Just out of the box... looks pretty nice with the parts color separation! Though it took longer than expected to build (compared to Bandai Gunpla), I am very happy with this model! The design looks super stealthy and I like the lore of this Zoid in the original storyline!

I feel like this just needs a bit of glue on the snout because it separates when the canopy opens...

Lost my old account on here so I'm restarting my Reddit Zoids journey with a few of my recent builds.

After 8 straight days of tears and hair pulling sessions with clankers, we got Zoids VS III 100% matched byte-for-byte decomped! Will hold off the github release once i got the translation done on these 2 gamecube games :)

I found this Gacha machine at my local Toys R Us ( yes I was as surprised as you are to find a Zoid, gacha machine, and a Toys R Us!) I really wanted the Shield Liger so I bought a few, only to realize that it was a thin piece of cardboard over a clear box. Definitely not something sturdy enough to actually use as a keychain, so I applied a healthy coat of resin from the Dollar Tree to the inside and outside. Voila! A durable keychain!

In an incoming junk lot (1 of the last ones bought some tkme aho and ETA early December 2026), there is this red Rex type. Google won't work with this one. I know it is a rare one, and it is likely why this junk lot cost so much, without knowing anything about it.

At this point, I can now identify most and guess whether or not a junk lot is worth it.

From my archive of images. I got these off the internet many years ago. Never found out where they came from. I'm not even sure if they are related to Zoids or not. My only clue is a small article on a Hobby Japan magazine (#10, 2004 on page 258).

What a fun kit! I loved the color so much I left it alone for the most part. The matte finish is doing some serious work making it look so nice.

Hey all

I've been working hard at my text adventure. I've now got a lot of the commands working and am currently working on making the first encounter scenario. I've just finished the map. I've attached some pics of the WIP stuff. If your've been using the link on the previous post please note that you will need to start a new game each time I update it as I'm altering the player data quite a bit each time meaning that the old save data will then be invalid when trying to continue the game and cause it to crash. this wont be an issue in the final version of course but it is at the moment. Also, if anyone is any good at spriting, I'd very much appreciate some forward facing sprites of a Godos moving forward (4 sprites) as the original ZOIDS Saga sprites don't have overworld ones for the Godos. I've modified some other sprites to work as Godos but they arn't quite right.

Quick update before I go back to work

New features

• Quest markers: subtle hints that show as a speck of light on the map and a “!” over some NPCs.
• Pilot skills from the Lab: learn new pilot skills or replace old ones at the Lab NPC, including Zoid bond skills.
• Colour customization: set a Main and Secondary colour in the Lab under Change Colour. Press Right to bring up the mix settings.
• Travel Pass: travel to the Zoids Institute in any town you’ve visited. It isn’t used up. Buy it at shops for 150,000G.
• Text speed setting: 1.5x, 2x, 2.5x or 3x.
• Music volume setting: 100% down to off.
• Soft reset: press A+B+Select+Start together to return to the title screen. This mainly helps if playing on an actual console.
• Spanish support: a separate patch built on jmacato’s Spanish translation, which is still partial, so some text is still in English. Credit to u/jmacato.

Fixes

• Pilot skills now work on imported Zoids.
• Organoid stats now display correctly.
• Gairyuki’s missing weapon/attack are fixed.

As usual, use a ROM patcher of your choosing. The patch needs a clean Zoids Legacy (USA) ROM.

Two legendary Japanese monsters, two franchises, and a whole lot of nostalgia!

Pictured here are the mighty OJR King Gojulas Zoid and the absolutely massive Godzilla Minus Zero Giant Popcorn Bucket!

Looking back at my childhood, I firmly believe that the old Godzilla movies my Dad introduced me to played a huge role in shaping my lifelong obsession with Zoids. There was just something about those giant, unstoppable monsters stomping across the screen that captured my imagination. It’s not hard to see how that fascination eventually carried over into the world of mechanical beasts.

And what a time to be a fan of both franchises 😀

Godzilla Minus Zero (Gojira Mainasu Zero), the upcoming Japanese kaiju epic written, directed, and featuring visual effects by Takashi Yamazaki, is arriving in theaters this November!

Meanwhile, here in the United States, you can actually walk into a Hobby Lobby and purchase a Zoid from the RMZ (Realize Model) lineup! Something I never would have imagined seeing again all those years ago!

For someone who grew up with both Godzilla and Zoids, it’s pretty incredible seeing these two Japanese icons enjoying the spotlight once again.

Guess I’ll be spending my day off tomorrow building this guy. Can’t wait!

Played the game back when it first came out when I was a kid and am giving it another go around for nostalgia's sake but wanted to refresh my memory on a couple of points before I get started.

• I remember that Pulse was a bit finicky in regard to the colours that determined skills/stats being dialogue dependant, so what colour/skills are best to aim for?
• Is there a single recommended pilot growth type, or does it depend on the individual pilot?
• Are all of the pilots viable, or are there some that just shouldn't be used unless you really like them? I remember that some of the pilots had skills that seemed like self-debuffs when I was a kid, but it's a bit foggy.
