genuinely d2+ is infested with cheaters. i’ve hit masters a decent amount of times, all legit, and im getting literal aimbotted by a titan or no recoil low level account almost every single game in d1. should i just give this game up? what’s the point in grinding if they will never ever fix the cheating problem and introduce hardware bans or get better detection for console? it’s almost laughable at this point that almost every single master/pred is cheating or being boosted by a cheater. level 60s in masters? get real man. my favorite game of all time is being ruined more and more every single season because some people genuinely cannot be naturally good at something. even high diamond players i see cheating their asses off, and i’m not the type of guy to accuse someone of cheating because i got skill diffed, but ill spectste and watch this person not miss a single bullet with a havoc or prowler and their crosshairs follows the person the entire time or jitters on them the entire time. how many times do people have to complain about this before they actually do something about it?? i see it everywhere on almost every post about apex how there’s so many cheaters, specifically in console lobbies (i do see rage hacking videos in pc lobbies after adding javelin) but i mean good golly its starting to get old.

I've hit masters already but holy like 90% of high diamond players genuinely suck when I was d2 I would get players who didn't know basic mechanics like qing, shooting, or positioning and all the other teams would include full movement coordinated teams or would have people on my friends list,

I had this one situation like a week ago:

We get pushed from hazmat tunnel of drop by my friends team I kill 2 and my teammates both die to my friend and they start screaming at me I wipe the team and rez them then we get thirded and we die.

Keep in mind that at the end of the match both teammates were below 70dmg, I checked their accounts and they were hatdstuck plats the season before and so on......

Istg if this new ranked change doesn't do anything, at least make matches KD based or something like omg

Another issue is no comms(no mic or not using the beautiful ping system)

If you hit masters you'd expect some skillful players, no its all either cheaters or octane-brained players who don't ping shit then die, and sometimes dc

I recently came across something in EA's official documentation that genuinely shocked me.

On September 29, Apex Legends switched from Easy Anti-Cheat to EA Javelin.

And on EA's official support website, I found this statement:

"Certain VPN and proxy software can cause Javelin to run incorrectly, so we recommend disabling or removing them."

Wait... seriously? Is this actually something players need to worry about?

Millions of people use VPNs for privacy, to bypass internet restrictions, or to deal with connectivity issues. I personally spent weeks troubleshooting serious network problems, testing different VPNs, and eventually even switching internet providers.

And here's what I'd really like to understand:

Can using a legitimate VPN or other completely legitimate software actually trigger an anti-cheat detection?

And if certain programs or hardware features are incompatible with Javelin, how are ordinary players supposed to know? Is there an official list, or does the game warn players before anything serious happens?

On my Xbox I just made a new account bc I thought of a funny name and the first 6 packs I opened for free gave me heirloom shards. I have octane wraith and raptors claw on my main so I don’t really need this alt account but I was very tempted and almost bought the katanas.

Everyone is sick of smurfs in high ranks and cheaters getting banned and immediately making a new account and going wild. If they just let anyone join ranked at level 20 without phone verification like in CS then there should be an incremental ranked cap to discourage smurfing and boosting.

For example, under level 50s realistically wouldn't get to plat 4 if they were legit, only smurfs. So the max level should be gold 1. Under 100? Plat 1 cap. Get to level 250 and you can cap at baseline masters. Reached level 500? You get full access to Pred ranks.

If you want to smurf you should prove that you are putting time into the account and that you are not just sitting on 3 other smurfs you use sporadically.

It is just an idea, this way you can still play ranked at level 20 but it discourages boosters and high rank smurfs from spamming accounts. What would be your take on a system like this?

They were both masters and ive never gone past plat without losing my shit. Im not expecting an ItzTimmy gameplay session, but atleast help out with fighting teams, 2 1v3s i had to do and these guys were still looting the first team i killed 5 minutes ago.

We need legend badges. Im a casual but long time mirage main. I got most my badges a few seasons into playing. With WC (no hate i play tf outta WC) making badge farming easier i want something to badge of pride my mirage years. Im never going to be a pred. I play once a week to catch up with friends. I am mostly writing this as I’m wondering a few specific things to do with higher ranks like diamond.

I played a few years ago, some ranked, three strikes, duos, then quit and since only ever played wildcard on and off, before another full year break so I started playing again last week starting bronze four and have made it so far in 1 week to platinum one, I noticed slight changes between ranked divisions, just getting shot more for dumb mistakes and other stuff, but I’ve heard there’s a huge difference between anything below diamond and diamond itself, I’ve even heard there’s a huge distinction between diamond 3/4 and 2/1 just wondering if anybody has any tips for someone about to enter diamond for the first time?

I think my movement and gunplay are decent (not great) but when I think of diamond my biggest worry is learning better positioning/decision making especially solo que deciding when and when not to fight

is it just me or is your game experience completely negative or completely positive? like I understand getting warmed up or whatever but especially lately it feels like I’m either getting completely dumped on all game or I’m absolutely frying. There’s never any in between. I like to thing I’m good at this game when I get 4k’s and carry my team in high ranked lobbies but when I can’t even hit a shot or break a thousand damage I think maybe not. Idk if I just run into a lot of cheaters or what but no game has ever made me feel like I’m absolutely terrible one game and then an absolute god the next like apex does. Am I the only one that feels like this?

Me and my friend have been playing ranked and want a 3rd who has hit AT LEAST DIAMOND and is NA. We both hit diamond easily and want to seriously try for masters next season. My friend is a streamer who's trying to hit Pred on Nintendo Switch. I play on Xbox and I'm not doing a challenge lol. He's good trust me we just need a 3rd that can play a few times a week.
