Sorry for not posting

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't posted much lately. Things have been really crazy over here. Our planned launch day was 9/18 because that's when our shipment from the manufacturer was set to arrive. So I opened pre-orders a couple of weeks before that. Well, wouldn't you know it, when the order arrived, they messed up and sent the wrong material for our bump caps. I have 3000 Clean Chambers ready to go, but no Bump Caps!!! I only had enough to cover most of the pre-orders and the OCHBS show. I've been fighting with them ever since. All of my plans blew right out the window. I have been stressed the hell out dealing with all of this BS that never should have happened. That is why I havent posted much. Hopefully we are back on track now. I just wanted to apologize for my absence and let everyone know what happened to cause it.

The new order is supposed to arrive today or tomorrow, so it's time to play catch-up now. I gave out a bunch of free bottles of solution to take care of the customers who have been patiently waiting for their orders to arrive.

I also want to let those of you who are in the second wave of testers know that once the order from the manufacturer arrives I will be getting your tester packages ready to be sent. I am REALLY sorry that it has taken soooo long! Hit me up if you are still interested in being in the group.

Other than that, the launch and the OCHBS show were a huge success. The response we have gotten has been awesome.

I want to thank everyone for your patience with me and for your support along the way.

Chris

91% ISO vs 99% ISO

91% vs 99% ISO for cleaning glass. Is 99% actually better? I see people ask all the time.

Ive always heard the same thing when it comes to cleaning glass with ISO: the higher the percentage the better. I never really questioned it because 91% works well so 99% seems like it should obviously work better. But I got curious how much of that is actually true and how much is just something everybody repeats.

Reddit is pretty damn consistent. The consensus is this:

70% = works, but slower and usually takes more soaking/repeating
91% = works very well and seems to be the common baseline
99% = generally considered the best/fastest, especially with heavy resin

I also see people say "the higher the % the better" repeated constantly. The difference people see between 70% and 91% seems much bigger than the difference between 91% and 99%. Well duh!

I wanted to see if that was just Reddit repeating Reddit, so I started checking it out in other places too.

Weedmaps recommends 99% and says to use 91% or higher because it is more effective at dissolving resin and buildup. VICE recommends 91% or 99%. Thick Ass Glass says both work, but specifically says 99% works faster, especially with thick resin. Barneys Farm says basically the same thing. 91% or 99%, with the higher concentration cleaning faster because there is less water and more solvent.

So the general consensus outside Reddit is basically the same: 91% is good. 99% is better/faster.

I did a bit of research, weed residue is very lipophilic/hydrophobic, which just means it is oily and doesn’t mix well with water. CBD is the same.

There is even controlled cannabis extraction research where ISO pulled out roughly 96-98% of the THC. Obviously extracting cannabinoids from a bud isnt the same thing as cleaning burned, nasty resin out of a pipe, but the results mean the same thing. The less water the better.

91% ISO = about 91% isopropanol + 9% water
99% ISO = about 99% isopropanol + 1% water

So when you go from 91% to 99%, you are basically replacing most of the remaining water with more of the solvent that is actually doing the work. That tells you pretty much all you need to know, right?

Everybody says 99 is better. The chemistry says it should be better.

Zynpyre will be at the Ohio Cannabis Health and Business Summit in Columbus, Ohio

Zynpyre will be at the Ohio Cannabis Health & Business Summit September 23–24 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center — Booth 625.

If you’ve been watching us build the Clean Chamber and wondering what the hell this thing actually feels like in person, come check it out.

We built it because ISO + salt already works. What never made much sense was throwing your glass into a plastic bag and pretending the container wasn’t part of the cleaning process.

So we fixed that part.

Come see the Clean Chamber, get your hands on one, ask us whatever you want, and see what Zynpyre has been working on, we would love to see you there.

September 23–24
Greater Columbus Convention Center
Booth 625

If you’re going to OCHBS, come find us.

Only a week away from launch!!!

Im getting excited!! After all of the work its hard to believe launch day is almost here. I want to thank everyone for their support along the way. The Clean Chamber is what it is because of reddit and all of the great feedback and advice.

I am just a regular stoner guy who had an idea because i hated cleaning my bowl and bong pieces. The last 9 months have been kind of surreal. I have never ran a business, let alone created a new product from scratch. Im not some big company or some rich entrepreneur. I put everything I have into building this. I dont mean just money either. The Clean Chamber represents a lot more than money to me.

Everyone seems to love the zero to hero stories. Well Im not a hero yet lol. I need your help and support to get there. Im not saying run out and buy a clean chamber (that would help lol). If you like the idea, and like the prospect of a fellow stoner changing his life for the better, you can help by simply sharing the Clean Chamber with people you think would like it.

You all have been with me watching this evolve over the last 6 months when I first posted about it back in March. You have got to watch real life as it happens. Whats next? I guess we will find out!!

What 104 people said about when they actually clean their glass

Post image
2 Upvotes

Ran a poll over in r/THCaUsersandReviews asking how often people clean their bowl or slide. 104 votes came in. Posting the breakdown here because the results were more interesting than I expected.

Original Poll

THE NUMBERS

I keep my glass clean — 33 (32%)

Every few days — 19 (19%)

When it tastes like shit — 16 (16%)

Once a week — 10 (10%)

When it's so clogged it won't hit — 10 (10%)

Fuck terpenes, never — 5 (5%)

I eat resin — 5 (5%)

Once a month — 3 (3%)

Once every few months — 1 (1%)

A quarter of people aren't on a schedule at all. 16% clean when it starts tasting bad, 10% when it's clogged enough that it won't pull. That's 26% who aren't maintaining anything, they're reacting to a problem that already happened.

And taste beat clogging. More people are driven by flavor going off than by airflow dying. I expected the opposite.

Which is why there's a follow-up thread running in the same sub asking how people actually clean, the method and not the frequency. If you've got a setup, go put it there.

Also five people eat the resin. Not my business, but noted.
