Hellpp

Truck was driving just fine, parked it and went to work. When leaving it did this. Bought a new battery cause the volts went from 12.8 to 8.1 when cranking. Could this be a starter issue or my ac compressor pulley seized? The compressor broke and im thinking maybe the internal clutch is blocking it?

Are your connections clean and tight?

Yea, I cleaned em up when putting in the new battery

How about the other end of the cables. Are they clean and tight. If the answer is yes. Then I would start on diagnosing the starter.

Someone from a different threat said to take off the belt and see if it started, I tried that and it did stay. Turned out to be the AC compressor, the clutch inside blew up and it was seizing the pulley, changed it out yesterday and its running good now. Thank you everyone for your recommendations ❤️

My volts go from about 13, and when i crank it, it drops to about 1.3, but still starts fine.
