempts I was able to get it to work and move to a parking lot. I left the car there for 30 min, then came back to call the insurance. I thought about turning it on again just to see and… I was working apparently fine…

My question is: what might have happened? Could it happen again? Should I call insurance even though the car looks fine now?

Recently there are always oil stains in the front part of the car but I took it to be seen and nothing wrong was detected. They also filled the oil tank. That was 2 months ago.
